Lindsey Buckingham Song of the Moment

Since we were posting our Fleetwood Mac Song of the Moment on the Rumours Thread, I thought it would be fun if we put up the Lindsey song that we were into at the moment too.

I'll start us off:

"Countdown" :thumbsup:

amber 12-12-2004 08:00 PM

solo, then, you mean?

madformac 12-12-2004 08:04 PM

Band right at this moment "Murrow Turning Over In His Grave"

Solo right at this moment "Murrow Turning Over In His Grave"... Well, it's the same thing isn't it??

Also I'm into IKINW, I'm So Afraid (Earls Court 29/11/03), Doing What I Can and Shadow Of The West

I guess it can be either, as long as it is Lindsey. :p

Hmm, don't really have one on heavy rotation right now, but i guess...IKINW or The Ledge...

madformac 12-12-2004 08:15 PM

If I'm talking about regular all time fav LB songs then the list goes like this :

Play In The Rain (parts I & II)
I'm So Afraid (The Dance)
I Know I'm Not Wrong
Go Insane (The Dance)
Come
Soul Drifter
Wrong
Don't Look Down
Say Goodbye
Slow Dancing (12" remix)
Murrow Turning Over In His Grave
Doing What I Can
Big Love (original)
Street Of Dreams
Go Your Own Way
Johnny Stew
Save Me A Place

All greatness

ontheEdgeof17 12-12-2004 08:18 PM

Johnny Stew is my Liddy song of the moment.

I'm loving Law and Order everytime I pop it in my CD player. I used to majorly hate it....now, it's a classic!

That brings back soooooo many great memories!! I need to go get that CD and put that version on my playlist. It's wierd, I was front row for all the England shows, except that night...Seteca and I were in the 25th or something row and when I heard ISA...I was crying! I didn't cry at the other shows...even though I was right up there watching him. That's the power of the song.

Solo LB song of the moment...well, lately, it's been Go Insane...live versions on my computer...NYC or Washington DC.

BTW, it IS the same thing. ;)

That night's version was special for two reasons, firstly his playing was on fire and he really deviated from the norm on the solo that particular night which I could see and hear (even though Tuigirl and I were a whole two rows in front of you!!! )

Secondly he trashed the Turner on that one when he threw it across the stage, the facts of which have become legend now.. Rick Turner thinks LB should go back to smoking grass to calm him down and reduce the guitar repairs!!

OMG! Me too. Lately like as of a few weeks ago. I use to really not care for it but all of a sudden I think I really like it.

Don't ya just kick yourself when you rediscover a song? All that time wasted not thinking twice about it.

My love for OOTC overshadowed L&O. OOTC was in the car one day and it was too rainy to go get it. I needed a Lindsey fix and decided L&O over GI. Best decision I ever made.

Holiday Road!

Hawkeye 12-12-2004 10:55 PM

Bwana and Satisfied Mind are actually my Lindsey songs of the moment

mondaymornin1 12-13-2004 12:02 PM

Ok, solo only, would have to be Trouble (live).

Also, Holiday Road.

And Soul Drifter.

And Loving Cup.

And.....well, I'll stop. :p

ThePenguin 12-13-2004 12:13 PM

Twist of Fate. *LOVE* that song. Wish he'd put that on SYW instead of Murrow or even Come.

Mary Lee Jones

MARY LEE JONES WHWHWHWHWHWHWHWHWHWAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

GUITAR SOLO....................................................

nodmod 12-13-2004 03:38 PM

My iPod was on rotation this evening whilst on the way home from work and the studio version of Big Love came on, this was rocking at full volume. It's been far to long since I rocked out to this.

I love that song too!!!!! One of my absolute favorites. I was on a "Twist of Fate" kick for a long time. I think he would put it out on something.

Geez..all I can say is thank goodness, someone taped that show (and I have a copy) coz the whole show passed in a blur (no, I wasn't drunk or anything, it just went so quickly!!) :laugh:LB needs to slow down inbetween songs, so we can catch our breath!!!

Thank you. :) I am still learning how to use Photoshop so that I can make a banner. We had a thread on here about Lindsey photos that we took at concerts. We posted a bunch of them. Maybe it's time to start another LB photo thread. ;)

At the moment

Street of Dreams. Tango is another one I can't get enough of. I'm So Afraid from Live in Boston actually makes me twitch. I think I need help.

Vianna 12-14-2004 11:08 AM

Tango in the Night.

"Listen to the wind on the water..." gives me chills!

"Down on the Rodeo" Demo :)

golddustwoman77 01-15-2005 02:52 PM

"Street of Dreams" I just love this song, but it is just soooo sad. :(

GateandGarden 01-15-2005 05:42 PM

"This Nearly Was Mine"
"Say Goodbye" (demo)
"Book of Miracles"
"Stephanie"

ontheEdgeof17 01-15-2005 05:55 PM

Oddly enough, I'm on an Empire State kick. Must be a full moon or something?

Miss Vicky 01-15-2005 06:23 PM

Right now I'm completely in love with "Someone's Got to Change Your Mind."
Everytime I listen to it I have to crank up the volume and sing along.

But I'm also in love with the live versions of Peacekeeper and Come.
Keeping my fingers crossed that he puts out a solo album this year. What I wouldn't give to see him in concert. (Saw FM three times on the SYW tour, fantastic show but I'm not really a Stevie fan. I just went to see Lindsey)

Lindsey Jr. 01-27-2005 02:47 PM

song of the moment

What makes you think you're the one

mondaymornin1 01-27-2005 05:05 PM

Now I'm on a IKINW kick, but it's the instrumental version--from the remastered Tusk cd, song 5 on the 2nd cd. Can't remember what they "named" it...Lindsey's song, version ..?

Lindsey Jr. 02-02-2005 02:58 PM

Right now, never going back again & say goodbye

shackin'up 02-02-2005 07:04 PM

Given Thing, both versions. I even think I prefer the short, most demo-like one.

Are there other Given Thing-lovers out there?
