Margi Gets A New Design
We see no change in sight
Stevie wore her ratty dress last night She wears it up on stage She's done it a thousand times When Stevie dresses herself in the darkness It doesn't bode well in the light Mistakes of fashion that start out with Margi Usually don't make Stevie look alright I know you all agree (We've written these parodies before) I know you all agree I know she's pretty Last night she didn't look pretty She just looked matronly What can I say? You couldn't have loved it I didn't love it Not any of the time Anywhere it can... Anytime it can... Get thrown away, Get thrown away Maybe it's just something else That she can't tell us Maybe it's in the way that she Hobbles up onstage (Oh no, it's just her hip) It's not like that damn dress Has everlasting threads Well, we'll always know when it's back again My friend (repeat chorus) Oooh, we see no change in sight Watching her dress the same every time She gets up on that stage wearing it She's done it a thousand times When Stevie dresses herself in the darkness It doesn't bode well in the light Affairs of bad fashion sense start out with the hot flashes Or it may just be her crappy eyesight When everyone sees it, Plastered on her body She rarely gives it much thought She spends every day Waiting for the day When MARGI GETS A NEW DESIGN! DON'T YOU KNOW?! DON'T YOU KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW?! |
LMAO ROTFF!!!!
|
LMFAO that was good! In all honesty, you do bring up an excellent point though... that was supposedly a NEW design???   It reminds me of the Brady Bunch movie, when Mike is trying to make a new design, and he comes up with a gas station and a grocery store that are identical in design to his house, which was the only design he'd ever made. I swear this Margi has the Mike Brady syndrome!

SWEATERED ANGEL
I was born to design her So I know how to dress her Well, look up, dress by Margi Kent But it's black as night, no stars Well, this is the first thing that I've knitted Since I came up with that Stand Back cape And then her weight came down We thought it would make for some great hemming Stevie was free to show some leg But then something happened...with the IRS Something broke the bank...of her wardrobe Well, I live to sew...the same black sweater In the shape that flatters her form least On the hips that Lindsey B. calls...Paradise Valley Well, black has always been her sanctuary I'd leave new shawls for her, too There on the other side of the stage By her duster But she's stuck in cardigan No new looks, not new laces for you So where is their icon Where has she gone Why all the buttons They're really no fun Where is their Stevie Where has she gone What is it that's fashion here Is it real, this bore This can't be hip slimming Oooh I need to free you from your Miss Mary Mac wardrobe And you should know How much crowds want to Burn sweater they jeer Operation Sweatered Angel In waiting... Operation Dowdy Form Operation Sweatered Angel |

Worn-out, says the garment that I wear A reflection of an Italian widow All the way to my doom Worn-out - like it tatters I am a laughing stock From Margi's dress shop I like the shoulderpads I like the glitter... I like the way the fishnet blends Into the nylon, so right It's like wearing a goodwill bargain This neckline is ripping Like a designer With no new designs I'm alone now With my garment Of how we could make it through this tour Of how we could get out of those Ledge parodies What we've been through All of the drama The smell of my sweat-stains Shadow of a diminutive performer I will not take you for granted I wouldn't trade you for silk Or for cashmere Not for one red dress Not for anything I need you to be there Just remember when I am without your fringe That I was just so scared I'm alone now With my garment Of how we could make it off the worst-dressed list Of how we could get out of Joan Rivers' path What we've been through All of the drama The smell of old must Shadows of a golden shawl What I saw on this journey I saw the Ledge board go down I cannot pretend That the parodies fall away It's just like a bad joke Ooh, it's never ending I cannot pretend That my dress will make me sexy |
Dissention and Jake...you rule the world.

