Who is your favourite?

Admit it you have a favourite member of the Mac! Who is it and why?
State your preference and be proud!

Edit: If your favourite member isn't here, say who it is and tell me off for not putting an option for "Other". :o

skcin 06-09-2004 02:41 PM

I've always been much more of a Stevie fan, but after this tour I'm going with the pair together.

chiliD 06-09-2004 02:50 PM

I'm a Fleetwood Mac fan. "the whole sh-bang."

And, yes, that includes Bekka Bramlett, too.

gldstwmn 06-09-2004 02:58 PM

I'd be lying if I said that it was anyone other than Stephanie Nicks and her Wild Heart.
I looove FM and found myself with a new level of admiration and respect for Linds after seeing him do the Soundsatge show-but I have always been a chiffon head. :)

I'm going to assume that this selection includes Bob Brunning, Jeremy Spencer, Bob Weston, Dave Walker, Dave Mason and Bekka Bramlett too and that you couldn't type their names in because of the lack of space.

At least, I hope that's the reason. ;)

Yeah, I bet there's some hotheaded Dave Walker fans out there irritated because of this injustice. ;)

CarneVaca 06-09-2004 03:18 PM

Lindsey Buckingham all the way. Without him, as we have seen, Fleetwood Mac is elevator music.

Stevie has always been my favorite and always will be but LIndsey does an excellent job on guitar and because of his excellent guitar playing, I love FMs music.

Rick Vito is an outstanding guitarist and in my opinion is better than Lindsey.

But Stevie I LOVE YOU!

Jimmy

The whole damn thing! The Mac all the way baby! :blob1:

Sure, if you like bland, unimaginative guitar playing.

Ahh, but didn't Lindsey produce all of those Mac songs we now hear on easy-listening and adult contemporary stations? ;)

(Gotta yank your chain a little, Carne.) :)

The question is, What are you doing, listening to those old-fart stations?

I'm 31 now (with 32 only three months away), so I'm learning to embrace being a senior citizen.

Now if I could get some of those danged discounts!

If anyone's numbers need bumped up, it's Christine!
She deserves to have more votes than 0. :(

Just check out the Rick Vito In Concert DVD and then we'll see if you still uphold the same opinion.

But if this was done after the release of In The Meantime then she'd probably do better. Or at least that's what I wanna believe. :)

You obviously have a serious case of wax build-up in your ears.

Surprise, it's Stevie. :woohoo:

It's astonishing that Stvie can be the most bashed member on the board and she still manages to dominate this poll. It's amazing the power she has. Anyways I went with Fleetwood Mac as a whole which is kind of cheaing if you think about it.

Carolina Girl 06-09-2004 04:07 PM

Lindsey all the way! I love Stevie and her songs, and I love the Mac as a whole, but Lindsey is definitely my favorite.

Well, one has now. :) Christine's talent & class beat everyone else in Fleetwood Mac by a mile for me.

Hah, that's great. :)

I'm born and bred a Stevie fan, but this tour has really made me appreciate Lindsey more than I ever thought I would. That said, I'm a 'BuckinghamNicks' .

dissention 06-09-2004 04:26 PM

I went with Buckingham Nicks, but I'm a bit more of a Lindsey fan.

Now, before I had ever heard GOS, I was a total chiffonhead. I still am, honestly (with the exception of the putrid RAL and SA albums). But after I heard GOS, I was a total Lindsey fan. The release of SYW put me over the edge. The man is brilliant, no bones about it. I find it puzzling how someone can listen to songs like Save Me A Place, The Ledge, Red Rover, I Know I'm Not Wrong and not think that he's a genius. And he plays a guitar like no other. But I'm still a huge Stevie fan. ;)

I'm a Fleetwood Mac fan, but specifically the Rumours lineup, no doubt. I liked Behind the Mask and Say you will, but adore albums from the Rumours lineup.

Carne I swear on my momma I just heard Trouble in the elevator at my doctor's. (i got some serious allergy problems) It made me feel old hearing one of my fav tunes in the elevator.

golddustwoman77 06-09-2004 04:57 PM

:blob2: :blob1: I would definitely say the WHOLE shebang---Fleetwood Mac---all of them!!!!!!!!!!!! No way could I pick just one of them. They are all instrumental to the band in their own special way. :blob2: :blob1:

shackin'up 06-09-2004 05:57 PM

well,

I wanted to vote lindsey first, but Stevie was my first appeal and Greeny- and welch-era-mac came ahead a few months after that. And GOS proves that Buckingham solo is at his best with this rythmsection on his side. So at last I voted for Fleetwood Mac. But I have to say: My devotion really stopped when Lindsey left: I saw the Tangotour, the BTMtour and the Time-tour. But the real Mac for me I saw last year. So maybe I could have voted BN, too.

And did you vote too Trackaghost? :D

estranged4life 06-09-2004 06:08 PM

I voted for...

the whole damn thing known as Fleetwood Mac.

Brian "The Bassist in me picked John McVie though" j.

wondergirl9847 06-09-2004 06:20 PM

Ooh...

This thread could get VERY interesting. LOL

My favorite has ALWAYS been Bob Brunning!! I ADORE HIM!!!!

My top 3 are: Lindsey, Stevie and Danny.

I Cannot believe you called Rick Vitos guitar playing bland and unimaginitive or whatever. THATS BS. He is an amazing guitarist.

Listen to Stop Messin Round from BTM tour and ull change your mind.

Jimmy

DeadliestPoison 06-09-2004 06:44 PM

Yay, John McVie!

Now that I think of it, I shoulda voted for FM as a whole. I'm definitely here for the package deal. Er. Not BN. The whole shabang.

ryan8472 06-09-2004 06:55 PM

I'm such a conformist...

I voted for Stevie. I really should have voted for the whole Fleetwood Mac though. It's only that Stevie is the one who's music turned me on to Fleetwood Mac, and music in general really, so I had to go with her.

BTW Christy, you're right, I can just see some feuds beginning here

Dude, you like mashed potatoes. Great. I like my mashed potatoes with a generous helping of garlic and a side of chilies, thank you very much. That's the difference.

And, no, I won't change my mind. I've heard enough of the man's playing to decide whether I like it.

My brother likes ketchup on his mashed potatoes.

But then, that seems more like a discussion for Jake to post on the Chit-Chat Forum! ;)

sodascouts 06-09-2004 08:35 PM

BN all the way baby! But then everybody already knew that, lol

Not to diminish the rest of Fleetwood Mac, but they will always be my favorites.

Stevie is definitely number one for me although I do love Lindsey also. I have really grown to love Lindsey more and more especially after seeing them tour last year.
