I know there was a post about what you wanted to get, but here's one about what you actually DID get, Stevie/Mac related

I got:

Buckingham Nicks
Christine McVie CD (One of My Favorites:D )
Mick Fleetwood: Two Sticks And A Drum DVD
Nag Champra

What did you get?

Merf 12-25-2003 01:37 PM

I had several CDs I needed to get to complete my Mac collection:
Mirage
Out of the Cradle

LOL, I got the calendar from my boss yesterday. That was a surprise I certainly was not expecting it. That was about the only thing that I did not have too.

Now...it is actually spelled Nag ChamRA on the box??? If so...I gotta know where to get it, cause I've only seen Nag Champa...and I wanna know the origin of "ChampRa" in the song...

ANyway...if you're counting Nag lol...I actually got a really cool incense holder with a niftry cross hanging from a wire thing (it's hard to explain) and there are beads on it...it's very Stevie-ish in my opinion, that why my mom said she got it:D other than that, I got no Mac stuff.

The Chain 12-25-2003 07:45 PM

Ohh, I am so stupid:distress: It was Nag CHAMPA.... Sorry.... Oh well... It kind of smells good;) I thought it was Champra...:D

My mom gave me a guaranteed trip to see them next year...(airfare, hotel, tickets, and spending money!)...YAY! :D

Plus, I was switchiong my Simon and Garfunkle CDs in the car, when I heard "Gold Dust Woman" on the radio station....That was an awesome present!

I got something I certainly wasn't expecting. My cousins visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in October, and while they were there they bought this big framed thing containing the cover to Rumours on top and the original vinyl on the bottom. It's really nice.

xdreamsunwindx 12-26-2003 12:05 AM

I got mostly cash, so no Mac stuff. BUT- I heard "Bare Trees" on the classic rock station today and right after that I heard "Edge of Seventeen" on another station... That was awesome, I consider it a present :D. I did buy a lot of Mac stuff before Christmas though.

sara1998 12-26-2003 12:21 AM

"Santa" brought me a crystal ball with the stand like the one on the RAL cover. And my mom bought me a black shaw with the long frengies on it. They are both here in my Stevie Room....

Interesting, I think I will buy it just to see if it actually says champra on the box lol....

Anyway, since you are all counting songs on the radio as gifts..I guess I did get one...

I was sad because I had not heard Stevie's Silent Night AT ALL this holiday season....then I got into my car to drive to my uncle's on Christmas Eve, and was flipping through stations, and I got sucked in to some story on the Delilah show (anyone else get this show?) and after the story came Stevie!! I was SO happy, it really made my Christmas feel complete lol...

SuzeQuze 12-26-2003 03:10 PM

I got the Tango in the Night DVD :D

I actually bought myself my own Mac present. I found the tour itenerary from 97'. It's a spiral bound notebook with the cover of the Dance on the front. I should be getting it next week. I thought it'd be a really cool thing to own

That sounds cool Marissa, do you mind if I ask where you got it from?

GardenStateGirlie 12-27-2003 11:43 AM

E-bay. The bidding was almost over and I came in at the last second and was like, "oooh! I want that!" and bid. The guy owns a record store in LA and I guess he has quite a collection of a lot of things and this is one of them....

Fleetwood Mac 97' Tour Itenerary

I got The Dance DVD and Tusk CD.

I wish the DVD had come with an insert with information and lyrics and DETAILS and that the DVD itself had more options, interviews, etc., etc.!! I guess I'm just insatiable :) But I love it. I cried during several songs, beginning with Bleed to Love Her. I've heard it hundreds of times, but watching him sing it today on the DVD, it seemed like such a touching love song!

diamondsnake 12-27-2003 04:21 PM

I got two Fleetwood Mac calendars! People know me too well, so I guess I will hang one and just save one, maybe if I am really bored I can do something with the pictures. I am very artsy, so you never know!

I also got the two Stevie Nicks books "Lady of the Stars" and "Rocks Mystical lady", which I would have never got for myself but I am so glad I finally have them! They were a complete suprise too! I was so excited!

I also got a new Fleetwood Mac keychain in my stocking. The same picture that is on the rainbow shirt.

And this isn't exactly Fleetwood Mac, but I got an MP3 player which I have downloaded all my favorite FM songs onto. It is great! Maybe I will start being active and jog or walk now that I have FM music to go with me.

I did get one mystical, stevie-like thing and it was a beautiful celtic silver leter opener that I had been wanting for over a year now. I didn't think about it then, but I could see Stevie having one like that! It was my favorite gift.

And I treated myself to a few things the weekend before Christmas. I purchased four fleetwood mac records, all in mint condition, and framed them. They look great, so I am happy about that. I also got the Dance on cd, because eventually I had to give my Dad his copy back. I only borrowed it for a year or two.

Sorry I wrote a book here, but people are catching on that I love Fleetwood Mac more then anything, and got me some great stuff this Christmas!

Lala 12-27-2003 04:56 PM

I got exactly what I asked for...

The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac - I really like 'As Long As You Follow' and 'Sisters of the Moon', as bad as it is that I've never heard them before

Say You Will - It's even worse that I didn't have this yet but I'm 15 and have no money. I really like 'Say Goodbye' and 'Running Through the Garden' and pretty much the whole thing but it's so full of good stuff and I got other CDs too that it's almost hard to apprecaite it all right off the bat.

The Red booklet cd with the four extra tunes!
My favorite gift was when my best friend :) who
adores Lindsey, made me an unusually fine

The frame is nice and the pix is gorgeous!Sky

:woohoo: HAPPY NEW YEAR MY CYBER FRIENDS!:woohoo:

I got a turntable so I can listen to all of my Mac and Stevie LPs.

Speaking of incense and stuff, I have this really cool incense burner that has a silver heart on the bottom and it says "Wild Heart". I thought it was cool so I had to get it...

:p

I want one too:D

Well, my husband, as an anniversary/Christmas present, bought me several items from the It's Only Rock 'N Roll auction. He bought me a promotional flat from the 80s that has all the band's hand-signed signatures on it, a penguin that came off the side of one of their tour buses, and a ledger that has handwritten lyrics by Lindsey. My best friend gave me Peter Green's new biography, a "Sara" 45 with a rare cover on it, and the Rolling Stone with Stevie on the cover that was hand-signed by Stevie. I got way more than I was expecting, but it is really awesome to have such cool stuff to add to my collection. I'm really excited!!!!:D

Sounds like a lot of other people got really cool stuff as well! Seeing some of the stuff written above has helped me add to my list for things to ask for in the future.

:wavey: :wavey: :wavey:

nightbird034 12-30-2003 10:59 AM
