I was listening to Hold Me (from the VBofFM CD) last night on headphones and at the very end of the song, there's this TERRIFIC guitar part as the song fades! I had to go back to it, turn it up and re-listen to catch it all. I had never really noticed it before, but it's GREAT! :thumbsup:

What lil things have you heard that maybe others have missed. Lil guitar parts or a bass part perhaps? A Stevie vocal that is really great?

I can't get enough of Stevie's "welllllllllllllllllllll" during the the last few seconds of the "Planets Of The Universe" extended album version. :D

I am addicted to the way Stevie says "Sometimes...she's an actress...but you'll ne-ver really know..." at the very end of Silver Girl. She doesn't sing it, she just says it. I love it!

Good choice.
(I suppose you'd also prefer she spoke Whassamaddababay, too.;) )

I like the piano high notes tinking near the end of Never Forget.

I like the way Stevie sings the word "passion" in Gate and Garden.

Nope, I can't stand that cheesy air-head tongue that she speaks in that song.

There's a very cool little riff at the end of Go Your Own Way on the DVD audio....havent heard it on the CD.

I have noticed the Hold Me guitar part too!

I like ending to Book of Love on the Mirage album.

I also love the way Stevie says "Like a diamond sna...kkkkke in a black s...kkkkkkk...y" in Destiny Rules.

I love how Lindsey sings the last line in Say Goodbye; it's beautiful. :)

I don't know if I can name little things that noone's missed, It seems like all of us on The Ledge are obsessed with Fleetwood Mac minutia!! :laugh:

However, I do love at the end of "To Steal Your Heart Away" when Stevie sings, "if that's all there is, if that's all there is....ooooh, to steal your heart away"..... That just gets me every time.

Also, on "Outside the Rain" at the very end as it's fading out Stevie sings, "oooh Outside the Rain".... as it trails off, that's one of my favorite little trail off parts of hers.

Also the Talk on the TOWN line in the RR I Need to Know. I love how she says "Solo!"

On the original studo version of "Eyes Of The World" there's a guitar part where Lindsey just does a thing like scraping the end of a finger nail up one of the strings. Can't name exactly WHERE it is, but I never heard it until my beautiful wife pointed it out to me one day about 4 years ago. All that time I'd missed it! :nod:

That drives me nuts. The best parts of many songs are always at the tail end of them.

One of my favorites is the guitar at the ending of Slow Dancing. It's not something that people might have missed, it's just a cool thing that I like :)

I love how on Go Your Own Way, on the line "Packing up, Shacking up's all you wanna do" Stevie breaks up the word do and sing "dew-who" instead of a regualr old "do".

I also love the ending guitar parts for Smile at You (the Chinese-y sound) and Destiny Rules.

The ah-aaaaah-ah-aaaah wailing after "go hooooome" in the Dance version of GDW. And the look on her face, like even she can't believe she just did that.

Yup! That's why DVD-audio is so cool. There's still a fade-out, but you can hear every note being played until they stop playing.

I thought of another one - at the end of Outside the Rain, when Stevie's singing, "somebody said....OUTside the raaaaain..."

I LOVE all of Liddy's background vocals on Everybody Finds Out.

I'm also quite fond of Stevie singing "no great pretender!" during "Angel."

I like how Christine sings "raain" in Morning Rain, and I Stevie's background vocals at the end of Never Forget.

I'll give one for Mick... in the bridge of "Why" he does a beautiful break with the drums, after the strings do the melody of the arrangement (dah-dah-dah, dah-dah) which brings the whole performance to the climax that is the gorgeous chorus sung by Christine & Bob Welch. I've always loved that little drum break. :)

In GYOW, my fave part is the drumming toward the end. :)

This one might be kind of obvious but I love when Stevie does the do, do, do's in Gypsy.

In Fall From Grace I love when she sings, "just to watch you walk out that door," and then the cool music that follows. I always crank up the volume to hear that.

Does anyone hear the laughter in "that's all for everyone?" Pretty cool.

I also love Stevie's ah's and oh's at the very end of Beautiful
Child.

There's alot more but that is all I could think of for now.

I also like, (from the same performance), during "Outside the Rain" when says, "Creature of the night it's been just about a week," instead of "almost a week." It's so smooth, that little change, she just slips it in there.

oh but wait, it's not from the same performance, it's from the B.D. video. Sorry! (I still like it though.....)

Yeah, that's perfect. It sounds like years of strain had just left him totally. Yeah, reading too much into it. ;)

It has one of John's very best bass parts too, in the verses.

Also, Lindsey's high-pitched scream in the chorus of "Hold Me" is a keeper. He may not be as expressive as Stevie vocally but sometimes he just knows how to strategically achieve great results with the most minimal things.

I agree about the fade-out sometimes having great stuff in there.

Songs that should go on beyond the fade-outs:

"Beautiful Child"
"Tusk"
"Book Of Love"
"Hold Me"
"Wish You Were Here"

Curiously, on SYW it sometimes seems like the momentum cuts off just before the track is completely faded-out. "Running Through The Garden" is the most obvious example. Now what kind of calculation that is? :lol:

I love the line in Second Hand News (all versions, but esp. on Rumours) when Stevie goes up a bit higher: "...I've been tossed around enough..."

On the Dance DVD, at the end of the vocals of "My Little Demon," Lindsey leans back slightly as he launches into the final solo.

To me, that is sexy. (go figure!) I could just jump into the TV and grab the man! ;)

During the fade-out at the end of Some Become Strangers, when Stevie sings "I think that YOU should do it..."
