What would you name Stevie's next album?

I know this is unfair since we don't know what songs will be on it, but do it anyway.
And just to increase the hardship, you're not allowed to give it the same name as any of her songs.;)
Finally, Christy, you're not allowed to call it "Don't Even Think About Recording Without Lindsey.":)

Here's a short list. I know there are minds far more creative than mine, so add away.

- Ancient Ways (She refers to her ancient ways in interviews.)
- Rock Priestess

That's uncharacteristically straightforward for her, not that I mind that. Better than Saga of the Welsh Witch, I suppose.:)

"Infatuation" because that was her idea for the name of "Say You Will" and I think it would fit her so well. I for one can't wait to hear what she has been writing during this tour. (as well as a mix of our favorite old stuff too!)

FineSkylark 12-27-2003 07:36 PM

I think she should do a self-titled album... Stevie Nicks' new album... Stevie Nicks. I always like that. Plus, I think it's a good time for her to do that. Like, yep, it's all me... All her songs define her. So I think self-titled would be great.

EnchantedSLN 12-27-2003 08:45 PM

From the Courier article... I can see the promo posters now. Stevie Nicks' brand new album, Coming May 2005: I'm Still Pretty Cute And I Rock. ;)

You are SO unreasonable!!

LOL

How about:

Legend (or would that give off an air of ego? Well, to get around that, she could write the album with a legend theme...like revolving around a character....perhaps Rhiannon or whatever. )

Storybook (Hey, her songs are stories about her life)

From a marketing point of view you're probably right. I prefer more creative titles myself, but at least yours would get her name out again to a new audience.

That title would fit well. IMO that's what Paper Doll is about, the fickle public's infatuation with her.
And I'm with you on wanting to hear some of the favorite old stuff included!

Fine with me, as long as there's no dedication to Juice Newton.

Queen of Hearts would be great!

The worst I remember was Street Angel. That release seemed to be pushed back every other month! And every other music store was claiming that they hadn't even heard anything about expecting an album.

All the Beautiful Worlds -- of which the title track is already supplied. :)

I don't know of exactly what it would be. I mean, it's rare that she would choose an older song as a title for an album, so it's most likely going to be a new one she wrote on this tour.

Then again, she could consider really making me happy and doing

It is ridiculous how long it takes them to do stuff. They should finish up the tour this summer, stevie can record a new album in the second half of 2004 and have the new album come out in December 2005. As long as it was a great album, I'd be happy.

But do you think that if Stevie rushed an album out it could turn out bad? I would think not, but you never know. How long does she normally take to record an album?

I am horrified that the concept of TISL was started in the the mid 90's and it never was released until 2001. Please don't let this happen again! Life is too short to waste so much time on one album...

Depends on who you ask.

TOSOTM was rushed out and it's an okay album, but Street Angel took four years and it royally sucks.

Honestly, I don't think we'll see a new album from Stevie until '06 and 2016 until a new Mac album (if there is one more to be made!). They all take forever to make albums.

Lady From the Mountain...

...of course, there's about as much a chance of that as there is to get a new album in the next year!

That is my favorite demo, so I'm with you that it's a good choice, but if possible, pick another that is not the name of a song.

I got this one Jake! Siri, you aren't supposed to use a name of one of her songs, even if it is just a demo. Those are the rules Jake set in the thread opener. If you do not read the first post, how will you know? If you do not read it, you cannot know it. Hehe. Can you tell, I've heard this demo. I have a feeling that most of the people around here have heard just about all of the demos there are.

Siri Ruane 12-31-2003 04:19 PM

Oooh. Sorry, guess I should read the opening post first. :p

I met someone who's heard it! Just made my day.
