and the Yanks did the ultimate choke...Up 3-0 and lost the series has never happened in MLB before.

The World Series starts Saturday at Boston...I still say it will be the BoSox against the Cards!

How odd would it be if we had a Red Sox/Astros matchup, with the Kerry/Bush matchup as well?

Dreammms 10-21-2004 08:36 AM

Cogratulations Boston! They played a good game. I am rooting for them to win this series!

Livia 10-21-2004 09:28 AM

Yay, Boston! Come on, Astros!!!!

GypsySorcerer 10-21-2004 09:39 AM

I'm happy for the Sox. If the Cardinals get in though, I have to root for them.

Yes, yes, congratulations Red Sox. Enjoy it while you can. ;)

But just a reminder, until the Sox win 21 more WS, they can't talk :p

Your team blew a 3 game lead, a blemish no other team has commited in baseball. The Red Sox made the most historic baseball comback. I think we can talk all we want. :p

I saw my father cry for the first time last night. It was both odd and touching. He carries all those memories.

I think it will be great either way. The Astros for Roger and the Cardinals for the World Series history. It's better than having to face the Marlins last year.

On a side note, if Boston does win, I think the city will just burn down. Our school also promised to cancel if there is a parade.

I thought about all the great players-especially the '78 team, my favorite. So here's a nod to you fellas:
Luis Tiant, Ted Williams, Dennis Eckersley, Bill Campbell, Carlton Fisk, Fred Lynn, Yaz, Jim Rice, Tony C, Wade Boggs, Bo Diaz, Ellis Burks, Don Baylor and so many more that I know I'm forgetting.
It's good to have hope. I think we're going all the way this year.

It's just crazy. I am going to Boston for the day on Saturday just to soak up the excitement. I think that we will head back before it gets too late and crazy. We tried looking for a hotel last night for Sat night and found nothing. I just heard on the radio that hotels are so booked up that the Cardinals can't even get a hotel in the city and are staying somewhere in 'the burbs'.

Why do people get so crazy? I just heard that a college student was killed that was just a bystander. I can see celebrating but don't start a riot and set fires and overturn cars.
