"Beauty and the Beast"...put it in the next setlist
Since Stevie has warmed up to bringing older less-frequently performed songs
back in the setlist, i think it's time to bring this one out of retirement. |
I would love her to bring this one back
|
If you know - tell her
Tell her now BLEHEHEHHEEEEEEHHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEHHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHE well, tell her now  BRING IT BABK STEVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Ill pass!
Sorry,
Kinda boring to me! I'd like to see something else though. LIke Bella Donna, Cry Wolf, or Blue Lamp. 'Jimmy |
I could go for Cry Wolf, but really I want one that's a little faster...or Angel or Sistahs...I think her voice could still kick the sh** outta Sistahs, which would be nice..

I'm with the Sisters crowd, and Bella Donna, Battle of the Dragon, yes! Beauty and the Beast would be okay since I've never seen it live, I don't think. I also love her demo where she tells the story of the John Cocteau film and how it affected her so much she had to write the song. Knowing what moved her brought more meaning to the song to me.

I would be totally willing to give up GDW if she'd do SOTM. Never gonna happen, but a girl can dream... I do love B&tB, but I'd take Bella Donna first. Didn't I read somewhere that Waddy wanted her to open with Bella Donna on the TISL tour? I'd give up my firstborn child to see her do Angel live on the next tour. ;) Paula |

I liked the Enchanted set list - kudos to Stevie for performing Rose Garden, Sleeping Angel and the other newbies for that tour. :D

SOTM should stay in the past. Her voice would not be able to handle it these days. I don't want a classic live song butchered.
BRING BACK THINK ABOUT IT! -Curt |

Sisters of the Moon HAS to be played, but in the next Fleetwood Mac tour. I don't want SOTM on a solo tour. I'd prefer she do solo songs on her solo tour, and Fleetwood Mac songs on a FM tour. And I'm counting Stand Back as an honorary Fleetwood Mac song, so I'd prefer she did SB with Fleetwood MAc and not on her solo tours, although that'll never happen.
The 3 songs I want to see in a Stevie set list are 1st and foremost HOW STILL MY LOVE. And then I really want Gold and Braid, Voilet and Blue, Kind Of Woman, and I'll go with you guys on Beauty and the Beast, that's be a great almost BC like song for her next solo tour. |

that's probably what made me think it in the first place. i think she tends to do a better job nowadays with the slower acoustic songs. plus, i think she could do a better job than the RAL and OSOTM versions. although i do like some of the RAL versions, i don't think it was the right tour for that song. too whiskey voiced for it. Plus, she always seemed to crack up during the first two lines. OSOTOM was too sedated. i'm really surprised at everyone's negative reaction... oh well. |
I agree that I'd like to see Stevie only do solo songs on her next tour. That would give her so much more time to devote to songs we'd otherwise never be able to see her do (Long Way to Run or Bella Donna  ).
Also, I was disappointed with Landslide during the Enchanted tour. It's not the same IMO without Lindsey. But....I'm ready for FM to retire that song from the next setlist anyway. Why not do Crystal instead, with a big smooch at the end? |

Absolutely! |
Stevie should only do "Violet and Blue" and "Sisters of The Moon" if she's prepared to "go all the way" vocally and performatively. Otherwise, don't bother. These two songs thrive on raw energy, and anything short of complete annihilation just will not do. Same goes for "Nothing Ever Changes" which I would also like to hear live someday but probably never will

Sable on Blond? blech...what a turkey that is.
I'd love to hear Long Way to Go, though. I was on the Nicks Fix looking at her solo tour set lists and realized that she only did 3 songs from TOSOTM on that tour. It's a shame she didn't do more, because some of them would've kicked ass, I think. |
Oh, yeah I forgot...
Put me with the group who'd love for her to resurrect Beauty & the Beast for her next solo tour. I still don't get how people can pick Sable on Blond (with nonsense lyrics like "Learn to be a stranger...blond on blond...in silence she says "excalibur"...wtf does that even mean?) over a gorgeous song like B&TB. |

nooooooo....she did more than that....she did Rooms on Fire, Two Kinds of Love, Whole Lotta Trouble, Alice, and Juliet. At least when i saw her she did. |

If she does ANYTHING from other side of the mirror ill go crazy. That album is sacred! totally underrated.

I love the line, "my love is a man who's not been tamed." What a beautiful and eloquent way to say you're head over heels for a bad boy!! The line, "two children, too blind to see," is brilliantly alliterative. And, I'm sorry, but I've dated this guy: "My love lives in a world of false pleasure and pain." It's too fey for some tastes, but I think "Beauty And The Beast" is a masterpiece. :) |

It's one of my favorites, too... but so is "Beauty And The Beast." I love the poignancy of "Beauty And The Beast" and the imagery of "Sable On Blond," and I think they're both exceptionally beautiful. |

Beauty and the Beast pales in comparison to Sable On Blonde, it's incredibly melodramatic and schtick-heavy; plus, the "le Bette" at the end is incredibly cloying. Sable On Blonde is like a painting, you can just see the song; one of my all-time favorites. |
