Republican evil knows no boundaries...

http://www.purpleheartbandage.com/

Slimy republicans are wearing these at the convention. Newt Gingrich, when asked if he was shocked at this display said, "No, I think it's funny."

Totally evil.

dissention 08-31-2004 04:15 PM

Like I posted last night, I am not a violent person, but if I saw someone wearing one of those, I would attack them. It disgraces and belittles ever veteran who won a Purple Heart for their brave actions.

And have you heard the current count on how many times 9/11 was mentioned? 203. How many times John Kerry's name was dropped? 147.

They are some truly evil bastards. I put a sign outside my place that says "MA Republican Delegates: Move Back To Texas"

lyricbird 08-31-2004 04:15 PM

Tell me about it... I heard about those, but actually seeing them for sale on the internet... (of course, what did I expect?) It's truly degrading to all those individuals who earned purple hearts (incluing John Kerry) and it makes me sick.

My friend and I were discussing the whole thing and this is what she had to say about the "purple hearts":
The Republican party says that they wouldn't ask their delegates not to wear them because they have every right to their freedom of expression. But at Bush rallies, you have to sign an oath of support for Bush before you're even allowed in the door, and if you're wearing a pro-choice shirt, or a Kerry sticker, etc. you're banned from coming in. They're so disgusting! I hate them.

I think the whole administration is evil...

Just shows the ignorance of the American voting public that they'd even CONSIDER voting this incumbent administration in for another 4 agonizing years.

DeeGeMe 08-31-2004 05:17 PM

By wearing these "purple hearts", aren't the Repugs sending out a big FU to every person who has ever served in the military of this country?

Nixxxed 08-31-2004 05:53 PM

This is my favorite part (in italics) of their website:

Purple Heart
A more traditional design. This version of the bandage design features a standard purple heart. President Washington's portrait has been removed out of respect. 10 units per box.

By the way, what's with the joke about defrosting chicken on the Instructions page? Which portion of their smear have I missed?

Nixxxed 08-31-2004 06:10 PM

We can do this too -- How about we make up our own "product" and get a simple webpage together. Hell, we could even just copy that one's design. We'll create The (Unofficial) Ledge 527 Group "Swift Ledgies".

How about "W" brand coke straws, or the Bush Magic 8-Ball (all of the answers being "ATTACK IRAQ" of course)? Or ... how about camouflage t-shirts that say "Be AWOL You Can Be" -- yes, I know that's the Army and not the Air Force, so how about blue button-downs with black epaulets (sp?) with "Aim As High As Bush Is" across the back.

Then, all we have to do is create controversy to advertise. And this board knows a little about controversy, no? :D

In honor of Stevie, we could sell our own enemas and blowing instruments. :p

PS: That avatar is freaky, it looks like something form Hellraiser.

 I take it you will be the one to receive and distribute these? Heading to the bathroom now ... I think I can still make UPS late pick-up ... look for my package tomorrow.

On the other hand, I was sure you, out of everyone, would have a good idea. One word: Disappointed.

It's Scorpius from Farscape (new miniseries premieres Oct. 17 on SciFi ... tune in every 5 minutes until then for the commercial!). I was going to be him for Halloween, but black vinyl catsuits give me a rash, just like Halle Berry. :D

 Disappointed? Bush having coke blown up his ass disappoints you?! C'mon, I can't get any more classless.

How about t-shirts that say "Educated At Yale, Drunk On Ale"?

dissention 08-31-2004 07:16 PM

Enjoy this:

With tentacles like wealthy octopi,
The well-connected didn't have to die
The unit's full? We knew just what to do:
One made a call and simply jumped the queue.
Yes, keeping out of danger wasn't really hard.
I used my daddy's clout to hide out in the Guard.

Oppose the war? That seemed to me psychotic.
We Bushes, after all, are patriotic.
I backed the war. I wasn't disaffected.
I served, but safely, being well-connected.
I partied right at home; my record was unmarred.
I used my daddy's clout to hide out in the Guard.

They say I skipped about a year of meetings,
For which I've faced my only kind of flak.
If you can find my records of that period,
Then you can find those weapons in Iraq.

John Kerry's well-connected, as you know.
But, like a sucker, he signed up to go.
So, though I wear my flight suit and primp,
His medals made me seem to be a wimp.
While he was in a boat that Charlie could bombard,
I used my daddy's clout to hid eout in the Guard.

So Rove, sub rosa, managed to unchain
The sort of creeps who smeared my friend McCain.
With coverage that soon becomes intensive,
The valor's smudged, the hero turns defensive.
And voters soon forget why I emerged unscarred:
I used my daddy's clout to hide out in the Guard.

:wavey:

Gingrich got a deferment to go to grad school. The bastard thinks war is funny?
Cheney had FIVE deferments. Ashcroft had SEVEN.

HAHAHAHA!
Much better!

Sorry I misunderstood, I had never heard anyone call Bush a booty-bump fan -- not that it would surprise me. Perhaps we could offer a 2-for-1 special: "W" Brand Enemas with the new "Crawford New Years' Sunrise" fragrance, and "W" Brand flexible plastic straws with new powder-repellent coating.

With a name like Bush, there has to be a sex toy thrown in somewhere.

WELL, I had an idea for a sex toy many years ago, and I've never followed through on it. So tell me what you think.

It's called "The Bassturbator" -- it's one of those male stimulation tubes that is mounted (pun intended) inside a large-mouth bass (or small-mouth, if required ;) ). Since W recently did that fishing show, perhaps we stick a campaign sticker on the side and show his little black terrier holding it in his mouth???

EDIT: "The Bassturbator" and all design ideas copyright: me! And if it requires a patent, gimme one of them too!

irishgrl 09-01-2004 06:42 AM

Today's special:

Hur-ry Hur-ry Hur-ry~ Get yer red hot patents here! only two for a buck!
the first 10 people to respond get a free copyright thrown in! and rights to your very own late night tv shopping channel!

ps: Id use drano to perform the Bush enema, not coke, but then, thats just me.

pps: Scorpius' mask reminds of the the first Spiderman movie, where Spiderman got blasted by one of Goblin's globes and his mask was in shreds.....Scorpius musta been taking notes. Of course, he should realize that the odds of someone recognizing him would increase dramatically with less stuff covering his face......just a thought.......then again, maybe he WANTS to be recognized? (hey look at ME! Im a BAD GUY!)
