Fav FM album

yes, I know..simple question, but in light of the fact that the Ledge has a whole new bunch of Ledgies, plus, theyv'e just finished touring (and some of us have seen them for the first time) and also, coz of the reissues..I thought a quick count of who loves what, would be interesting. Perhaps a fellow Ledgie could throw in a poll (don't know how to myself) and we can all vote.
Add one up to Tusk for me, it's my fav of them all simply because it dared to be different :]

tynan88 10-31-2004 05:30 AM

Right now I am listening to Mirage a lot, mainly because I just got it, but I think overall my favourite album is SYW just because it got me hooked.

Tusk. Their masterpiece.

macfan 57 10-31-2004 07:16 AM

Mystery To Me is my favorite. This album is the "Rumours" of the Bob Welch era. It's pretty much a perfect album from beginning to end.

Rumours is a strong second, followed by Tusk, the White Album, Heroes Are Hard To Find & Bare Trees.

Kelly 10-31-2004 07:25 AM

ummm

Tusk. No question about it for me.
I love everything about that album.
Say You Will comes in second..I just really like the lyrics on their latest album. If two or three of Lindsey's GoS songs would have found their way onto SYW..it might just be my favorite album.

DownOnRodeo 10-31-2004 07:40 AM

I can't go past Say You Will. It's a bit more fresh and 'alive' than the older ones to my ears.

eclipse 10-31-2004 07:47 AM

You know, it is rather hard to not love the white fleetwood mac-Just when stevie and lindsey join...a lot of energy and freshness to that one for me...and then after they have been with the band for awhile TUSK...I have been listening to this band for 30 years through all the different "players",so it is very difficult to pick one. Sort of like, an amazing bunch of flowers...that when placed all together in a vase are beautiful and magical looking....it's hard to just pick one daisy out...Understand what I mean??

GypsySorcerer 10-31-2004 09:32 AM

Probably Tusk. I tend to think of the albums in terms of individual's best efforts. So for Stevie it's Tusk, Lindsey it's SYW (Rumours second) and Christine for Tango.

ThePenguin 10-31-2004 09:40 AM

I'm going w/ Mystery to Me, then Tusk....and maybe Kiln House 3rd. argh it's so hard to choose, i also love Rumours and the white album!

markolas 10-31-2004 10:26 AM

I'd have to say Tusk. Although, I just bought the Rumours reissue and have been listening to that, mostly. It really is a brilliant album. So, it's probably a tie between Tusk and Rumours right now.

Exactly!

But if I have to choose one, it's Tusk.

My fav FM album is Rumours, then Behind the Mask.

Don't make me pick one! I want to say Tusk AND Mystery to Me!

Lala 10-31-2004 11:52 AM

It's so difficult to pick now that I actually have a bunch of them. They're all good and very different from each other.

gldstwmn 10-31-2004 12:05 PM

Tusk. I also love Behind The Mask.

rezamatic 10-31-2004 12:10 PM

It took me three years to come to this conclusion, but "Tusk" is my favorite. At first I only enjoyed about half of it, but slowly over the years every song began to grow on me (equally from all singers). Once the reissue came out and I finally got into all the songs I hadn't before, that cemented it for me.

Originally it was "The Dance" because that is what got me into the whole band and I thought everything sounded absolutely perfect from start to finish. But now I listen to it and just find it rather tame compared to other versions now that I'm more Mac-scholared.

ontheEdgeof17 10-31-2004 12:24 PM

Tusk....then Say You Will :woohoo:

Yeah. I agree. For me, the songs on The Dance just doesn't do it for me anymore....especially The Chain and GYOW. Those two were so much better on this past tour.

kenzo 10-31-2004 12:41 PM

Tusk. The record that confirmed their stature as artists, not just rock stars.

Stephanie 10-31-2004 01:00 PM

Tough one, but I'd have to say Say You Will and the rumours reissues--particularly the bonus tracks. That version of Think About It is just great.

Jen77 10-31-2004 01:02 PM

Say You Will...then Tusk :)

Oh, I still listen to The Dance, if only for Silver Springs and Landslide. Rhiannon occasionally, too.

amber 10-31-2004 01:27 PM

Well, probably RumoursTusk.
I'll tell you one that i just got, and except for a few songs, is really irritating to me, is Mirage.
Say you will is PFG, though
Amber

mylittledemon 10-31-2004 01:55 PM

Mine would be THE DANCE

diamondsnake 10-31-2004 01:58 PM

Say You Will!!! Nothing else really comes close. I love their new sound.

Hawkeye 10-31-2004 02:16 PM

Tusk is my favorite, but ti coul dvery easily be a 6 way tie between Tusk, Rumours, Say You Will, Fleetwood Mac, and Mystery to Me and HAHTF.

Cristian 10-31-2004 02:19 PM

Am I the only one who's going to say Rumours?

It's that one, and then Mystery To Me. :)

Ah, i said RumoursTusk. does that count?

shackin'up 10-31-2004 05:58 PM

......tusk

DeeGeMe 10-31-2004 06:07 PM

Tusk. Without question. I listen to it far more than I do any other FM album. Rumours would be my second runner up.

wondergirl9847 10-31-2004 07:06 PM

Rumours

Greatest album made by anyone, IMO. Flawless, catchy, perfection.

It's very difficult to choose between Rumours, Tusk and Tango, as I adore them all sooooooo much, but Rumours would be my #1 choice with a gun to my head.

estranged4life 10-31-2004 09:28 PM

Easy...

that would be Tusk

Brian j.

Serrart 10-31-2004 09:29 PM

Say You Will: so edgy, rich, actual, seductive, even in its contradictions that reflect the time we're living, IMO.Tusk as a close second.

Romy

golden braid 10-31-2004 09:48 PM

This is tough but I would have to go with Rumours followed closely by Tusk.

Vianna 11-01-2004 09:33 AM

Favorite album

Tusk, no contest=:-)

In second place: Mirage and TITN

A lot of people mention Mystery to Me as an album they really like. I don't have this one. What's on it?

Mystery To Me was released in 1973. It's pretty much a Bob Welch/Christine McVie collaboration. It starts with "Emerald Eyes" & ends with "Why". I think it's a perfect album. It flows beautifully. There's no filler on this album anywhere. It has a sort of folk/soft rock feel to it. Also, Bob's "Hypnotized" is on the album as well. As I said before, it's the "Rumours" of the Bob Welch era.

skcin 11-01-2004 12:16 PM

1 - Tusk
2 - Rumours
3 - SYW

Heroes Are Hard To Find (this is as raw as it gets)
Tango In the Night (this is as produced as it gets)
Mirage (some gems on this one)

Tango In The Night

ha, i don't like those songs either. Although, SYW has grown on me a *bit* but only cause stevie's voice is in it, which i am in love with. Yes, that's right, i don't just *love* it, i am in love with it.
