How do you guys make those icons? Especially with the ones that move and everything. What kind of programs and stuff do you use?

You're welcome, it's fabulous, as are all of your icons. You should check your library to see if they have the entire photo book, it has all the photos from that session and a DVD from a session they did a couple of years ago.

Awr. Thanks. :) Yeah, I actually have the book... I scanned all of the pictures I used from the Mick Rock sessions from it before my scanner decided to crap out on me. But it's a fabulous book.

And the Bowie photo was an added bonus, too. I lurve that picture.

I think my favorite photos are the ones of her and Chris in their apartment. No makeup, no lighting, etc, and you can see how truly beautiful she is. And that troll photo is priceless.

Do you have "Blondie: From Punk To Present"? That's another good one, but it's one huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge book. Weighs as much as my right leg.

Here is another Lindsey one. I have a hard time fitting his last name in the icons. It's tough having a ten letter last name.

Please tell me than wasn't meant to be rhetorical. Absolutely you should. If it's Lindsey, there will be ledgies wanting to have a look. Mind if I snag a few and credit? You should try doing an LJ header a la Lindsey. I think it would turn out rather beautiful. What program are you using?

Have you made (or if you get bored enough to take a request, would you consider making) some Lindsey wallpapers?

Wow look, one with more than just Lindsey! These ones are going back a bit, before I knew about and became obsessed with the overlay function. The last one was my first icon, I was horny. Again the picture is Tiff's. There was my 'Neck Veins' one that I know Greg liked but it was only my second icon and I cheated. The design was mine but I was merely trying out the program and stole the base and brush so I'm not sure if I can post it as mine. You'll notice it looks awfully similar to parts of the graphics at lindseybuckingham.com

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../Lindsey65.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../Lindsey62.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../Lindsey86.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...rs/Lindsey.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../Lindsey40.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../Lindsey88.jpg

And just for the sake of sadism (yes I'm a hypocrite), a severly manipulated Lindsey.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../Lindsey47.jpg

Oh Amber you charm me. I'll give Stevie a whirl then.

I use psp8 and by all means, take any. I wanted to make a header but I just paid for mine the other day and can't figure out S2 so I thought it would be a wasted effort. Of course I could just make one to plug in on the chance that I figure it out, or I could just settle for the two minute job I have up at the moment. A wallpaper? Sheesh, pressure's on now. See it's much easier when you only have yourself to please and also when the image is so tiny you can't see the imperfections. I might have a go at that after I give this LJ thing another shot.
Hey, when you have talent, you can't shirk the pressure!
um, you can call me dumb (behind my back, please, I don't want you to hurt my little feelings!)
but what is psp8 and S2? You don't have to do a long explanation, i was mainly looking for the actual name without acronyms...
seriously, I think the ones you've done are really good. Not to disparage the great ones others have done, these are really just to my taste.

kay, just wondering what they were. ok, photoshop. i'll start with that.
ok, i'm off to the gay bar. I've decided to do "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" this time. not that you should care...
again, excellent work.

Speaking of which, a semi-related question for the graphics pros on the board: if you have used both Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro, which would you say is better in terms of ease of use? I have Photoshop 7.0 right now and I can do some things in it, but I still find many elements of the program a bit confusing. Would I do better to sit down at length with a bunch of PS tutorials, or to get PSP?

- Holy crap, not just an emoticon, two of them!
Nice, thank you for the clarification.(Tiff)
Also, I believe you've used up your emoticon allowance for the month...

Those are all really cool. I wish I knew how to make them :(
But I do love the one I have now!
