Gotta type faster than that to beat me!!!
So, am I REpicking immunity from yesterday(did we throw away yesterday?)
Save Me a Place has immunity.

Johnny Stew 08-25-2004 10:09 PM

HomerMcVie and Hawkeye both posted the correct answer at the same time... 11:06pm.

The new thread has only begun, and it looks like we already have another controversy in the making.

I still say we should do away with immunity altogether.

Hawkeye 08-25-2004 10:10 PM

That ****ing song has more lives the a cat. I guess I'll wait to cast my vote because the only song I really want to vote off has immunity for like the 3rd time.

DeadliestPoison 08-25-2004 10:11 PM

Hee. Well, I cheated. I could only think of 11 or 12 and I had to go to the Biographies page and count them up.

Johnny Stew 08-25-2004 10:11 PM

Well, I realize that HomerMcVie's name appears first, but they did both answer at the same time.

I think it's only fair that a new question be asked, or immunity be dropped altogether, once and for all. (Sorry, Jacob!)

HomerMcvie 08-25-2004 10:12 PM

But the photo finish CLEARLY shows me by a nose(otherwise, his post would've been first, duh).
I'm gonna drink a beer now to celebrate this victory!!!! :D

Hawkeye 08-25-2004 10:13 PM

Now that I think about I probably poushed SEND BEFORE HomerMcVie but I got a F***ing got a Message is too danmed short. It cost me like 30 seconds. Thanks The Ledge

BULLS^&T. The clock doesn't show seconds, but, OBVIOUSLY, the first post entered-IS-the first post listed.
Maybe you should go take a nap for awhile Johnny. Controversy abounds when you're around.

Johnny Stew 08-25-2004 10:16 PM

As I said, minutes into the new thread and we already have a new controversy.

I say drop Immunity altogether... it's nothing but trouble, and has already been the cause of an entire round having to be negated and re-done.

I got the "too short" message twice! So much for that theory.
Ya'all just can't accept ANYTHING that's not in your favor, can you? That's not necessarily directed at you Hawk, just the feeling around here lately.

Hawkeye 08-25-2004 10:19 PM

OH, I was gonna ask if you got that message. You got it TWICE huh, that sucks. All right I give up. SMAP HAS immunity

DeadliestPoison 08-25-2004 10:20 PM

I'm not confused. In my eyes, Homer had the first vote, as his message shows up first. Although it was the same time (11:06), it could have been posted mere seconds (or even milliseconds or whatever) before yours. *shrug*

EDIT - This was Re: Hawkeye's original post saying that this round was already confusing, etc.

jwd 08-25-2004 10:21 PM

I say I'm going to vote for the original immunity song "Walk A Thin Line" from the "other" thread and be on with this.

And please remember that once you've picked an immunity song, it cannot be changed. It's really not that difficult, *cough*Homer*cough*. :)

Ah yes, we all know that I do nothing around here but create controversy, by continually demanding recounts and "do-overs" everytime "Save Me A Place" is about to get booted.

I also spend my time by making negative comments, posting sarcastic criticisms, and ridiculing entire groups of people in order to stir the pot.

How do you people put up with me?

xdreamsunwindx 08-25-2004 10:24 PM

LET IT GO, PEOPLE. It's a *game*. Jeeze.

Homer's name appeared first. Unless they posted at the *exact* same second, which is highly unlikely, Homer got it. The end.

Seriously, twice. I hit the space bar on the first one, only to realize that didn't work when it came back again.
Off to drink some Duffs......ya'all play nice now.

Hawkeye 08-25-2004 10:26 PM

Well I'm not really suprised at all at my extremely NARROW loss. I have the WORST luck EVER. So I'm not really mad at anyone really, I think anyone would be extremely pissed in my situatuation. It's like loosing the super bowl with a last second Field Goal. It sucks.

I like you, but you DO remind me of someone's Mom, always telling us how it's going to be.
This is not your game, but, again, you're telling us how it should be. Let Jacob run his game, alright?

DeadliestPoison 08-25-2004 10:29 PM

Aaaaaanyway.

Since SMAP's immune (yay!), I'm voting for THAT'S ENOUGH FOR ME.

xdreamsunwindx 08-25-2004 10:37 PM

I too will be going with That's Enough For Me. I like it, but not as much as the remaining songs.

If I act like a Mom in other threads (and, for the record, I still prefer "Dad"... I am a man, after all), it's only because I have to moderate, as well as participate.

In these Survivor threads, I've only been having fun... just like everyone else.

But as far as telling Jacob how to run the game, I don't recall being the one who loudly and vocally demanded a do-over, and cried that the game was unfair because immunity should be changed (after four people had already voted, mind you).

CarneVaca and several others DEMANDED that the last round be disavowed... and despite the fact that Jacob clearly deemed "Walk A Thin Line" to be the song with immunity, people still demanded that Jacob re-start the round or else give "Save Me A Place" immunity.

Sounds pretty bossy to me.

Meanwhile, I didn't tell Jacob to DO anything, I simply stated my opinion that a new question should be asked or Immunity should be dropped altogether, lest we have another controversy on our hands.

Stupid me though, I keep forgetting that the only time an outcry is acceptable around here, is when "Save Me A Place" is on the chopping block.

Amen brother! And it's such a crappy song!

golden braid 08-25-2004 10:45 PM

This is so confusing it's ridiculous. The whole immunity thing just adds to all the confusion too. So I guess I will vote for Walk a Thin Line since it doesn't have immunity anymore.

Hmmmmm there's that word again. CONFUSING. Hmmmm last time this got confusing we had to redo the round. Should we redo this round with SMAP having immunity. Maybe we should just keep redoing rounds until it's Christmas and we're still on Round 8. TUSK Survivor the Survivor that lasted all year

"I" was not the vocal one. I said I would "like" to change my immunity choice. Unfortunately, Jacob wasn't around for a good long while............
I did, after all the confusion, suggest that maybe a redo was the best thing to do, to be FAIR to everyone, believe it or not.
ps- and I would have stood by whatever Jacob's decision was.