These are so funny! There was one the other day in another thread, which I can't find now that had me laughing so hard and I continued to laugh all day whenever I thought of the line.
BTW...if you've seen that fishnet up close...nuff said! Have either of you taken a shot with one of Lindsey's songs, could be just as funny with all his little quirks! Keep em coming  |

seriously, both of you should write comedy for a living. I can't wait till you take a shot at Mick, feel free to use one of Stevie, Lindsey or Christine's songs since I don't think anyone would know the melody to hum along to one of Mick's songs:D |
We wear all of our shirts the same
Every one will suffer the wrinkles we've made They all look just the same And there's no going back on the sloppy attire we've laid Steam-iron take your time Wait for the shirt to dry Soon all the bulges will rise (like in the Mirage vid... ) Steam-iron don't tell why Don't be afraid flatten Starch is the sweet surprise Only babies who are on their way Ever poison Stevie's well But we still have time to hate Before the sheds go on to sell (chorus) |
Until he himself...
Became the greediest bastard As he grew older Until he himself Became just as fatal As a Wal-Mart CEO... So you run toward... Where there is moolah But there are too many banks to pick from... With all the love that I have for your money With all the love that I have for your money Join my club! Never did I mean to fleece you In my fan club Like I have trapped many For the love I have for lolly For the love I have for lolly Get out your credit card! |

KNITTED
You think you look sexy I think you could look sexy Lose those long sleeves of Blacksweater that's too worn You remember your wild days Oh, in fiery sequins That tired black gown Making your ass look tired Making your face look sad It falls past your knees To embrace bland form You no longer care For what's new, but for what's torn You live in Blacksweater Like your Reeblechs and your Flathair You don't let go You'd like more stuff knitted by Margi Kent You'd like to be taken for Whistler's mother This look's lived through repeats You found Blacksweater at The Limited When the mall opened up Could wear less for hot flashes You'd think you'd had enough We want to save you But you just can't give it up You'd rather be wrapped up In a look overworn You're Blacksweater Addicted Woman A look forlorn And hemline goes down Chasing down the Reeblechs You think you must wear the Reeblechs |

Chest Hair Turns to Gray...
And now that its color has gone You will be sad for long But it'll find another hue Or maybe more to pass and fall away My chest hair turns to gray And try as you may You just don't feel good You don't feel alright And you know that you must find dye, find dye, find dye (This one goes out to Christy! ) |
It isn't just that my hair is limp and bleached
Everywhere we go now, in my bathroom or onstage It hurts my live picture shots, it hurts my press coverage I am reeling... ooh, it hurts my feelings Sometimes it was dastardly (sometimes it was dastardly) Sometimes it was too stringy (sometimes it was too stringy) Sometimes it's just too much for my flat-iron (sometimes it's just too much for my flat-iron) Well, I want to go to Vidal's (ooh, well I want to go to Vidal's) Then there are the fans that cast the doubt away Those fans that made me stay for so long Not limpy, fried hair then, it's fried and baked now I didn't cut my bangs then, but I cut them off now |
DRESSING THE BEST THAT I CAN/ESCAPE FROM BLACKSWEATER
It was once quite new...It was so comfy It did me entice...Makes me feel lovely So again it's worn...It smells like feces Flathair I part...I didn't curl or streak Maybe next time I'll think about what fans are seeing 'Cause I'm dressing the best that I can And the wrinkled sweater...buttons real high No nun's more modest...No nun could try Sweater stays on her...Like this look is law She thought she looked trendy...but her judgment was flawed I didn't grow or change...I just threw on ensemble But I reached in hamper for it and It's alright, Ledge Board, I'm dressing the best that I can And you're wanting me to change...I should have burned Blacksweater and ran Well, because clothes cost a fortune, and IRS won't let me deduct Well, it's alright, Ledge Board, even if my whole look is f;*#!ed I was stylin'...IRS almost locked me away So I cover my rear In same black all day In my Blackdress...Well, I wanted Margi to change me In my dress stagnation...I wanted so to change In my way...New duster was the only thing that I would now try on My sweater's black, Ledge Board, I'm dressing the best that I can Because clothes cost a fortune and IRS won't let me write off And my flowered soundcheck look gives fans nightmares...Nightmares from taking Blacksweater off It's alright Ledge Board, I'm dressing the best that I can Tom Petty says, "Well, I hear you're dressing like my granma, like the RMA is your own backyard." |
that's too funny...lol...although I for one think she looked nice the other night

I dont think I have laughed harder at any other postings! My favorite line was  On the hips that Lindsey B. calls...Paradise Valley:laugh: If only they were reading these. For some reason Stevie was totally put together in the pink and black leather pants at the Blockbuster Awards. Im not sure if Sheryl had any say in her attire that night or not, but whomever it was should be hired again! She looked amazing that night. She also had on very cool pants for the recording session that was photographed for the Say You Will posters.

