They need to add Monday Morning & Sisters Of The Moon

To the Houston set list particularly ;)

77Rumours77 06-03-2004 05:48 PM

I would **** twice and die if they did that ;)

earthdreamer 06-03-2004 05:50 PM

Me too

goldie 06-03-2004 07:32 PM

I love Monday Morning on the Live album. The intro RULES! The whole song just makes me want to get up and dance!

strandinthewind 06-03-2004 07:59 PM

Word is they rehearsed Monday Morning during the break before this leg but did not like the way it sounded or deceided not to do it, etc. I think Cory B. told us that in her your diary!!!!

DownOnRodeo 06-03-2004 09:04 PM

I'm glad they didn't like it because neither do I! IKINW on the other hand... great choice! :D

Not only would I soil myself, but I would grab the closest woman and give her a WWII Victory Kiss!

Play them Lindsey DAMMIT :wavey:

mylittledemon 06-03-2004 09:09 PM

Yeah, I went to the Jacksonville show really just to see "Sara" and "I Know I'm Not Wrong." It's a bummer they've pulled Silver Springs from the set. That's such a great Lindsey/Stevie tune to watch onstage.

I think they should pull Red Rover and do Sisters of the Moon or add Eyes of the World back in. Sisters of the Moon would be amazing if they did it ala the "mirage tour."

wondergirl9847 06-03-2004 09:13 PM

Omg!

If she did SOTM, I'd wet myself!! LOL That's my 2nd fave live Stevie song, after GDW! Monday Morning, I love, but I'd rather hear him do Tango in the Night!!!!

goldie 06-03-2004 09:15 PM

Maybe they'll put SS back in after Stevie gets better this week?

ugh! Never mind, I just read the tour diary. :(

Mad4stevie 06-03-2004 09:25 PM

I would love to hear SOTM!

When was the last time it was performed live by them?

mylittledemon 06-03-2004 09:36 PM

I believe the last performances of SoTM was during the Mirage tour.

ryan8472 06-04-2004 06:04 AM

I believe Mick has also stated that they had considered bringing back Sisters of the Moon for this leg, but the idea was eventually scrapped. It might have been in that interview he did where he said that Sara and Don't Let Me Down Again were being added as well. As for Monday Morning, I think it would be great to hear live again. When I saw FM in Bridgeport last year, my mom kept asking "why didn't they play Monday Morning?". If any of the band reads this...It really wouldn't hurt to open the show with something other than The Chain once in a while ;) ...

Nah! But they should definitely add a different Lindsey song other than Monday Morning. I like that song, but I'd rather hear Miranda, or Murrow or something obscure either from Tango or Tusk. I know we have IKINW, but I think we need another one like that...

SOTM would ROCK!!!!! Please, please, PLEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE do SOTM!!! That with Sara on he same tour? Holy sh*t, I would die!

wondergirl9847 06-04-2004 01:17 PM

Ack!!

Oh, helllll NAW!!

I am allll about SOTM, but dropping Red Rover...over my dead body.

The song that should be dropped....Stand Back. It's pointless. I adore the song, but come on. I understand the energy, yada yada, but there are other songs that have energy.

dissention 06-04-2004 02:30 PM

I want Storms. I have to hear it live once before I die!!!!!!!! :blob2:

wondergirl9847 06-04-2004 02:36 PM

Amen Dis!!

I'd kill to hear Storms too! All of her Tusk songs are primo!

I don't think the gang would be able or inclined to fire up those 20-year-old pistons.

Yep, as much as I initially wanted to hear this live, it couldn't come close to the version we all fell in love with. I'd rather they took another rarity - like w/ Beautiful Child - and brought it to the stage for the first time. Storms would be a great choice. I think her voice could handle it.

As for Monday Morning, it would make a killer opening number. I'm sooo worn out on The Chain as the first song.

Why do I torture myself thinking about this band (significantly) changing the setlist when it will never happen? I need therapy. :]

Livia 06-04-2004 05:20 PM

LOL, Mike B. We all need therapy...Remember when they opened with "In the Back of My Mind" and then that morphed into the Chain? THAT was cool!!!

Yes, that was cool! The 1990 BTM tour was my first FM show and I thought that was an amazing start. I don't think anything has really topped it as far as a "dramatic" opening. The lights and the weird "what's it really like" voices...it felt like the beginning of some gothic play.

I think it was embarrassing. Gothic play..haha. See one show of Tool and you know what drama is. And design. And gothic play. Even if you despise their music, they THINK about stage-drama. What the mac did back then? No I'd rather see the band now: no "bigger-than-life setting" but trust on what you do best. The only thing disturbing thing here is Micks solo. Exactly for that same reason.

PS: The morphing into the Chain worked, though....
