Nicole. It's scary how much alike we are (aside from the gender differences). A lot of times, we can finish each other's sentences. And I've only known her for two years! o_O

gldstwmn 06-11-2004 01:38 AM

Again, no offense intended, but is this the real spelling/name?

Then again, somewhere some day somebody is going to be saying "My best friend's name is Home Lafoon."

Some friendships just seem like they're meant to be, don't you think?

 I don't really have a single best friend, but rather like 3 - Rhys, Peter and Mike.

sara1998 06-11-2004 04:52 AM

Tagen.... I could kick her ass for moving all the way to Arizona.

Then there's Beth. We've known eachother since we were 4. We grew up to work for the same company, and she's building her home about 5 minutes down the street from mine. All coincidence, but she says "we were meant to be friends for a very long time......"

Naturally when I met him I said 'you mean Stevie?'

He said, 'no, Steve'.

My best friend's name is Stephanie Lynn (not to be confused with the other and more famous Stephanie Lynn). ;)

In fact, the Stephanies will converge tomorrow night in Hershey. I'm just glad I can be a part of it. (haha)

Of course, you would have expected it! It is so funny how you know both of us, but for different musical groups. Alison + the Beatles + Brian +Fleetwood Mac = Sacha  I will send the "hint" in her direction about trading you some more Beatles stuff. I don't think she will be trading for a few weeks though. She is have surgery next Tuesday, so keep her in your prayers.

GardenStateGirlie 06-11-2004 12:23 PM

I don't have one best friend...I have a few whom I'd consider to be my best friends. Two are Stephanie's, two are Meredith's and then there's a Phyllis and I love them all dearly.

DrummerDeanna 06-11-2004 01:03 PM

I don't really have like one best friend...but I'm still really close to my ex bf so

Josh

Frankie
Amanda
Matthew

Violet 06-11-2004 03:21 PM

Eileen. We've know each other since we were 3. Grew up across the street from each other and were always closer to each other than our own sisters. We haven't kept in touch nearly as much as we should have since I moved away, but we know we'll always be there for each other! And she did go see FM with me last year!

Cheri is a close second. She's like my best friend from adulthood, if that makes sense. Met her 10 years ago and even though I haven't seen her since she moved to Alaska (from FL!) two years ago, we email every singe day and talk couple times a month.

LOL. Of course it is, though with the ridiculous names people fabricate these days it might as well be a birth name.

My best friend is Angie!

Sugar 06-12-2004 07:21 AM

Rich.
He was actually my first real long-term boyfriend back when I was a teenager. I broke up with him; it was horrible and viscious, but I don't think we ever went more than three days without talking to each other. It's odd and dysfunctional, I have no doubt, but he's what I got! He's always been the one who can listen to everything and anything without judging and put my head to rest. His loyality is unquestionable.

My husband is pretty cool too, and will often listen to me, and tries to be empathetic, but he's just not wired that way.

xdreamsunwindx 06-12-2004 07:34 AM

My best friend's name is Alex. We have so much in common, it's crazy. She's equally as sarcastic as I am, too, which is very rare in people my age . I also have a lot of online friends who I'm pretty close to, and talk to a lot.

Oh, definitely. I'm always joking that we're soul mates, even though there's no romance at all between us. Nicole & I are practically inseparable. So naturally, she's going to a different school next year. :(

Soul mates don't have to be romantic by any means. And don't worry about the school separation. I love that many of my closest friends are scattered around the globe.

Hello

Simple enough my best friends name is Susan. And depending on the vagaries of XY chromosome combinations, my daughters name will be as well.

GretaRhiannon 06-15-2004 11:04 PM

Emerita, we do almost everything together, but I feel bad that she isnt going to go to the Shania concert with me, becasue she wouldnt pay me for her ticket, so I invited someone else, and the other day she was all 'remind me to pay you' and I didnt say anything, because my other friend is paying me before her...yeah heh, you guys probably didnt need to know all that, I'm just venting...

When I taught fourth grade I had a novel on the Alamo, and I think this was a character's name, come to think of it.
