strandinthewind 02-09-2005 11:36 AM

Thanks for posting Livia. Looks like it's getting serious between those two, I mean going on a national talk show together? I wonder if wedding bells aren't so far off.

GardenStateGirlie 02-09-2005 12:58 PM

I can't wait to see it

SHE IS SO MF'ING HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She looks in her 20's there and she is over 40 - SHEEEBUS

Gypsy-Rhiannon 02-09-2005 01:05 PM

She looks great! And she is 43 on Friday!

Apparently this was posted in US weekly:

"VCR alert! In an interview set to air on February 11 (Sheryl Crow's 43rd birthday!), Oprah Winfrey got the usually reserved singer and her cyclist beau, Lance Armstrong, 33, to open up about everything from their pasta dinner dates at home to the fliratious blackberry messages that started their relationship. The singer- who held hands with armstrong throughout the chat- also debuted a new long song 'I know why' inspired by her man. The inside story on the serenade? Crow said she likes to sing to him during his post cycling massages. Awww!"

well, she does look good - I love that she realized studpid fad diets are only a band aid solution to the problems of poor eating and lack of exercise. But, she looks great. I wonder what she did other than a face lift. I think she had her eyes lifted as well. AND - I say more power to her for doing so!!!!

Oprah had work done?? I didn't even notice lol...I don't watch that often because I'm never home to do so...I did see her in person at a conference I went to last year though - and she looked great - it was a very inspiring speech she gave as well :D

I love Oprah and get O magazine. I find it very inspiring. I don't often get to watch her show because of my schedule. But this Friday I may get to since I will probably have my 40 hours done early due to a couple of late nights already! I think I'll plan on it! :-)

I think she looks like she did. But that is just my speculation. I did not get a chance to ask her

Yeah - I was hoping to meet her at that conference I was attending - but they ushered her in and out in the blink of an eye - I just got to blind her as I snapped a picture in front of the podium :p

Ted Koppel, on the other hand, no security at all - I just marched right on up to him...but dammit - I wanted to meet Oprah - not Ted Koppel

Ha. The fact that she so brazenly lies about not having a thing done is a real turn-off. And I like Oprah, however asinine she may be.

Have you seen her abs? She had so much fat and waste sucked out of her stomach that even Japan refused to take it.

Livia 02-09-2005 07:33 PM

And if you get the Oxygen channel - tune in for the After Oprah show Friday as well - it's on at different times everywhere and it's usually 30 minutes of audience Q&A.

I saw that once when she had the Desperate Housewives cast on, it wasn't too bad, actually.

I'm not sure she had fat sucked, but if she didn't have an eyelift, I'll be a one eyed monkey...Oprah's ok. I like her shows sometimes, but not her that much. Even though she's a "good person" and all that.

I refuse to believe she hasn't had lipo. Have you seen her on the cover of O recently? I was shocked. She's definitely had body work done, no one at that age and with all that yo-yo dieting can look that good.

I like her book club selections and some of her shows, but is it just me or has she gotten very sensationalistic and, dare I say, a little trashy these past two seasons? Her shows on suburban call girls and a kid who was molested confronting her molester left really bad tastes in my mouth. :o

I haven't watched her much on the last two seasons. I thought her trimness was due to her general overall weightloss, and i was thinking, she's never had a child, her tummy could be that tight, i suppose. But actually, since she had all that weight before, she probably did have a tuck. Yeah, those do sound sensationalistic. A lot of times when i'm watching her, I think that she treats serious things that i want to know more about very shallowly, like she doesn't quite get the crux of the situation. And sometimes i just think she says stupid stuff. But overall, her show is usually pretty informative. Lots of times it's too much about "Oprah", though.

She lost me when she had a show about salad-tossing.

I do agree when it comes to her treatment of situations. She treats everything lightly, gets a guest all worked up, and really says nothing to comfort them. At least Maury tries to comfort his guests.

Ellen is the funniest woman ever! I have her CD "Taste This" her comedy is the best! She should put out more live comedy CD's. But Taste This is great! Does anyone have this CD also?

have you ever seen her be too comforting, though? You know, making a big emotional deal where there wasn't much of one? I have.

Yeah, every time she has Tom Hanks on to talk about his new ****ty movie.

And I loooooooooooooooooooooove how she gets all this acclaim for giving her entire audience new cars. She didn't buy them, people, HELLO! And these people got stuck having to pay all the goddamned taxes on them!

  well, I like Tom ok - him, not necessarily his movies. Anyway -
"the show" buys the cars, or the network, right? you think they don't pay the taxes on them? That's a bit of a backhanded gift.

The car company donated them. There was a story in USA Today about a week after the show aired that talked about how the audience got stuck having to pay all the taxes and fees that came with getting it. Considering different people's economic backgrounds, I think it was kind of ****ty. :o

I would say, "hella ****ty" :distress: You'd think they/she could spring for the taxes. I imagine in most cases they are what you and i would think of as "quite substantial".

Hell yes, they were expensive cars! And just imagine if some people lived in states that charge excise taxes. I wouldn't be a happy camper if I got one of those excise bills in the mail, I'd fax it right over to Okra.

IMO, she does a disservice to her mostly female audience by giving the impression that if they all exercised they'd be able to look like that.

You are such a person who can never be pleased

She gave those people a $28,000 car. Yes they had to pay the tax as do ALL people who receive a gift on a show - though sadly few claim it. If they could not pay the tax or get a loan for it (which would be pennies on the dollar compared a loan on the purchaser price) AND if they could not afford that or could not get a loan, they could still sell the car, pay the gift tax, and still have well over $20,000 left to buy a cheaper car. That sounds like a gift to me, esp. if these people had no money and needed a car.

You are really something sometimes

That is not really a solution - if Oprah had paid the tax, their would be a gift tax on that money spent as well. Then if she paid that gift tax, there would be a tax on that as well. She did a good thing for these people - so quit your senseless bitching  (levity :xoxo: )

Plus, these people were always free to refuse the gift of a new car or something like $20,000 if they had to sell it.
