Weird Song Question

Years ago I knew a woman who was in a car accident and slipped into a coma. After days of waiting, the doctors suggested to her mom that she play her daughter's favorite music to try to pull her out of the coma. Eventually, a U2 song woke the daughter up, and when Rattle And Hum opened, we all went to see it together.
Anyway, my question here is: What one Stevie song would be most likely to pull you out of a coma?

Wow, that IS a weird question! :p

For me, I imagine it would be "Battle Of The Dragon."
The song saved my life once... I'm sure it could save it again. :)

I'm gonna say Edge of Seventeen.

Think About It :)

GretaRhiannon 07-13-2004 01:50 AM

That's a hard one lol, I love too many of her songs...But umm...Gypsy is my all time fave song of her's so, Gypsy is my answer

dissention 07-13-2004 09:36 AM

Storms. Her best song. :xoxo:

Livia 07-13-2004 09:38 AM

I'd have to say "Holiday Road."

Stand Back

(I'd probably prefer the live version from LIB, but I don't think I should be so picky being in a coma & all...)

I dunno...

...but, it would have to be unplugged.

"I Don't Want to Know"

It was my favorite song when I was young, so it has positive, youthful memories attached to it. :)

Edge Of 17

EDGE OF SEVENTEEN, I guess. But if it's about songs that "turns you on" (even from a coma) , maybe I CAN'T WAIT and STAND BACK (live) fit in this situation, too

darklinensuit 07-13-2004 12:01 PM

I agree it's hard to decide. Bella Donna would make sense: "Come in...out of the darkness..." but it's not my pick. Gypsy comes close, Wild Heart demands attention, and I Can't Wait might jolt a person awake. But my real pick would be Seven Wonders. Something about those first notes just gr4abs me.

Edge, or probably Insider...I'd be like..."must... listen to most... beautiful harmony...ever in the world...can't die till....I figure it out....can I please...have a...cheeseburger? Don't forget....ranch...for my...fries..."

Like Lucy in the candy factory.
And if I help myself to some of the fries, let her wake up to catch me. ;)

Yes, and you're also a Seven Wonders fanatic. It's so obvious my dear.

EO17 is frantic, urgent, anthemic, brilliant!! That would jar me out of a coma easily! (knock on wood....)

I'd love the song even if she didn't wear the low cut dress in the video.

It is a good one. However, I don't think that song would jar me out of anything unless Stevie was in my hospital room, bedside, singing in all her resplendant glory, complete with platforms and bewitching atire.

No, she stays stuffed up by the attic window while I dress in her clothes. When are you showering? :wavey:

Actually, I'm a thousand miles from my family.

Great. Then I get to pick your Stevie song.

Maybe something like The Highwayman, which I dislike so that I'd want to wake up and switch the song. :D

Otherwise, just put Sara on repeat.
