Ledgie/Firefly/FM Gathering In London 29th/30th November
 

Hi all...

Thanks to some input from Seteca I have a place for meeting up in London on the 29th. The place is Bar Cuba (11-13 Kensington High Street).
I'm told this is just a couple of tube stops away from Earls Court and if for some reason this place was packed out then there are 100's of other places along this road.

I'm suggesting that people meet there from 4pm onwards and then after a few drinks and maybe some grub we can head to Earls Court. A similar arrangement can be made for the Sunday night gig also.

PS.... I will also be at the NEC Birmingham gigs but not sure of a suitable meeting point there. So probably hook up with people at the entrance

DIRECTIONS TO THE MEETING PLACE
 

Please everybody note that the nearest tube station to Bar Cuba is "High Street Kensington", which is on the Circle and District lines. As you come out of the main exit of the station, turn right and walk for about 5 minutes (walk past the huge House Of Fraser building) and Bar Cuba is directly opposite the enormous Royal Garden Hotel.

p.s. Please note that on the link above, it says that "Kensington (Olympia)" is the nearest tube station and is "5 minutes walk". Well that's only true if you have rollerskates instead of feet. It's nowhere near the bar. Ignore what it says. Go to "High Street Kensington" station and follow the directions I've given.:)

...of you guys going! I lived in London for 6 months when I was in college. My tube stop was Earls Court so I can picture the area where you'll all be. I loved London. I almost didn't come home.

Have a great time and have a pint or six for me! :D

Ah scary environment...I'm usually on Neil's board.!! LOL!

Yep! Christy got here safe & sound!:) We spent the morning in Coffee Republic (I had to wake up at 6AM for her 7:25AM arrival time at Gatwick! Needed lots of caffeine...lol!) and now she's checked in her room and unpacking. She's gonna come round here once she's finished settling into her room.

Wow...me too...for six months during college back in 1980. My stop was South Kennsington. I even remember my old address, 54 Onslow Gardens. Sure wish I was going to be there again! Yes, I can picture the whole place.

There will be so many of us there I think we will need name badges!!! LOL!

It's cold, rainy and dark, but I'm LOVING the weather. LOL We had a VERY, VERY hot summer so this is different for me!

Now, I'm gonna go read the rest of the Ledge to see what I've missed.

Just sitting here while seteca makes the banner for Lindsey you will all see tomorrow!! HEE HEE!!

MFM, it's not rained the past two days (knocking on wood), so hopefully, the rest of the week (at LEAST!), it will be dry....and cold. I can handle cold, it's the frickin rain that gets on your nerves.

My mom tells me that it's in the twenties at home, so it's actually WARMER in London than Fort Worth, Texas!! LOL!!