You've dissed me now for not changing my clothes
And each time I do a show another part of this old dress Molds I refuse to go to the mall My hip is so sore I can't reach my knees And I don't think I can buy new clothes at all.... Baby one more time I need to wear this sweater And my batwing sleeves And I know that I I should be dressing better New fashion's not for...me-e-e-eee And the shows go by Changing none of my clothes (Margi) How many times Before it falls apart on me I wear this dress Each night when I sleep I even wear it in my dreams If I ever change my clothes For God's sake If I ever change my clothes.... And the years go by With these shawls and no more boots How much of this Can the ledge withstand Baby one more time I need to wear this dress But not the corset please Black dress makes me smile I'd like it glued right to me It's like a part of me-e-e-eeee Oooh-oo-oo-ooo Oo-oo-oo-ooo Old dress don't leave me.... |
Y'all just slay me! Now if someone would just slay that damn sweater & dress that Stevie's been shlepping all over the US, and no doubt will haul its tired ass self over to Europe too. Sigh. Could we just nominate her for "What Not to Wear" on TLC? Or you Brit fans out there could nominate her for that version of the same show over there. You know. . .it would make a great surprise for Stevie and could help her while away some hours while she was in Jolly Ole' England. Oh how I would love to see that dress & sweater thrown into a garbage can!!!!

OMFG!!! I love you guys...these are HILARIOUS!!! I am saving them ALL...hahahahahaha:laugh:

Dissention- BRILLIANT! Man! and i know that you love Stevie! but the 'ratty dress' line is so damned funny! All of it was.
I replied in long detail about Stevie's dress under another thread ("She Wore The Dress") and really gave it too much thought! You did it up right by coming up with these incredible lyrics! I'm still laughing :) Thanks! |
TOO FAR FROM LINDSEY
There's Blacksweater, it's still worn by Stevie Twenty-four hours more, it's still on TV And she won't take it off, and I can't stop it Only he can stop it Wears Blacksweater there, Kim Brakely's waiting Got Gypsy duster to wrap around her Only over NewBlackdress, what does she wear beneath Not same Blackpanties Maybe Blackthong would...ride far up butt crack Maybe one kick causes...another wedgie She says she'll wear all black, it'll be forever And change she'll never No change she'll never He's got a wife now, her name is Kristen The fact that she's pregnant gives Stevie heartburn Thrown down by Lindsey, cling to Blacksweater She'll feel no better Wrote him Blue Letter Does she know how long It took Lindsey to write the Come song Does she know she's dressed just like a mourner And that won't change 'til she makes Lindsey hornier Maybe her look was meant...to show she's sad now Maybe her love is with his young blond wife now Maybe she hates to be in her own bed now Too far from Lindsey Too stuck in black |

