My first thought was James Earl Jones, but Violet beat me to that one.

How about Barbra Streisand? She has a pretty recognizable voice IMO.

Wait, was he an actor? What was he in other than Pepsi commercials?
(I was going to include Diana Ross & Elvis, but I couldn't bring myself to because they really are mainly singers.)

It took me forever to figure out that he was the voice on the phone in that movie Phonebooth with Colin (unibrow) Farrell. It bugged me the entire movie because I knew the voice but couldn't place exactly who it was.

Another distinct speaking voice belongs to Alec frickin' Baldwin. Does he do a voice over for every car commercial or what?!?!

BrokenWing 07-02-2004 03:40 PM

Paul Lynde
Charles Nelson Reilly
Wally Cox
Brett Somers (from the old "Match Game")

Eileen
(No, I'm really not that old, I just like watching old game shows! :))

Gypsy-Rhiannon 07-02-2004 03:51 PM

How about some Brits?

Hugh Grant
Julie Andrews

I listed Andrews. I thought of Grant, but I didn't think his voice was so unusual, and figured the accent would mean nothing to our British Ledgies. Guess I was wrong.

I'm sure there's a ton of others from across the pond, though.

Not British, but I just thought of:
- Aniie Potts

I guess that makes more sense than reading it as Carol's name listed twice. :sorry: ;)

Nevermind.

Stockard Channing. She's been doing a lot of voiceover work for commericals in the past few years.

And Dee Dee Cohn from Grease and Benson.

Also, Aundra whatever (Mrs. Roper). She was hilarious in the movie Best Friends.

Which reminds me, Burt Reynolds also. (Spit out the damned gum.)

Gwillaker 07-02-2004 05:40 PM

Bob "are you talkin' to me" De Niro

Al Pacino!! One of the greatest and most recognizable voices ever!

- Jake

Oops... sorry love.. missed your Julie mention. As for Hugh. It;s not so much his accent but how he talks. Hard to explain really buy I know his voice right away.

I'm sure there are tons of others too but my mind has gone blank right now

Mishter Bond..

Anybody heard of Sean Connery???

I'm not a fan of his acting but he's got the most unique and recognisable voice in cinema IMO.
