Is your name linked to Fleetwood Mac?

Is your name linked to Fleetwood Mac in any way? Like, is your name in a song, like Miranda or Sara? Or are you named after a band member (even if it is just a coinsedence).

Anyway, I know I am stretching it but My name is Christopher Steven. So my name is linked to both the female singers. Get it?

Christopher... Christine
Steven... Stevie

Okay, I know this is a silly thread! :woohoo:

Lala 01-29-2004 12:19 AM

I wish! How cool would it be if I was named after 'Sara'...although it would mean my parents are dumb and can't spell.

Hehe...oh well...it's still "my song".

littlelies7 01-29-2004 12:20 AM

Well...

My name's Lindsey, and I found it extremely bizarre when I discovered their music, to find a band member with my name. I thought it was the coolest thing!

From what my mother told me, she didn't name me after Lindsey Buckingham. She partially named me after my late grandfather.

DrummerDeanna 01-29-2004 10:38 AM

No, but a few years ago the people I was hanging out with a lot used to sing "Deeeeannnnna..." instead of Rhiannon, and everytime they hear it now they say they still sing it that way lol...

Siri Ruane 01-29-2004 11:00 AM

It's okay, we'll just assume you're keeping your maiden name, just like when you used to be hitched to Mr. Fleetwood.

My first name is Catherine :) I read Mick's Book (Fleetwood-My Life and Adventures In Fleetwood Mac) and there was a letter written to him by Stevie and she signed the letter Katherine. I forgot the last name, Mick said that she likes to use pen names. That's the only association I have. When I get home tonight I will look up the last name. :wavey:

I thought it was DeLongpre or something like that. Which kind of sounds like something to me.

WelshWitchPMD 01-29-2004 09:05 PM

Well there is no Patricia or Pattie. My last name has the same number of letters as Buckingham. Does that count? My last name ends in a vowel.;) however.

DownOnRodeo 01-29-2004 09:21 PM

Hmm let's see

My middle name is Peter - as in the guy who started it all. ;)

goldie 01-29-2004 10:40 PM

Well all I can think of is that I use to have a Yorkshire Terrier. Does that count?

That's it, Katherine Delongpree, or something close. The letter where Micks says she calls himn a cheap bastard.

Gee, Pattie. What something does it remind you of? Elaborate for us innocents.

Patti Boyd was Mick Fleetwood's Sister-in-law at one point.

It's a BIT of a stretch, but at least it's a connection:)

LOL. I did think of that actually but I wanted the so called Lindsey connection.

ryan8472 01-31-2004 09:47 AM

I can't think of any connections to Ryan, or my last name, Gates, at all. My middle name is Christopher however, as in Christopher Nicks  . Yeah, that's a bit of a stretch too. Well, there could be a subtle Christine similarity in there I guess.

ShamHy89 01-31-2004 09:55 AM

Nope, not one connection whatsoever!

Shamus:)

FiercestCalmSea 01-31-2004 11:40 AM

I am named for "Sara". My mom just thpught that it looked better with and "h",which is a moot point since everyone spells it wrong anyway :) She almost named me Rhiannon but my grandmother didn't want me named after a witch, lol.

HomerMcvie 01-31-2004 03:01 PM

My real name is listed in the recording credits on Law and Order;)

EricBliss12345 02-01-2004 07:10 AM

A C, O, W, and E are included in my first and last name. When you put those letters together with the others, you get Fleetwood Mac. COol! :D

RavenOfRhiannon 02-01-2004 04:57 PM

Well, my father's name was Steve, and he was born on May 25th. He was a country and western singer, like AJ Nicks. My sister's name is Sara(h). For years, I have tried to get her to drop the h. When she was in Junior High and rebellious, she had all her friends call her 'Angel' which was short for her middle name Angelina...

Randy

Carlene 02-01-2004 06:59 PM

Not really but...

My name is a variation of "Caroline," so that song I consider "my" FM song. She's so lazy... Yep...that's me!

On another note, I read that the big "Lindsey leaves Fleetwood Mac" blowout happened on August 7, 1987 --- which is my birthday (was that in Mick's book?). I also read that Christine's first performance as a member of Fleetwood Mac was on August 7, 1970 -- which is THE DAY I was born. Maybe Christine's debut was August 8.... But anyway, it's kinda cool.

dreams 02-06-2004 01:33 AM

No, not at all....

BUT, the city I live in is the birthplace of Edward R. Murrow (we have Murrow Blvd named after him) and the three-city area is known as 'the Triad' LOL :p

secondhandchain 02-06-2004 02:19 AM

You guys are scaring me now. LOL Richard as in Dashut.

Mari 02-09-2004 08:25 AM

My sister was born in august 1970, my birthday is christmas' eve 1974.
