Seasons change. The weather changes. The Earth changes. People change. Stevie's dress does not change. She looks good, though.

Wow, she looks amazing. Even better than I remember her from September. :)

No she doesn't, she looks much better then she has in the past 2 years. And I don't get starry-eyed at every new appearence, I said she looked horrible at that private concert before the start of the 04 tour.

Come on David, I know you have already saved the images (like all of us) to create with them a staggering banner  ;)

The top is different. You have ot give the woman credit for changing all those shawls and accessories on the new tour. There were at least 15 new things she added to the wardrobe so I think you are being alittle harsh on that.

She does sound and look wonderful. I am definitly going to buy this.

Sesly, i wish she'd bust out that pantsuit look from Destiny rules. it's so much more slimming. I just want to hold her down and .... dress her!!!

Oh, c'mon. I'm not giving anyone credit for throwing a different colored piece of fabric over their shoulders every now and then. After years of wearing that rank mob widow dress, it's going to take more to impress me. A pantsuit would make a difference. ;)

Ah, then we agree. Now we can both git her, hold her down, and....dress her!

only barely, cause i don't know who Stephen Sprouse is. Would he hold her down and dress her? oh, by the way, i was looking at the south beach diet book in whole foods yesterday. I noticed the meals are very specific, and there's no alternatives mentioned in the phase one meals. Did you eat exactly those meals? Luckily, online, i noticed veg. alternatives cause i was thinking "i don't want to necessarily have to eat all that cheese"

He's Debbie's designer.

The meals in that book are only suggestions to give you an idea of what foods to eat. You can make up your own meals, just stay on the list of foods you can have. You can also pretty much eat as much as you want of the foods on the list.

She already does most of the time. I think I once pointed out that she looked like a sausage that had spilled out of it's wrapper, yet was actively trying to get back in. Miss Nicks wouldn't know how to wear clothes and dress properly if her life depended on it. She tries to create the appearance that she's slender by wearing lots of black, yet she wears it quite improperly by wearing many layers and topping it all off with shoulderpads (of all things). The hair doesn't help most of the time, either.

Edited To Add: She was on the right track at the last Henley benefit. Very simple and elegant, yet still trademark Stevie. The lily also brightened her up and drew more attention to her face. She should go for that look more often, she looked radiant.

Yeah, i don't remember liking any of Debbie's clothes, ever. in fact, i remember activily disliking some. But i haven't really seen her clothes lately.

I'm not saying that Stevie's wardrobe couldn't use to be freshened up... but Debbie always looks like an overweight former-sexpot secretary trying to fit into dresses too short and too tight in a failed attempt to impress the new boss. IMO.

Stevie at least wears corsets to thin her waist, before she puts on something smaller. ;)

I think Stevie... for the most part... dresses in a way that's flattering to her figure, while maintaning the "Stevie Nicks Style."
But she definitely doesn't help herself when she adds the extra layers of fabric (like what she wore during "Sara" on the last leg of the tour).

But I've always felt that she's dressed in a more flattering way than other no-longer-skinny female rock-stars.

Always? You must be talking about someone other than Debbie Harry.

You must not have seen Debbie recently. She's a walking advertisement for weight loss after menopause.

I think my favorite outfits were the ones she wore on Live By Request and the Live video from '99. I'd love to see Stevie wear Debbie's Live By Request outfit.

Has she thinned down since the VH1 Divas thing and the other television appearances around that time? Because she still looked pretty thick to me.

Don't get me wrong, I don't care if she's not thin... it doesn't matter to me what someone weighs. But I am at a loss to see how Debbie's style is somehow considered flattering, in comparison to Stevie's style.

I've not seen her in any outfit since the early '90s, that I thought looked flattering on her figure.

Enchanted_Stevi 11-21-2004 04:30 PM

BUT about her dresses....on the Fleetwood Mac All Access...Stevie said she doesn't want to worry about what she's wearing and if she wears this dress will it go w/ this shawl or top or somethin...and when she gets older she deosn't want to worry about what she wears.....I do think she could change up her outfits a few more times during a show but hey that's Stevie...lol

Nah, they both look good depending on what they're wearing and how they carry themselves. ;) Stevie needs to stop layering and wearing pads, Debbie needs to forget about the spandex once and for all.

As for the snippet - I thought I wasn't going to like it, but it's really good. Stevie sounds great, and I like the arrangement of the song.

Ouch!
I've certainly never thought she was ugly or anything... I've just never found her particularly appealing, looks-wise. Especially in recent years, when I've thought that she's looked like the faded sex-pot secretary I mentioned earlier.

I know others think she's drop-dead gorgeous, but I've always found her looks to be rather non-descript.

really? nondescript? which part? The insane prominent cheekbones, the big ice blue eyes, or the amazingly full and lush mouth?

Serrart 11-21-2004 05:22 PM

If Stevie, one was ever in search of a new style , I'd like to discretly suggest Armani or Ferrè, I think she might like them. :)

I think she ought to just surrender and have everything done by Richard Tyler and Anna Sui.

Sometimes individually pleasing facial features can add up to nothing.
At least for me.

Her face, while pretty, just seems to lack any significant character. I could be the ONLY person in the world who feels that way though.
