Hate Football? How about Puppy Bowl instead?
Animal Planet is doing the CUTEST, most hilarious show to counter the "other" Bowl game today ... PUPPY BOWL!!! I stumbled across it about an hour ago, and I haven't stopped laughing.
http://animal.discovery.com/converge...puppybowl.html It's a gridiron set overrun with puppies playing their own form of games, with strategically located cameras so you can see ALL the action. They even have a camera underneath the water bowl so you can see the slurping! And, when a puppy commits a "foul", a ref runs out to the appropriate yardline, announces the penalty, and cleans it up.   It's replaying all night, so you don't have to worry about seeing even ONE penis-related commercial. They also give all kinds of information on adoption, and you can vote for the MVP (Most Valuable Puppy!). Enjoy! |
hehe......I wanna see the bunny bowl.
Too cute... A golden retriever puppy just entered the arena.....The rules seem a bit confusing.... :) |
I've had this on and it's so adorable.
|
OH!!!! I wish I had animal planet...
I boycott the Super Bowl every year - because well, I HATE football with an unhealthy passion and I hate all the hype this stupid game gets...:D Anyway - my tv stays off during Super Bowl - except this year I did pop in a couple of DVDs....:) |

Everytime he tries to go back up through the doggie door, he slides back down  Soooo cute

They're currently airing an erection pill on Fox.

If you don't have cable, you can see a preview at the link I posted. Or, I noticed they're selling DVDs for $9.99.
It's amazing how hynotic a pack of rowdy puppies can be! My fave was the Jack Russell pup. I thought the Retriever pup was cute, too, but the camera seemed to linger on him longer than the others for that "Ohhhhhh! Awwwww!" effect. I just think they're trying to influence the MVP vote. Call the FCC!!! How can they let rigged puppy contests on the air??? :D I, too, would like to see a Kitten Bowl. However, I'm afraid it would be more like "Kitten Bloodbath" tho. But the slo-mo instant replays of claw-swipes and full-fang hissing would be much more interesting. |

Well I'm a football fan, but mainly look forward to the super bowl commercials, which SUCKED this year. This is the first year I wasn't laughing at nearly every freaking commercial. I thought the airplane beer commercial was hilarious and so was all the NFL players singing tommorow cause they missed the super bowl. And I loved the hot girl in congress thing. But that's THREE good commercials out of HOW many. But this was the first year I was actually anticipating the halftime show as well (last year I was getting food when the FAMOUS MALFUNCTION occured) but i was actually looking forward to PM. Plus I won 100 bucks on a pool and the Patriots won making me happy. Sorry to rain on your anti- football thread

Hate to ask...

That was the BEST halftime show that I have seen in years...Alot more talent than some "fluff talent" such as Ass-lee Simply-tarded or the like when they warble their no talent songs at a crowd who would rather play "pin the tail on the donkey" in a minefield then applaud for these "never was's" that the corporates think most enjoy. |

The Puppy Bowl was the best thing on TV since Milton Berle. And, for those "in the know", you could've watched the Puppy Bowl without missing a minute of the game. The first showing was 3 hrs before game time. They showed it four times in a row (noon pacific time all the way til midnight).
It better be an annual event!!! A pox on those who diss Sir Paul's halftime show. Even my beautiful wife (a devout post-Beatles McCartney hater) thought it was "cool". |

YEAH PATS, WOO HOOOOOO!!! I gotta check out this puppy bowl stuff. I love animals so much and it sounds so cute! |

And, the Eagles & Fleetwood Mac don't? Actually, who DOESN'T charge a fortune for their concert tickets?? |
I would pay any amount of money to see Macca (if I had any amount of money :p )
Seriously - concert tickets are crazy expensive anyway.... Sadly my hatred for football outweighed my love of Paul :( I boycott the Super Bowl every year -all of it - so I didn't compromise - not even for Macca....I was actually very saddened that he played the Super Bowl to begin with... |
Hmmm...let's compare...
Quote:
Fleetwood Mac-July 1,2003-Oklahoma City, OK-The Ford Center (1 ticket at $125.00 15 rows from the stage, the ticket overall was close to $140 after ticket fees.) I think I know who may have been charging too much for tickets  (Just think Sir Paul is doing another US tour this fall  ) |

Edit: I thought his tickets were $250 as opposed to FMs $125 (in this area). Seems like that might not be right. I dunno. |

And the reason for my football hatred is dumb - and I know that - and I know the root of my football hatred....yet it just doesn't change...perhaps one day I will be able to separate football in my mind from what I currently associate it with....but for now - I can't stand it....I even have a standard that is - I won't date a football obsessed guy  |
