NEW "Tusk" Survivor - GAME ON!
 

The New Rules:

We're starting over and have implemented a few new rules, most of which more closely mimic the real Survivor and a couple of which serve to make things easier and more organized. Please familiarize yourself with these rules because these are the standards by which votes will be counted.


The way the hosts post: We will always post official results in the same manner (+4 Red) and our goal is to make it easy for you guys to follow what’s going on. So if you’re confused, look for our posts. We will announce a) when the voting period has begun and ended b) who has immunity and c) results.

VOTING:

- Voting periods begin AFTER immunity is assigned and ends at 9:00 EST that night. Either rezamatic or I will post an official beginning and ending announcement. If your votes are before or after those posts, then they do not count. See below for how immunity works.

- When you vote, type 1) The round number and 2) the name of the song in your subject line and ONLY that. We will tally the votes by the subject line, so if it ain’t in the subject it doesn’t count! Otherwise, feel free to converse however you like. But please try to keep the constant arguing and back-and-forth to a minimum just so it's easier for people to keep track of votes!

- Votes can NOT be changed once they’re posted. We count your first vote and that is all.

- If there is a tiebreaker, then ALL votes from ALL previous rounds are tallied and whoever has the most prior votes is eliminated. That’s the way it’s done on the real show, that’s the way it’s done here. If there is a complete tie with prior votes (Murphy’s Law), then we’ll have a sudden-death immunity question ready which will allow someone to make the call themselves between those two (or more) songs.

IMMUNITY:

- After we tally the scores, we will announce the results and post an immunity question/puzzle/etc. and await a response post. In order to be considered, the answering post must containing both the following: 1) the correct answer and 2) the choice for immunity. When we get that post, it will then be VERIFIED by us in bright red letters confirming who has immunity this round. So again, if we haven’t posted, nothing is official! Once we confirm immunity, the voting period begins.

The next post will contain the results of the preliminary round and demonstrate to you how the official posts will look. After that, I will post a vote that will demonstrate to you how that will be done as well.

I do think Honey Hi is not as good as Save Me A Place, but seeing as there is no immunity this round... it seems safest to vote off a song that could very easily see immunity next round.

And no offense to "Honey Hi', I just think it's such a waste. It needs something extra to actually make it a song versus a demo!

So far we're off to a good start, can't wait to see how this plays out! I think the Sara vs. Save Me A Place battle will be the ultimate face-off to watch :-D

Hey, I think we need to get clarification on whether or not you have to put the round number in the subject line to get your vote to count. I know it's specified in the rules. I really wouldn't want this to be an issue when the votes get tabulated if someone does not. Just trying to keep things running smoothly. :) Thanks.

jwd, we tally the votes by the name of the song in the subject line. If that's there, the vote gets tallied. However, we ask that you include the round number as well for clarity.

Once we get through a few rounds, we'll probably get a new thread going just to keep things easy. When things get cluttered, we want to make sure you can still read/follow votes and such. We just don't want to swarm the boards with one specific topic, as Nancy said. Keeping it in the subject line helps out bigtime when we tally.

I can't believe that Save me a place is losing. :shocked: It's not the best song in the album, but the worst?! I don't think so. I love Honey Hi too but if it comes down to one of those two I'll probably vote Honey Hi. :(

I completely agree with Saradorna that SMAP is not the worst song on Tusk nor do I give into any SMAP hating around here. Plain and simple: a vote for SMAP is a vote against the possibility that SMAP is in the top three or two or even one simply because it seems that SMAP fans are good with the fast finger immunity typing. I would hate to see round after round of SMAP with immunity when I would normally vote to evict it after the second or third round.

Think of it as a preemptive strike against the confusion of the last game.
