stevie should....
stevie should wear some of those clothes she had on durring the doc on stage. I really liked the outfit that had the pants and top going on. She looks dam hip with those sunglasses too. What does everyone else think?
|
I agree!
Lee :) |
For a minute during the stage rehearsals I thought Stevie had on a mini skirt. It was just a jacket over the pants. I really wish that she would change her wardrobe on tour. A mini skirt might be nice.;)
|
oooo, I'm going to be REAL unpopular now, but I thought that black outfit with the red, black & white jacket thing she wore on stage during rehearsal was just horrendous. I see 60 something women around here wearing that type of stuff - and they look and act 60 something - so it's something I did not expect to see Stevie wear!!
But then again, I thought Lindsey drove a Volvo, so what do I know?! Eileen |
Yeah, I was really disapointed to see Stevie walk on stage at the first show in that school marm, black dress after seeing her in all those fabulous outfits during the making of the album.
I thought she looked great while she was singing the backing vocals to Miranda. I LOOOOOOVE those glasses she was wearing. Her tops were beautiful and the black leather pants were "rawkin'!" |

The dress doesn't do good things for her, but I'd almost be willing to excuse it if she'd do something with her hair. Lindsey looks like he could use a fashion makeover as well. Maybe somebody should call those guys from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

i'm sure it'll be back when they tour the "sheds" and it's hot and humid this summer... |
I love seeing Stevie in pants but I know she will never wear them when she is performing. I hope she at least gets a new outfit for the upcoming tour. The sunglasses rocked too.
|
I agree...I think she looked hot in those rehearsal outfits...the shirt over the pants DID look like a mini skirt...and the pants were so tight thats what she would look like in a mini skirt...
I love all her off stage clothes...the red pants...in one part of the doc.. she had a white shirt on with the black pants...i love her in pants...she looks so much thinner Chris |

Damn, I couldn't agree more. Stevie, ditch the stage clothes and wear the street clothes. She looked so much better during the documentary, even her hair. I've never seen Stevie in pants so many times in all my life. Cool! :) Frankenboks and dresses do not make a good match imo! Joe |

Well thankfully the Madison show will be indoors :) and hopefully he will NOT have on that t-shirt. May 28th in New England might still be a little chilly for the t-shirt too. ;) |
I must be the only person who likes Stevie's button down dress! But, I agress- a change would be nice.
I loved her red leather pants, or whatever they were. I also thought all her different sunglasses and reading glasses were very hip and cool. And I don't know, was it just the different outfits she was wearing or did her weight seem to really fluctuate on the documentary? Who cares, but if this is what different kinds of clothes do for you then Stevie needs to hire someone to go out and buy her some more flattering clothes. She is radiant no matter what though. Lindsey on the other hand dressed like a scrub the whole episode. His shirts were all t-shirts and were stained and stretched out. At least Mick wore like, nice polo shirts. |
stevie doesn't smile enough!

Now I am a real heretic. I loved Stevie's outfits for the documentary, esp. the red pants and black top-I just wish she'd cut that hair! We short people (I am about an inch taller than Stevie) really look better in shorter hair-it adds to our height somehow and makes us look thinner. The long hair was ok when it was so much the fashion back in the 70's but that's old now.
Whatever I love her anyway but I do keep seeing mentally how cute she'd look with shorter hair...same basic style but shorter. |

God the dress debate has been going on for years, it never ends. Of course she would look better in something else, but she's very stagnet fashion wise, that's never going to change.

Oh - and I think Stevie did wear pants when they performed on the Today show last year. I remember noticing that! |
Stevie would pass out and die in those pants on stage. They don't look like they breathed much.
I'm sure the dresses allow her to air out and also allow her freedom! She looks like anyone would in pants who are not tall and not super skinny. I think she looked great! I like her hair too, it was flattering. I liked it better in the later part of the tour, really pretty too. Stevie can do anything and look gorgeous... As for Lindsey. I like the t shirts. It's grungy and I like that. He looks like a real "rocker" and a real "musician" where he isn't thinking about what he's wearing. That's Stevie's job. SHE is the poetic fashion plate and he is the serious rocking t shirt sweaty man! :) It couldn't be more right. |

So that is my little rant about why Stevie should not cut her hair. She should not look like a bingo-playing grandma! |
I don't really have a strong opinion about her hair, but I have thought for a long while that Stevie should retire the witchy clothes. She just looks like a caracature of herself these days IMO. I like the way she looks in the flowing tops and the pants...maybe a little off-the-shoulder action too!