I took this dress, I wore it on 'Dave' then on Rosie, 2 award shows and on 'Today' And if they see my reflection in this dress one more time Well the backlash will be loud Oh Margi by design why are you dumb? Heavy fabrics on my hips make me look plump Can you sew something lightweight with a slim A-Line Can you handle making me some-thing really ni-ii-ii-ce? Oooh, i don't know...Oooh, i dont know Well I've been afraid of changing so i wear this dress all the time/ But the fans are complaining like thunder when its raining And I'm growing sick of this dress too Yes I'm growing sick of it too- I took this dress, i took it on tour Climbed off the Lear jet and put it back on And i saw my reflection in the front $150 seat rows and thought ' i can spring for a new one' And i saw my reflection in the front $150 seat ROOOOO-WWWWWWs and thought "well maybe....this black dress brings them...dow-wwwnnnn, well well, this black dress brings them down" (Lindsey and Stevie hug) 'Thank you Lindsey' 'Thank you Stevie' |
THE CARDIGAN
Alas she wore BlackCardigan The one that makes her old But when worn by Flathaired singer Her words become more bold And she in same tired outfit With tongue as sharp as knife Took on Brittney and Madonna And said Go get a life For Madge was well past forty And no longer in spotlight So Stevie told her You're too old Kissing Brittney just ain't right Now Stevie's on a mission Whenever she wears BlackFrock Her life is all about advice These days she's Mama Rock And that obnoxious kiss was real Not that Stevie meant to be mean But she'll speak the way she feels In this Entertainment Tonight dream And when next she sees Madonna Without thesis on religion Considers calling truce But then good taste will never win Now Stevie lives to crusade Speaks out for Artists' Rights Stands tall in Reeblechs or boot suede Though buttoned BlackSweater bites And she wonders Is she old Or will hip finally mend Are her words these days too bold Just like Natalie Maines', her friend These days her fans all wonder Will BlackCardigan disappear On an Ebay auction to benefit some cause That Stevie herself holds dear Today and still today it's worn Will it ever end From fashion icon to opinioned spinster On cardigan behavior will depend |

Here's another: Every thread that shreds on me I feel a little less dressed As my dress slowly fades away Ratty and moldy on my implant-free breasts Every night it comes onstage It's softness fades away Did I ever really wear that much Are there any bright sequins left? Every hour of bland I spend My body tries to cry Living through each packed arena An urgent call for style I haven't felt this way I feel Since I first had to have Margi peel it off me But in those years of excess weight I did not feel this dress was old And I did not throw it out, you now My love has always been So I plead to have another sewn So I can stay matronly So I try to say Thank you, hardcore Ledgies I'd like to leave you with something warm But lately I haven't been a fashion icon I have only been poorly dressed They were frail She said "Everynight I will break your heart" We should have known from the first We'd be the broken hearted But we loved you from the start Save us. . . And not all the prayers in the world-- could save us Ledgies from that widow's dress |
You guys are killing me!!!!! ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
   Eileen |
Thousand Dresses
The most you've ever sewn for me Was a mob widow's black uniform You sewed in the middle of the your sweat-shop You nearly squealed with delight "You need shoulderpads and fishnet." "Well, will I have glitter, too?" she says "Why do you question me?" Margi says, "You never cared about bad designs before, my friend." Seems like a thousand dresses you've made for me... Seems like a thousand dresses you've made for me... You're not my friend, you're not a good designer And this is something that we really don't discuss If there is no time, and there is no place. And, if there was, well, you'd sew holes to see my butt-cheeks And as all stilted clients do to you And as all ugly dresses will finally do to you, too Well, I should fire you Quiet now, Ledgies, just for one night Well, I know that you love to laugh And, oh baby, well, I know that you love to write parodies You live by the sight of my black garb and I live by finding a new designer to hire Ooh, such words to Margi over the phone "Just how many f*ckin' dresses are you making now?!" Well, I can see the trouble Jake and dissention are here today And I requested a new dress... |
ROFLMAO!!! Well done, everyone!!

'Stevie Nicks' unique ultra-fem, long, flowing, mystery woman attire ushered the show into the 1970s. From 1977 an ensemble of black silk chiffon and silk panne velvet designed by Margi Kent with a black leotard designed by Repetto and ballet shoes were Nicks' logo pictured on the cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" album. She was well-known for performing the hit "Rhiannon" in this outfit. After being suspected of involvement in witchcraft due to her black attire, she switched to wearing what she called her "Easter egg outfits" to quell such rumors. Such a dress of long, pink, flowing silk chiffon and velvet decorated with shiny thread and sequins from 1986 was also designed by Margi Kent. Nicks wore this with high-heeled pink suede boots that came to the knee.'

