golden braid 03-17-2004 11:33 PM

I just saw Metallica a week ago.

I plan to go to Ozzfest.

If Tom Petty tours I will see him too.

Of course, Fleetwood Mac. I am hoping to see the four N. California dates. :)

GypsySorcerer 03-17-2004 11:50 PM

- Blue Oyster Cult - Milford CT (:wavey: ), August 21st (At the aptly named Oyster Festival)

And I was really excited about Elton John playing 2 nights at the Arena At Harbor Yard, but alas, both are sold out :distress:

Pisces Queen 03-18-2004 10:19 AM

The official ZZ Top website only shows LAST year's dates. Do you have their itinerary for 2004? Just wondering if they're playing in Calif. ?

The only one I PLAN on is my annual weekend with the Dave Matthews Band at the Meadows in Hartford...It's in July this year which means I don't have to wait 'til the end of summer:cool:

There may be a few I'll attend in the meantime, I know FM is coming to the Meadows as well, but I'll have to wait and see on that one.

Summer is usually about the kiddo and family stuff, so that takes top priority:)

xdreamsunwindx 03-19-2004 02:11 PM

Hmmm...

Blondie- 5-5-04 Cleveland
FM- 6-10-04 Pittsburgh
FM- 6-13-04 Cleveland

I might see No Doubt if I have the money, but I don't think I can afford it. I'd love to see Tom Petty if he's touring this summer, too. I want to go to Ozzfest, but for some reason, I don't think that that idea would go over too well with my parents  .

ryan8472 03-20-2004 08:49 PM

UPDATE!

To add on to my old list...

David Byrne - New Britain, CT 5/18/04

It's about as close to seeing Talking Heads live as I'm going to get! And David rocks anyways, so...

WelshWitchPMD 03-21-2004 10:45 AM

Aside from some Fleetwood Mac shows that's it. Not many interesting acts coming around here unless you count Yanni.:p

estranged4life 03-21-2004 11:56 AM

King (!!!), Booker T. & The MG's, Brian May (!!!), Buddy Guy (!!!), Carlos Santana (!!!), Dan Tyminski, David Hidalgo, Doyle Bramhall II, Eric Clapton (!!!), Eric Johnson (!!!), Hubert Sumlin, James Taylor (???), Jimmie Vaughan, Joe Walsh (LOL!!!), Larry Carlton (!!!), Neal Schon (!!!), Otis Rush, Pat Metheny (!!!), Sonny Landreth, Steve Vai (!!!!!!!!!!!), The Robert Cray Band, Vince Gill & ZZ Top (!!!)

Siri Ruane 03-21-2004 01:53 PM

I'd love to see James Taylor. I'm curious to know how Joe Walsh is these days.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sting and Annie Lennox and honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Christina Aguilera either (save it, Jake  ) as well as Sarah McLachlan. However, it's the year of Fleetwood Mac...again...so I'll be seeing them and most likely only them

ozzfest sounds good this year, but i doubt ill make that one...i think itll be way too hot by then.

skcin 03-21-2004 10:24 PM

Mac in Hershey is it for now.

If Petty ever comes back, I'm there (he came in 2002 & I had a STUPID WEDDING to go to. I CURSE their anniversary, jerks!)

Cheap seats for Metallica have already sold out in Buffalo (I don't know how the tix went on sale last Saturday for their OCTOBER show, but whatver.) They may release seats later, but I don't know if I'll bother - they haven't been that great since "...And Justice For All", IMO (although Brian may disagree with me on that one!)

No one else interests me, to be honest. Just missed Bette Midler & Rod Stewart, not that upset, but slightly alarmed that those were the only concerts in recent memory that I've considered attending lately (and I'm 28!)

Paula

estranged4life 03-21-2004 11:29 PM

Well...

ME-Tallica hasnt had a great album since 1991's "Metallica" album (aka "None More Black").

Btw, I think Lars is in competition with Mick for the $$$$ of their fans

Brian "Dyer's Eve" j.

If I can dig up thirty extra dollars within the next two weeks, and find as mother says "someone responsible" to go with me, I may be going to see Blondie in Cleveland OH.

I agree. However, I just saw them in concert and I still had a good time. They only played a few new songs and only two songs from Load/Reload.

estranged4life 03-26-2004 11:29 PM

Well...

another major tour that is GOING to happen is Van Halen with Sammy Hagar once again as the lead vocalist:

http://www.van-halen.com/newsite/news.html

I will definitely see this show when/if it passes through OKC (And it just may...)

DrummerDeanna 03-27-2004 01:02 AM

As I still don't know exactly what my plans (or money sources) after graduation will be I don't know that I will see any shows...if I get a job....well that will all change :D I want to see the Mac again and Petty would be awesome!!

I'm also hoping to catch the Josh Joplin Group somewhere in the next year...he says he's touring soon...so I'm keeping my fingers crossed ...hmm...no finger crossed smiley..oh well :D

EveryHour 04-11-2004 11:11 PM

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Blondie (in a club!)

I really wanted to got to Prince, but I was being too picky about my seats and lost my chance. :distress:

estranged4life 07-02-2004 10:25 AM

Bumped up...

because of new shows I am attending:

Bob Dylan/Willie Nelson-Sept.3-Oklahoma City, OK-SBC Bricktown Ballpark (This show most definitely will outsell the Phil Collins show the same night just a 1 block up the street at the Ford Center!)

And more to be added very soon as they are "officially" announced!

macmar71 07-02-2004 10:34 PM

Journey~Sept. 1 Uncasville, CT

The Chain 07-02-2004 11:33 PM

Kiss in Laredo TX

BrokenWing 07-02-2004 11:53 PM

I've already been to my big summer concert (the Mac in Scranton), and don't have any further concert plans unless I can scrape together the dough for Camden or Atlantic City in September.

I did debate going to see Martina McBride at Six Flags in New Jersey next week. I absolutely adore her and have already seen her 14 times, but this particular show is a little different. No matter how I feel about Martina, I just can't bring myself to attend any event organized and hosted by (shudder) Sean Hannity  , even if the proceeds do go to a worthy cause (the families of soldiers in Iraq). Of course, if I did go, I'd make sure I was draped in Pride rainbows from head to toe and wearing a "Kerry for President" T-shirt. :D
