Now what about the Lindsey one! I hope when they reported he was mixing Soundstage and putting an overdub for GYOW it wasn't for the FM one.

You mean you haven't also burned out on Stevie's Red Rocks DVD, the making of Rumours DVD, or any of the DVD Audios? What kind of fan ARE you? :D

DownOnRodeo 01-29-2004 08:02 PM

2 hrs.... Does that mean a number of songs will be left out? Or does that just mean they've edited the gaps out.

They probably will leave out some stuff on the PBS airing. PBS would be crazy and so would Fleetwood Mac, to air the complete DVD before the DVD is even released commercially. Why then go out and buy the DVD if you can record it from PBS. Consider this a long sampler. They will do like The Dance on PBS... where they condensed it, played the tracks out of order etc.

They'd better leave in Stevie's dedication of Landslide!

Fleetwood Mac's show is about 2.5 hours long. Less breaks it is about 2 hours 20 minutes. PBS will have about and hour 56-58 of air time for the 2 hour block. Sponsor, Intro and Outro will take up the other 2-4 minutes. What this means is about 20 minutes of the set will have to be cut. Depending on the song choices that are cut that would be 4-5 songs. No idea which ones they will be. Some other options are editing out Mick's 7 minute drum solo from World Turning, Editing some song spoken and musical intro's. Example, some of Lindsey's intro's or the percussion intro to Stand Back. I am sure a couple of Lindsey tunes will hit the cutting room floor, and I would think ending the show with Don't Stop and cutting Goodbye Baby, would be a logical option.

Don't worry if your favorite song is cut, PBS will be peddling a DVD in 5.1 during the telecast. Also that DVD will eventually be available to the public through retail for less money. Of course buying it through PBS will allow a portion of the proceeds to go to PBS.

Also do not be surprised if the songs culled from the two Boston recordings are released as a two disc live CD set at some point in the qtr of 2004.

NO!

The FM one is the season premiere of Sundstage. Why would they can a show that they sunk the money into to tape for public television???
