Christine McVie Song of the Moment

Since we were posting our Fleetwood Mac Song of the Moment on the Rumours Thread, I thought it would be fun if we put up the Christine song that we were into at the moment too.

I'll start us off:

"Friend" (Acoustic Version)

Anything is Possible. This needs more lyrics, though.

"I'm On My Way" (from the Legendary Christine Perfect album)

Many, many thanks to Over My Head, because I may not have ever heard those songs otherwise. I just found them on the site and I'm so psyched!

Hillary

"Wish You Were Here."

OMG me too!!! For 2 weeks now. Reminds me of Etta James or Billie style a little bit.

and another jam session at the end (even harder than 1st one.

this could have easily been a seven minute song

"Friend" and "Northern Star" right now... :wavey:

Always: Heart of Stone

Northern Star is fantastic!

Come a Little Bit Closer

:wavey:

Over My Head. I had that turned up pretty loud in the car the other day... The rhythm section (which Chris is included in!) is just unbeatable. Every note.... perfection. The wave of it gently but forcefully propelled us to gymnastics. :p

-Lis

I can never listen to Songbird live from The Dance enough. Solo wise I really love Northern Star and Calumny.

~Kim

That is my favourite version of Songbird!

I don't really have any right now. But I was playing the crap out of ITM for a LONG TIME! So anything from that cd with SPECIAL mention to "Friend", "Calumny", "So Sincere" and "Forgiveness".

Hold Me LIVE and I'm the One.

Solo, acoustic "Friend". With Fleetwood Mac, "Love Shines" & "Heart Of Stone". I've been playing the Chain box set lately.

I forgot...

Over and Over (Live 1980)

Song of the moment

Long ago before the moon was young...........

I think I'm obsessed!

Gail

'Isn't It Midnight'

I sing that at least once a day!

i'm listening to the demo version

Studio Version of Everywhere

oh iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii (that's an octave)

There are so many! "Oh Daddy" is the song of the moment. Though I, too, find myself singing the first verse from "Friend" throughout the day. The lyric is perfectly matched to the key and melody.

Friend and Calumny at the moment - I'm totally loving ITM at the moment. Didn't think I was going to like it more than her 1984 album, but I totally do!

Love Gem

"Got a Hold on Me" Studio Version

Now and Always: As Long As You Follow

There's just something about that song that I can't get enough of.

I lover OVer & Over live. So pretty. :)

I haven't heard the acoustic version of "Friend" yet! Where'd you guys manage to get ahold of that one! ;)

You can download it here. Click on the audio download page. Chris did an interview on World Cafe Radio. They played acoustic "Friend" during the show. You can download "Friend" & the entire interview if you like.

Brwn-eyes0511, I LOVE your Mystery To Me picture of Christine as your avatar. :)

Warm Ways ;)

Thanks so much! I have always loved that photo of the early 70's lineup...especially of Christine! She looks so awsome!

I'm new here if you couldn't tell...I'm glad I found out about this place ;-)

Welcome aboard! :wavey:

Welcome to our little soiree. :) Glad you could join us. :wavey:

My song of the moment by Christine... hmmm... has to be "Get Like You Used To Be". Great blues song, Fleetwood Mac could have played it a little more than they did. :)

"You Are" and "I'd Rather Go Blind." :D

I still like "Prove Your Love" quite a bit.

Good ol' Chris McVie!

Welcome! :)
