Way to go Christine!

Great news!

I'm hoping this will boost her album sells a little. She deserves a few more bucks!

Much more than the bucks, the encouragement from us fans, who dearly love her, to do more albums in the future. :xoxo:

Wooot! Great! 'Friend' is a good song. It deserves it.

Aisling 11-04-2004 03:44 PM

ahhh, it couldn't have happened to a better song.

I was thinking the same thing. Chris doesn't need the money. I hope she got a bunch of questions in that Q & A about making another album, just to plant a seed in her mind.

This single has actually done pretty well, certainly better than I ever thought it would. Unfortunately, it's very hard for older artists to get any radio play at all. And, Christine has never had an established solo career. Most people know her Fleetwood Mac songs but don't know her.

On the Legacy website there's a link to a list of radio stations that you can contact to request a song. Here's a list of New York radio stations. I don't live in New York so I have no idea if any of these stations are playing "Friend".

They haven't played it on the public radio classical station here in Los Angeles!

Those cloistered bastards seem to prefer Vivaldi.

No. Not on classic rock, or 'greatest hits from the 70's, 80's,90's, and today"

tynan88 11-05-2004 11:56 PM

I heard on our local government run radio station here :)

Tynan

I haven't listened to the radio for years. However, I did hear "Friend" on a local Philly radio station by accident. About a week or two before ITM was released, I went to my local township building to pay my property taxes. When I was finished paying my taxes & going to the parking lot to get in my car, I heard "Friend" playing very loudly. The car that was parked next to my car had the radio on & there was "Friend". It almost made me feel better about paying my taxes.

I've been hearing 'Friend' on a streaming MP3 station called the Legatcafe. Cool station--great tunes.
go to Legatocafe.net

You have no idea. And I was with a friend that didn't think her album would be played anywhere.

Oh Lord no. I don't think my heart could take it! She's beyond royalty, IMO. I'd probably be speechless. Words can't begin to express to you how much it would mean to me.

Nah, you wouldn't! You'd pop a Xanax & chase it with a swig of JB, & then amble over to Ms. McVie & break the ice. Twenty minutes later, you two would still be at it, laughing & reminiscing, discussing the ins & outs of the instrumentation on her songs.

jbrownsjr 11-16-2004 12:55 AM

Something tells me someone has been hittin the JB

I wouldn't be intimidated by any of the others, just Chris.
And yeah, I'd HAVE to give it my best shot, scared or not.
I've admired her, like no other, the majority of my life. :xoxo:
