The Fleetwood Mac biography - 2004
I know I asked this years ago. There may be new candidates now for the main roles.
Suppose they will do a TV show about the Fleetwood Mac story. What actors would you choose for the main members? My suggestions: Peter - Geoffrey Rush (though a bit old for the early years) Christine - Helen Hunt Lindsey - Ryan Phillip (he got to dye his hair black) |
Christine: Helen Mirren
Mick: Vince Vaughn John: That hobbit that's on Lost Lindsey: I've no idea...Jake Weber just because I like him Stevie: Sally Struthers |
Mick -- Raymond Walburn
John -- Franklin Pangborn Stevie -- Una Merkel Lindsey -- Grady Sutton Christine -- Ethel Griffies Bob Welch -- Ernest Thesiger |

ok.. John: Mick: Christine: Cate Blanchett would be perfect! Lindsey: Luke Wilson ? Stevie: Sara Rue ...j/k, um.. Winona Ryder uh, yeah that's all I can think of now. |

You're not well. That's why I like you. |
I still say Maggie Smith should play Mick.

"Do your part and help to save these poor children of Africa. Every night they go to bed without any food or decent clothing. But, with your help and monetary contributions, I can not only introduce them to the wonders of the Atkins diet, but I can wrap them up in lush chiffon robes to protect their delicate skin from the harsh weather they must endure on an almost daily basis. Send your donation now, only eighty-five cents a day, and you will get your free welcome kit consisting of a letter from the child you sponsor, a picture of that child to cherish forever, and a discount coupon for the Fleetwood Mac Fan Club. You may have lived a chiffon-deprived childhood, but don't let it happen to these poor children." The preceding advertisment has been brought to you by FanFire. fabamundo call!!! ~ blessed be~ |
Excellent casting chilliD! The only one I would disagree with is Linda Blair - she's too old now.
I'd still go with Winona ala the Edward Scissorhands look. http://i.imdb.com/mptv1.gif |

I would be delighted if Winona played her  |

Winona could NEVER pull that off. NEVAH!!! she has slumpy shoulders, a soft mouth, a small voice, and apologetic eyes! and she steals things even though she's rich. She's a coward. K- I have to go sing Edge of Seventeen just to prove i'm right...  |

ChiliD..what a great selection you have..but MFM..yours is even more inspirational ( insert laughing face here.... the emotions aren't working for me today)
However, I do think Colin Firth would make a wonderful older Linds and Reece Witherspoon, a younger Stevie..can anyone do pics for me..Chili? BTW...who's Harry Shearer? |

Please not in my lifetime. |

If the Beach Boys can have a movie made about them, then why not FM? Although the Beach Boys one made me cringe at times... but still I think it would be pretty neat to have an FM one. But timeline and details are crucial. I was watching that new 'Unbroken Chain' DVD and two things annoyed the crap out of me--saying that Danny Kirwan left before Jeremy Spencer, and then Bob Brunning saying that FM really only wanted Stevie, and that Lindsey was part of the package deal. The 'incorrect-ness' of those two points drove me up the wall!!! Seeing a movie full of inaccuracies would give me a stroke. -Lis |

Harry Shearer...he does about 5 of the Simpsons characters' voices, he was one of the "extras" on the original SNL cast, he played bass player Derek Smalls in Spinal Tap, he is a regular in the "big three" Christopher Guest's movies (Waiting For Guffman, Best In Show, The Mighty Wind)...he has a resume' a mile long. Here's his official website: Official Harry Shearer site |

Mick: I couldn't agree more - John Cleese-he's got the height, the wit, and the accent!
John: Harry Shearer - another great choice, Chili! Christine: Teri Garr - Cate Blanchett's a good choice too. Younger Stevie: That actress who plays Samantha on ER or the actress who plays Brittney on the Young and the Restless (and she can sing). 80's Stevie and with the right hair and make-up, Stevie today: Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki on the Young and the Restless) Klonopin years Stevie: Sally Struthers! Lindsey: Aidan Quinn, or Christian from Nip and Tuck! |
Good luck getting Cat Stevens to play Peter Green! How hilarious!
I have always thought Linda Blair and Stevie resembled each other! Wow, Cate Blanchette looks EXACTLY like Christine in that picture. There'd have to be several casts of characters to play throughout the years: early, middle, and late. This band has been around a while! Quote:

I love Linda Cardellini. I know a lot of her family and I've met her a couple of times. She's really sweet.
However, I think that Y&R actress would be better to play Stevie. Susie |