She needs to rock the leather pants and accesorize with a pink boa. ;) |
I love her long hair. I also love when she has it pulled back or part of if pulled up. I wonder why she doesn't do that more often. It's an easy hair-do and feels good to have part of it away from your face... More up-do's, Stevie! :p
I love seeing all the different styles she wears. Some I like more than others, but it's the same in my own closet. I have faves' and I have the ones that only see the light of day if I am behind in doing laundry! |
Thank God this documentary finally gave us fans some new outfits to look at.. I dont know that she should retire the stage clothes...but she should unless she changes it...Her clothes on the dance tour were ok..these ones she wears sometimes now (no always) are a little awkward looking... If she's gonna wear those shoes with the dress, she's gotta wear a longer dress lol!
ANYWAY! It would be hard for me to adjust to rhiannon in leather pants.... Chris |
i do NOT want to see Stevie in pants in concert ever....i'm sorry. the "black dress" may be horrid, but she could do better with the dresses....i actually thought she looked good in the documentary when she first came in and it appeared that she was wearing just a plain black chiffon shawl-like top....it was very simple and just hung down (i'm not sure how far down)...there was no shoulder pads or anything else. i don't know if i even like that red shawl thing she's been wearing....it looks like something she would have worn fifteen years ago...too bulky....and i'm sorry, i like her better with bangs....i absolutely detest her straight boring hair....she needs to add layers or something....it looks much better when it's got some body to it...i just can't get used to it the way it is.
sorry, those are my opinions and i'm stickin to um! |
i forgot to add one more thing....the frankenreeboks aint cuttin it either....
i just feel that she could do a lot better with the styling. |
I love her hair now...I didnt like it in he beginning of the tour when she was parting in in the middle, it just looked like she had like a McDonalds sign on top of her head or something...
But I like the way she wears it now...the no bangs make her look more with the times.....and that's one of her best assets is her long hair ( I LOVE IT)...I think it makes her look 10 times younger Chris |
She mentioned in a 2003 interview that when they go on break she's having the reeboks done in suede...I hope she actually does this, they will look much better..
One of the main problems with them is they shine too much! Chris |

I understand if she can't wear those sexy boots anymore, but those mutant Reeboks are horrifying. Plus, everyone knows you don't wear sneakers with a nice dress. At least pants would hide those wretched things. For that virtue alone they get my vote. |
Suede Reeboks....now THAT sounds interesting!!! LOL
Dress, pants, I don't care....just give us something new and exciting and hip!!! And I might be the only one, but I'll admit it, I like the bangs better!!! I don't know what it is, but there's just something about this "do" that I don't care for...her hair's not looking as healthy now, or something. Parting weird. Oh goodness!! Go back to the bangs - get some thin ones. Stephanie |
Her hair just looks nasty to me. I liked it better on the Enchanted and TISL tours. The roots look like they need to be touched up, and she definitely needs to stop parting it down the middle. And it wouldn't kill her to cut it a little shorter.
I don't see her wearing pants onstage, but the only real problem I have is this dress. She didn't wear this on the Dance tour, did she? I think it isn't very flattering. |

Poor Stevie. I mean really. As much as I bitch about her clunkenboks and granny sweaters, she must really be getting it from all sides about her looks and costumes. Now that I think about it, the shoes may just be her big F-You to the entire lot of us. I do, for the record, think her comfort should be the utmost of her concerns. She's pushing sixty, for crying out loud.
What would I like to see ? I propose a one record, one tour radical departure. She was stellar singing with the orchestras when I saw her (singing At Last, When Sunny Gets Blue, Sunday Kind of Love, and a special arrangement of Landslide). She did an outstanding job with minimal rehearsals on those numbers. What I would love to see, in a few years, is a record of standards and blues torch numbers. All with a 60 piece orchestra. Plus, a limited tour, and full length video record of the experience. She could get all dolled up in vampy, film noir drag, pull her hair back and up (which she rarely does but it looks stunning), and go out there and stand still and blow the roofs off of a dozen amphitheaters. As it is, all she has to do is shake her skirt and we all have a heart attack. She could do this with a minimum of effort, and I believe the response would be remarkable. Anyone who has seen her perform in such settings is likely to agree. Is this trick a little shopworn ? I will concede that point. Ronstadt did it to the nines. Natalie Cole mastered it and was a great success. Even Cyndi Friggin LAUPER put out a standards record. That being said, I think it would be a fine artistic endeavor, and bring a different kind of respectability to her singing. Most people wouldn't believe that she could pull it off. I know she could. Furthermore, as she gets older, I say work that regal thing. If she really wants to play that royalty card, she could walk out there looking like Catherine Deneuve, stand there and sing with the control and grace she now has, and shock the hell out of everyone. Even just for a three night stand in LA. If only I was her manager ! |
I still say her hair looks much better without the bangs when she parts it on the side (like shes been doing since Sept 2003 i think) than in the middle

Yeah, could you see Lindsey trying to deal with Carson? That would make for some hilarious television! |