Just like the drab black dress
Binds my waist feels like I can't breathe Wheez wheez wheez Just like the funeral frock Frumps my frame Near suffocating Wheez Wheez Wheeeez And the tours go by Like a tape on repeat I get dressed again Said to my friends, baby "Platforms don't matter" I was no more......than 130 then Well I, wanted a dress Something from Margi And the moment That I first laid Eyes On It All alone on the dress form My drab sack Just like a uniform Waist too tight, strains my breathing Wheeze wheeze wheeze Just like an OCD I won't change Though the fans say Please please pleeeeease The ledge didn't expect it To be strange To see me Shunning colors Terrified of a change And so, moving slow Every show The same I clomped round with an age old Desire to hide From the fashioooooon Poooooooooolice OoOOooooOoooooOooooooooOOwawawawawawaaaaaa Just like the stale black bag And the cardigan with long sleeves They beg please please please Just like a nun in church With no white But a real bad habit Please style me And then suddenly There was no dress And none of all my shawls Just a flood of hues that I haven't worn Since 1991 in the fall Well I went searching for the blackdress up the stairs And down the hall Not to find the blackdress Just to hear the call Of some ledgies Screaming "Change your clothes ! Change your clothes ! Change your clothes !" Just like the IRS Squeezed my purse This waist is squeezing Squeeze squeeze squeeze Just like a Blackwell mess In the press Now fans are pleading Please, Please Pleeaaaase Well I hear you called up Margi And I hear you hassled Brakely Sometimes to buy dresses Is just like the...trauma of being arrested And cuffed This dress is damned near older than you Damned near filled with mildew I hear the call Of the ledgies.... And I say "Deeeepp in the middle of the night Sometimes I change the blackdress..." |
BLACKSLEEVES
BlackSleeves, pulled tight Oh yeah, they were pitch as night BlackSleeves, pulled tight She wore Blacksweater in the heat of a summer's day We hate Reeblechs, make her look like a schlep She wore Blacksweater buttoned up all the way We hate Reeblechs, her shoe taste is inept Same look, new night Oh yeah, it was an old sight Same look, new night She wore same look, Margi took her for ride We hate Newdress, it's the same as the old She wore same look, it's her new joy and pride We hate Newdress, Stevie, put it on hold |
CLOSET OF THE BLACK SWEATERS
As she walks into...the Closet of the Black Sweaters Stands by Crystal Mirror...in only look she could ever love And vows to stay put in her long black robe Would stay on her like feathers on a dove And if these sweaters are to be my punishment Kim would air them out on hotel clothesline And go each day...to the Closet of the Black Sweaters And spend each night in same Margi Kent design Wear same Margi Kent design And same black clothes...They're all I buy Doing nothing without them Matching ribbons on microphone stand So she goes each day...to the Closet of the Black Sweaters Stands by Blue Lamp...looks down from above And if I had to pay up...Well, just how much Must IRS take away? Anything, I love cardigan that much Oh I would give anything I love it that much I love it that much |
MARGI DUH
At the end of runway The end of the light She keeps one design for all Stevie's clothes Margi designs outfit with hips held too tight She's never done Designing same clothes She sticks the needle right into the black Anything to stitch skirt so both hips stick far out Hip causes her pain Boots add to the harm There's more for the count, when each dress wears out Margi Kent is taking our star down A dowdy sweater that makes the fans groan But the outfit is worn at every tour town Since Stevie Nicks wants just one look to own We see cardigan in another magazine And the hips are held tight as the fashion takes flight Won't dress how we loved In BlackDress she'll be seen She slips on the stage, hip's sore one more night Margi Kent is taking our star down A dowdy sweater that makes the fans groan But the outfit is worn at every tour town Since Stevie Nicks wants just one look to own And then all at once our hopes start to rise We hear Margi Kent designed a new gown But the next night same outfit appears, no surprise Stevie walks out to Tom, and all our hopes drown Margi Kent is taking our star down A dowdy sweater that makes the fans groan But the outfit is worn at every tour town Since Stevie Nicks wants just one look to own Spotlights shine down the black outfit Same old something for Stevie to own For BlackSweater is still worn by Stevie And BlackDress still holds real tight to hip bone Blackdress still holds tight to hip bone |
