I love Welcome to the Room... Sara!
Just thought I would share that with everyone, the best song from the Klonopin era!
|
I don't think it's the best song from those years, but I like it.

I always loved it too:wavey:
|
I love that song, too!! :D
|
Thats a good poll question...what is the best song from the Klonopin era?
LOL ~Alex |
Hooray. I hate it.
 |

well I am one of the ones that LOVE it!! I love her epic songs. I also think this may be one of her best Klonopin songs.
|
This song is like THE KLONOPIN Song...very dull and lacking of feeling...I hate this song

The arrangement of "WTTR...S" is good, but it could be a lot better. Could be Lindsey's "serious ego problems" in action again. Some outside reviewers who are not FM fans have said that this song "lacks a melody". I agree with them, but Stevie's performance still makes the song worthwhile for me.

My favorite Klonopin-era song is "Ghosts," especially the couplet "she depends on her music like a husband, and she knows that it's no good to fall in love again." Okay... so who is going to start a "Docklands" appreciation post?!?!? |

Actually, there are parts of that one that I quite like... but overall, it's not a favorite. The same can be said of "Welcome To The Room... Sara." There are things about the song that i really like... especially several of the lyric passages... but at the end of the day, it's not a fave. |
Docklands is one of my very favorite Stevie solo songs. And Street Angel is very close to being my favorite Stevie solo album. Docklands, Kick It, and Street Angel, and Destiny are all real favorites. But Welcome to the Room Sar sucks:laugh:
|
Favorite klonopin song? I am going to have to go with the whole OSOTM album. I love everything on that album and it is the only solo album where I don't skip any songs. But if I had to pick a favorite song from the klonopin era... Paper Doll, Alice, and Desert Angel come to mind.
|
Calling Welcome to the Room... Sara a song is an insult to real music.
|
I *LOVE* Welcome to the Room...Sara. I remember the first time I heard it. On the radio about to get out of the car to go see the Smithereens in concert. I sat and listened to Stevie sing on the radio first, and couldn't wait for Tango to come out.
I love the demo of it better. But I like the Tango version too. It has a comfy "bum, bum, bump-bump, bum bump" to it. ;) I am sure that sounds stupid....but you know what I mean. The little keyboard part. I love it. |

I do like this song. I agree it's not my fave, but I never skip it...

To sum it up,
Docklands..... Welcome To The Room... Sara Bad punctuation (shouldn't it be "Welcome To The Room, Sara"?), messed up lyrics, bad vocals... somehow I still like it. Far better than "When I See You Again", that is. So... Song of the moment - You Make Loving Fun |
I love this song as well. But I'm begining to think something's wrong with me because I don't dislike any song but Goodbye Baby.

Seriously though, we don't have to hate or even dislike anything, in order to be a "thinking," "objective," or "rational" fan. It's all a matter of taste... and if you get enjoyment out of all of these songs, that's wonderful and not at all a cause for concern. |
