John McVie's Birthday and UK gig!!

It has just occured to me that Johns birthday is the 26th November when quite a few of us here in the UK will be seeing FM at the NEC in Birmingham!! Definitely must make some banners and try to get a birthday chorus going for him!!!!

He would be so knocked out. Good on ya!

Hey Pip! Meredith and I rocked the Lindsey birthday love (and wore Happy Birthday tiaras and had a sign..lol) and he and the band were definately into that. I say GO FOR IT! :nod:

Time for a plan me thinks!! I will be front row at that gig and there will be many others from Fireflies UK there. I'm sure we can sort something out!

Pip

Pip & the fireflies...

Birthday tiaras/crowns!!! Do it!!! We got SO much love for that and we were in the SIXTH ROW!!! :laugh: And make a sign too!!! :) You will get Johnny love for sure.

Absolutely...we can time it so we all sing it together....hopefully we can get the entire arena singing it with us!:nod::)

:wavey: :wavey: :wavey:

That would be awesome! I'm sure John would get a kick out of it! Need to choose a quiet moment....

Pip

We have started making the card for John' birthday...

One of the talented members of Fireflies also made this drawing of a pnguin with a John McVie Tattoo!! We have stuck this on the inside

And we will also have this on the inside and everyone is going to sign it!

Pip!!

That card is AWESOME!!!! Love the John tattoo!! LOL!!

BTW....EIGHT DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most likely Mick will mention it in the band intros, so sing it BEFORE then..that would be so cool!

FANTASTIC!!!!

:wavey:

PIP!!!! Honey, those cards are AMAZING!!! He will LOVE them,I just know it-- especially the Penguin with the John tattoo!!!

I can't wait to hear about his reaction!!! :) It's coming up so soon... I'm so excited for you guys :cool:

I'm sure he'll really like that Pip. I am so excited for you!

The card looks PERFECT!! Well done to everyone involved!:nod:

:wavey: :wavey: :wavey:

~~~What a great idea, Pip. I'm sure John will more that enjoy the card and all the attention - in his own quiet way of course.~~~
The Tattoo and Card are terrific.
I can't wait to hear about John's reaction.
I am fairly partial to John.
I love his quiet strength.
Very cool! I'm sure John will love it! :)
The banners
are next.....
I think we will make our presence felt...:) LOL!!
Might as well pick Say Goodbye... that's when everyone else decides it's time to yell. :laugh:
OMG-you guys are so cool-I wonder if John has ever got this kind of attention at any show. I think its extra cool because the rest of the band will know how big of FM fans you are if you do all that for John!!!
Cheers to you!
I painted a penguin playing bass on a sign that said "I <3 J. McVie" for the Knoxville show. He's my faaaavorite.
I'm sure he's gotten some love this tour. :)
It has to be said:
"Pip-Pip HOORAY!" :)
I think your idea is BRILLIANT, and it's great to see the master of the Fleetwood Mac bass getting some serious recognition. I LOVE your card, and think the "tattoo" is a total crack up.
You gotta line someone else up to take a pic of his reaction . . . and I sure hope the band has their camera running. Way to go!!!!
I hope your other project also works out, the one involving Christine.
I am so wishing I could "get on a midnight plane" and see these shows with you! You guys waited soooo patiently during the tours here, so I'm glad to see you aren't holding the good times back.
Have a wonderful time! :wavey:
