Hmmm... Weird, he's been really nice to me; answered two of my emails before ~ seems like he wanted to help me out with some things, I don't think that he would lie on the main board though. :shrug:

Whenever I see "more coming about this soon!" on a Web site, I check out, mentally & electronically. Who wants to be spoonfed fake thrills by a used car salesman? How can people tolerate the sales pitch lingo year after year? Doesn't it ever wear them down?

Besides, this klunko uses more exclamation points in his one short announcement than the airy-faery ellipses the average Stevie follower uses in her diary.
That's a better question than virtually anything that's going to be submitted, I predict.

The only person that i've had a bad vibe with is John Kinney.

Why's that? John's always been very pleasant to me. I met him in 2001 when I went to see Stevie in Vegas.

Oh, he's a doozy, too. They both have some similarities as well as differences.

Todd is a sleazoid bunco artist-cum-businessman who hates fans but is forced by circumstance to deal with them.

Kinney is an uptight moralist who hates fans but is forced by circumstance to deal with them.

Fans either really love John or really hate him, Pip. His stony arrogance either draws people in or repels them. He used to come into chats every Sunday just to field silly questions from born-again Stevie fans. That's all he did, for hours, until he broke his stony silence with a brief parting & then fled. Why he showed up to a CHAT every week is still a fascinating mystery to ponder. I always figured he was picking up pointers on how to hold a conversation.

I just don't care for him, i've sent some emails to him in the past and he ignored what I had to say basically; he would tell me something that wouldn't help with my situation ~ he just doesn't seem to want to help me out, at least The Knight was able to do some thing for me.

Well, I think that they may need to get some new people to run these boards; maybe people that actually would like to converse with the fans ~ maybe, wait no ~ A FAN should be running those boards.

Yeah, so then there would be a bond; a fan and a fan would prob work out a lot better.

You think? It's seems so obvious, i was shocked to recently learn it wasn't that way...

John Kinney has been nothing but nice to me, both in emails and in person. He strikes me as a little shy and introverted, but always pleasant.

Yes, way back in the day--around 1995-- John Kinney and us were the pretty much the only FM related sites out there.

You clearly don't know the half of it Kim. The man is a nasty piece of work who treated some good fans very badly. And all I meant was if he is being nice then I would worry. lol.

any person who runs an official band website (Mr.Todd...aka Mr.Toad) and is willing to publicly post a private conversation between a fan & hisself (I think those of us who have been here for awhile know what I am talking about) has none of my respect...So much so that after that incident I deleted my account from 'over there' and my reward was to have my ISP number banned from their website (Still effin' hilarious if ya ask me)

I concur, I've not had any bad experiences. I will send "Stevie Sightings" in when I come accross them and he always sends a thank you note back, which he doesn't have to do. I also met him in Vegas but in '98. Where does the time go? :shocked:
