Lol

Sorry Mike, I stole your thunder. I know people are sitting on pins and needles for the new setlist!!!

Thanks to Joy!! :D

I am very disappointed that they are not doing more new Stevie songs. :( I desperately wanted Smile at You.

But, Red Rover and IKINW...also DLMDA MORE than makes up for my disappointment!! LOL

mike1982 05-08-2004 09:03 PM

It's all good:-)

stratist3217 05-08-2004 09:21 PM

how Dare They Drop Eyes Of The World! How Dare They!

wondergirl9847 05-08-2004 09:27 PM

Dropped songs...

Say You Will
Gypsy
Goodbye Baby
Eyes of the World
What's the World Coming To

I'm not upset about these getting dropped, but I wish she had added two new songs.

SpyNote 05-08-2004 09:31 PM

new set

Looks like Stevie's just doing the hits now. I can live with that :woohoo:

stratist3217 05-08-2004 09:33 PM

OF ALL THE SONGS THEY HAD TO DROP, IT HAD TO BE EYES OF THE WORLD! IF THEY DON'T BRING IT BACK I'M NOT GONNA GO SEE THEM ANYMORE!

ShangriLaTroubl 05-08-2004 09:36 PM

Destiny Rules..glad to see that one back, atleast shes done one of the new cd...Love it...I CANNOT WAIT to hear Sara...

Hmmm.......now I'm getting extremely tempted to take a short break to the States in the very near future! I wish I could somehow work it round my insane schedule....:(

Now if only they had added Storms....even if no other songs were added, I would have been there....no question....to hell with my schedule!!

(I'm slightly surprised they're doing Don't Let Me Down Again AND World Turning, as they're quite similar sounding songs. Unless....they blended one into the other....that would be quite cool!)

ShangriLaTroubl 05-08-2004 09:38 PM

i think Im so Afraid shouldve been dropped rather than Eyes of the World

Chris

diamondsnake 05-08-2004 09:41 PM

Hmmm, I am so glad they are still doing Beautiful Child! I thought it would be dropped. I wish they would have done Frozen Love instead of DLMDA. Oh well! And it will be strange not ending the show with a ballad.

My big complaint is... Stevie has one less song on this leg of the tour! Maybe because Sara is such a long song!

That's not gonna happen even in a million years.....it's LB's favourite live song.:)

golden braid 05-08-2004 09:52 PM

I'm glad that made a few changes to the setlist but I'm still disappointed. I wish they had made the setlist really different even though I knew that that was never going to happen. Oh well. :distress: I'm still excited to see them again.

mylittledemon 05-08-2004 10:04 PM

I love the setlist. I cant wait. I really wish they wouldnt have dropped Say You Will, or Eyes of the World though. But SARA is worth it!!!

Hehehehe....my two fave songs being played....:D:D:D:D:D

Cristian 05-08-2004 10:16 PM

So they just close with "Don't Stop". Nothing soft at the end? First they take off "Songbird", now "Goodbye Baby"?

I want to know how does that sound.

Pity they dropped "Eyes Of The World"... and weird also, as it's the opener for their new CD. I just don't get it. The other dropped songs, OK. And about the addition, they're all interesting for a change. "I Know I'm Not Wrong" was quite a surprise, as was "Don't Let Me Down Again".

Song of the moment - Nothing Ever Changes

Johnny Stew 05-08-2004 11:48 PM

I'm thrilled about "Sara," "I Know I'm Not Wrong," "Destiny Rules," and "Don't Let Me Down Again"... but VERY bummed at the loss of "Goodbye Baby."

Oh, and I have it on very good authority that the show was absolutely incredible and that.......
Spoiler:
Stevie wore a few different colored boots and added some variations to her wardrobe!
:D

estranged4life 05-09-2004 12:11 AM

Interesting...

to say the least, But I am disappointed that Eyes Of The World & Say You Will were dropped from the setlist (IMO those were 2 of the biggest surprises for being rockin' songs on the past tour.)

"Oh tell me Lord, Why am I here..."

Merf 05-09-2004 12:34 AM

DAMMIT!!!!! NO EFO????? :( :( :(

Oh well, I like the changes :)

Ha. We knew that was a total shot in the dark. I was at least pulling for some Thrown Down but It'll be awesome to see Destiny Rules again and of course, RED ROVER and SARA

Janet 05-09-2004 12:44 AM

I just want a freaking ticket now to see this. I don't even know how some of those new songs will go over on fans? They assume lots of people have TUSK I guess????

SteveMacD 05-09-2004 12:48 AM

I wish they'd bring back "Oh Well." I mean, if they can use a Buckingham Nicks tune, why not a pre-1975 Fleetwood Mac tune? But, I'm really glad they added IKINW.

darklinensuit 05-09-2004 01:54 AM

I think IKINW and Sara will be great. I'm not excited by the other changes.
I don't want fewer Stevie songs, and to cut any in favor of Destiny Rules is not an improvement, IMO. It's not my favorite of hers.
Eyes of The World should still be there.
I agree with Seteca that DLMDA and WT are too similar. (And at least drop Mick's drum thing.)
Don't Stop should have been the song to go. It's a lousy choice for the closer.

Much like everytime they try something new, I doubt any of this is set in stone. Destiny Rules is definately not my first choice as one of her new songs from SYW to be performed. Mick's drum thing will never be dropped. EVER. Don't Stop is a stupid way to close...I agree. But, much like Dreams, that too will NEVER be dropped. I really liked how they had two encores last leg...one slow song at the end that sort of mellowed things down. I am glad BC is still on the setlist. I absolutely love hearing her perform that

diamondsnake 05-09-2004 03:50 AM

I hope they don't get rid of Destiny Rules like they did on the last leg of the tour. As long as they keep it in the setlist for the next few weeks (so I can see it  ) I'll be happy!

shackin'up 05-09-2004 04:04 AM

I Know I'm Not Wrong!!! :blob1:
faints and even forgets that his other tourfaves WTWCT and EOTW are dropped, and drops in a deep sleep dreaming about a free flight to the States....Sigh....

gerald

DownOnRodeo 05-09-2004 07:07 AM

LMAO Gerlad - my thoughts EXACLTY! Are we twins?

I just got home after a busy weekend and Lux called me to tell me the news.
I was floored! I know it's a coincidence that Lindsey and Mick were angling for the same song that I'd made a T-Shirt for (and shoved in poor Lindsey's face), but it gives me a buzz nonetheless! After all, he became so animated when I asked that they consider doing IKIKNW ('in the vein of EOTW' I believe were my words... sorry that it replaced it, hehe! "I don't know my power!" lol, j/k. I am also a dead keen EOTW fan but I kinda knew, after what Lindsey said that if IKINW was in fact added, it would be in substitution of EOTW and/or SHN (which are the two songs we both simultenously said were like IKINW... 'short and punchy' etc).

All that said, the song I most want to hear is a cross between Sara and Red Rover. Sara because it I know that they've done something special with it this time, and Red Rover because I'm so curious about how on earth they do it for the stage.

xdreamsunwindx 05-09-2004 10:39 AM

Judging by the fact that they added Sara, Destiny Rules and Red Rover, EOTW was dropped and Dreams stayed, it has become quite obvious that Fleetwood Mac hate me. Oh well. I'm happy that IKINW and DLMDA were added, Beautiful Child stayed and that WTWCT was dropped.

Why do You Come Around and Drown in the sea of Love. You Know it Just Brings You Down because you never knew about that fire.

All those things came to my mind, too Joe! I remember almost the exact words of your post about the 'short and punchy ones'. of course I soaked that up! I'm convinced it was an "assist and score" between me and you. I screamed the title in lindseys face in London when I stood right at his feet next to UK- Neil with his Red Rovershirt on, just a few seconds before LB started with Big Love on november 29th. He smiled. In the preparation for the Down Undertour he gave it some thought, discussed it with Mick and there is Joe with his friggin' T-shirt. So you scored!!!! The bad thing is, they did not choose SHN as dropout for IKINW. ( although i love those couple of minutes to death, too.) But Hey! I would NEVER have thought this would EVER happen!!!! and now i'm not there...snifff

Are we twins? Sort of, but then a long thin one and a short chubby one.

tommer 05-09-2004 01:35 PM

i'm just glad i managed to catch Goodbye Baby done live before it's gone, coz no Sara's could compensate for this loss.

EveryHour 05-09-2004 01:47 PM

Admittedly, my heart literally sank when I saw that EOTW is gone. An absolute pisser and borderline sin:laugh:. Now there is not ONE song from Mirage in the setlist :distress: , although Sara replacing Gypsy is fab...I can't even seem to discuss Sara because I am still in shock (in a VERY good way)! And, dear god, please let my wishes for TITN reach them next tour! And, dammit, we wanted additional new Stevie songs, not replacements!!! No Thrown Down?! I am shocked and disappointed. I know a lot of people think it's a "downer", but I'm sad to see the quiet ending of Goodbye Baby go. I always feel like that's a special little gift for the true fans after everyone else has left. :(

It's funny to even see myself write these things, because once they walk onstage I'll be a blubbering idiot even if they sing the phonebook.

no_spoken_word 05-09-2004 02:45 PM

Question:

wonder if maybe they were planning on doing one last song after Don't Stop last night, but because the show started late and all of Lindsey's tech problems during the show maybe they had to cut the last song? I remember before Goodbye Baby would frequently get cut if the show started late. Most of those venues do have a curfew.

Yea that would be awesome if GB is on the set and couldn't be played cuz of this!

I was kind of hoping Goodbye Baby would be dropped in place of something else... anything else... but hey anything that keeps Stevie on stage longer is cool with me...

even if it has to be Goodbye Baby.

diamondsnake 05-09-2004 03:16 PM

Well I think this was an actual written out setlist and not a setlist someone came up with from the concert last night. But I hope I am wrong, because I want Goodbye Baby, Storms, etc. to close the show. A soft ballad must be the last song!

ryan8472 05-09-2004 04:03 PM

I like the set. Sounds like a good one to catch! I was still holding out for Crystal, though...

hayley 05-09-2004 04:04 PM

The setlist posted is what was played last night.

We saw a copy of what was supposed to be the set list last night, from I think one of the engineers in the back, and it was weird because several songs were actually crossed OFF the list, and it said they were going to be dropped... it seemed INSANE what was going to be dropped, so we were greatly relieved when they broke into all three. I have no idea if that bodes well for future shows, but.

The songs-
