That is freaking sad. But here is something that will cheer you up. Meet Stevie Nicks Lee. She's a Pomeranian and she's 5 weeks old. She will be coming home to live in about a week.

I love Pomeranians! :D

My friend David has a Pom named Winston, and he's about the cutest thing going! (Winston, that is... although David ain't half bad either. ;) )

Pisces Queen 02-12-2004 03:21 PM

LOL ~ you crack me up Johnny Stew. I love Pom's. Stevie has already changed so much since the pic was taken. She is all fuzzy and cuddly and feisty. Major diva attitude already. I hope she plays nice with the neighbor dogs. Their names are Madonna and Jewel and we know how Stevie feels about Madge :D

My dog was attacked by a murderous German Shephard and had to have stitches.

How cute is she?!?!?! I've been trying to talk my husband into getting a Boston Terrier. I want something around that size. we used to have a lab/shephard mix with aggression issues...if you don't mind my asking, how much do pom puppies cost?

I take it people are sad that the dog is being destroyed? But it has bitten 3 people already? It could be a child next time. I have a friend who's child was scared for life by a dog attack (mentally as well as physically) so I have no sympathy for this dog really. Cool name tho... the owners muct have good taste in music ;)

Yeah...it's just sad that the peopel are losing their family pet...but the dog obviously has issues...or thinks it's just being a good guard dog? I don't know...

I LOVE dogs...so that sucks...but mean dogs I'm not so fond of...a friend of mine's German Shepard mauled a little girl at a party once over a piece of cake...nearly tore the kid's face off...BUT the owner didn't want to destroy it....because it was the kids fault for having the cake  I thought that was bull...if you raise an aggresive dog you should be prepared to suffer the consequences....

The real issue is, What's the dog doing in the front of the house where people use the sidewalk? If you're a responsible pet owner & you know you have a dog that is vicious with strangers, you make sure that you keep your dog in a yard in back with solid walls or fences all around.

It ain't rocket science, folks. Dogs will be dogs -- some lick you & some bite you. But if the owner is so brainless as to let this dog out all the time so that it bites three people & counting, maybe we ought to put the owner down instead of the dog.

That's what we ended up having to do. We'd had our dog for 6 years when we brought our daughter home. So he had a domain issue, I suppose. He growled and snapped at her (she was 9 months old), and we tried to make it work, but ultimately took him to ASPCA to try to get him re-adopted. It was sad getting rid of him, but my kid comes first.

Aww that is sad....I had an experience years ago where my family got some mutt dog from some friends of ours who lived way out in the middle of nowhere, now what ended up happening was their dog was impregnated by a coyote or something....anyway, no amount of training tamed this dog and we had to call the pound after it bit a neighbor boy (who was throwing rocks at it) and then knocked my grandpa off a ladder and bit him etc....he was always nice to me so I was crushed (I was only 9 or 10 at the time) ...but now I know my mom did the right thing..that dog was a mess....

Yeah, I thought about that too....but the owner said the dog was always in their house or something....well...um obviously not...haha...
