I met Leslie Jordan
I was at a gala tonight and met Leslie Jordan - he is about 4'10" and EXACTLY like the characters he plays, which include Karen's tiny nemesis "Beverley Leslie" on Will and Grace (I smell Gin and regret - why it must be Karen Walker) - the one who played pool with Karen in a bet to get Rosario, etc.
He also played Brother Boy in Sordid Lives. I took a picture with him sitting on my knee - again, I am 6'4"  My life somtimes . . . http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet.../personid-2118 |
Cool!
He is adorable!! OMG, 4'10"...I am 5'1"!! He's widdle. I like him and that accent is killer.

I always pictured Deb and you both as being tall. Hmmm.... I'm only 5'2" and I'm used to being shorter than everyone. |

I forgot (AND HOW COULD I  ) that Celia Costas - Producer of Angels in America (http://www.hbo.com/films/angelsiname...st/costas.html ) - was at this soiree as well - she received an award for the show. She was an INCREDIBLE woman. I got to talk to her for about five minutes. I was amazed at her wit, intelligence and willingness to talk about her work in a polite way. She was also very funny. I asked her waht Streep was like and she responded she was a doll, etc. I asked her if Streep liked doing the three characters and she said yes. I then said Streep looked like Bea Aurther (Streep - http://www.hbo.com/films/angelsiname...st/streep.html - Bea - http://www.beatricearthur.com/ ) and she laughed. What an amazing and great woman I am proud to have met!!!!!!!!

Hmm...

I was projected to be 5'6" at age two. So much for scientific prediction. Although if I would have been taller, I'd probably have much more trouble...I have scoliosis. |
Quote:
I remember being tested in middle school for scoliosis...but have never actually known what it is... And yeah - I'm not so swift either - I went to the symphony a couple of weeks ago - and was wearing some high heeled boots - with a lovely dress...well the bathroom was down a flight of stairs - so I happily went downstairs - but one boot got caught on the stair carpet...i totally fell down the stairs...it was really embarassing.. |

My mom is only 5'1", so I know I take after her. Scoliosis is the curvature of the spine....mine has a slight "S" shape. In more severe cases, you have to wear a back brace or have surgery. Since mine was mild, and because I'm short and had stopped growing by the time I was diagnosed, I really don't have to do anything. |
