Stevie is hotter this concert then the Dance, who agrees?

Anyone else think Stevie looks hotter this concert then the Dance? I think Stevie looks amazing this tour... Granted, I didn't see the Dance tour but I have seen the video of course.

I am just observing how I think Stevie looks wonderful lately! I love her hair without bangs, it makes her look great! She is hot hot hot hot!!!

Compared to the Dance, which period do you think Stevie looks best? I would say the Say You Will time period.... I just love that cover art... Stevie looks great on the cover!

DownOnRodeo 09-30-2003 09:09 PM

Well this is just nitpicking, but I think she looked a bit cuter during The Dance - because she was 6 years younger!! Out of the three of them it seems Lindsey has aged the most - and we all know why!

:] :] (<---- the mini-Buckinghams)

Meanwhile this is all about superficial appearance - as we all know, Lindsey has more virility, youthfulness and vigour than ever it seems!!! Definitely a 'fine wine'!

Is it just me or does Stevie (who needless to say is still as hot as ever) have more, um .... ample.... no, wait, how can I say...
Is she wearing a corset this tour?

mylittledemon 09-30-2003 10:41 PM

Stevie still hot?

No way. Stevie looked better back in 1997. Some of the pics I've seen recently looked like they had to pour her into her corset. Bless the woman though. I still love her.

Lindsey HAS aged a lot. His hair is all gray and his hairline receded quite a bit. I guess it's the kids.

Mick and John look the same as always!

diamondsnake 09-30-2003 10:51 PM

I don't get it. How can you guys say this... I really think she looks just as good if not better now compared to the dance. I guess it is all a matter of opinion but...

I guess I don't really understand these comments about corsets. Please explain!

HejiraNYC 09-30-2003 11:01 PM

There certainly is a lot of engineering going on to pour Stevie into that dress on this tour. Actually, from what I can tell, her so-called dress is actually a mesh bodysuit with pieces of drapy fabric sewn onto it. Still, she is still quite a stunning lady on stage. Truly a natural beauty unlike her silicone/botox/nip/tucked contemporaries.

Okay, is this so called "body suit" new? Because I saw them back in June and she looked amazing... Are there any pictures of what you guys are saying?

From the pictures that I see of the tour from NicksFix.com, Stevie has just been wearing a normal, button-up dress... a dress that looks quite lightweight.

Has she changed costumes since these pictures have been taken? I know some people have been saying how she gained some weight, so I don't know...

gypsysara 09-30-2003 11:58 PM

Stevie looks great. She looked great then, she looks great now. Only difference is she's aged some. But my opinion remains the same, "Im cute and I still rock".

ShangriLaTroubl 10-01-2003 12:02 AM

I think what they are referring to is the fact that from her waist up on her dress, it is like a corset...she squeezes in it...and u can see her kinda buldging out in the back of it...it makes her stomach look flat...the button-up top goes OVER the corset part

Chris

ShangriLaTroubl 10-01-2003 12:05 AM

I do think she looks great tho....much much better than the TISL Tour...i also happen to like her hair better w/o the bangs

CHris

DownOnRodeo 10-01-2003 12:11 AM

The reason I said corset is cause I was remarking on her bust :o which seems to be ..um, ...like Stevie... ....High and mighty! lol :o :sorry:
I don't know why I feel guilty talking about Stevie like this - the girls are always gawking about Lindsey's physique!
(But she's older than my mother dammit)

Johnny Stew 10-01-2003 02:55 AM

Physically, I think Stevie looks fantastic on this current tour... and based on the radio show a couple of months ago, she sounds fantastic too.

I am not, however, loving her current hairstyle.
It looks absolutely matronly, and isn't the least bit flattering.

(Although it did look better in the couple pics I saw from the Boston show.)

Sorceress 10-01-2003 07:02 AM

I think she looks a lot better and much less squeezed into her dress than she did on the TISL tour. She seems to have lost weight and just looks more comfortable than she did two years ago. Her hair looks healthier too, though she could still use a trim!
That said, I think the Dance was just her time to shine. She was absolutely radiant. She looks beautiful now, but the Dance wins for "hotness" factor!

dissention 10-01-2003 08:38 AM

Stevie's been wearing a corset since that late eighties, honey. ;)

Like Johnny said, I am NOT loving her current hairstyle either. It's gawd-awful. It makes her look incredibly old and it doesn't flatter her in the least. Stevie without bangs is like a hot dog without ketchup, you just don't do it. Personally, I think she should've left it curly like it was a few months back. Some people hated it, but I thought it made her look younger and skinnier. It had the same effect her shoulderpads did: it took attention away from her waist (which is why she wears shoulderpads).

Stevie looking hotter during this tour? HELL NO.

She looks tired and fatigued and bored a lot. Not always, but a lot. Now she's really perking up, though, on the second leg. I thought that during the Dance tour, she OOZED sexuality. The GDW performances from that era made her a sex symbol all over again, IMO. She was absolutely stunning. She still is gorgeous, but geez, she was a sexpot back in 1997. :D

cliffdweller 10-01-2003 08:59 AM

Hmmm

Let's agree to disagree on this one. Stevie looked fabulous during The Dance tour, loved the bangs, loved the outfits, and ESPECIALLY the platforms. Was she wearing her famous reeboks then or did that come into fashion during TISL? Anyway, the boots are the way to go, I know, they're uncomfortable especially when you're going through menopause I imagine.

:wavey:

ShangriLaTroubl 10-01-2003 09:07 AM

the reeboks showed up in 2000 during some of those shows...the New Years Eve shows (although she did wear some nice boots through part of those shows) and then at the AHI Benefit....and they stuck throughout the TISL Tour

estranged4life 10-01-2003 11:04 AM

I thought...

Stevie looked great on the TISL compared to the current tour...

I can't judge her on the Dance tour since I wasnt paying attention to FM then (Though I was always a Stevie fan moreso than FM...)

I just think her face looked kind of bloated during TISL...and she WAS sick a lot during that time....see attached pic :

there were just some very not so flattering TISL moments :

Now don't get me wrong...I LOVE STEVIE,all that, i think she's always beautiful...

But here's another example of her not-so great lookin TISL times..

Chris

gypsysara 10-01-2003 12:47 PM

LOL its a matter of opinion everyone!

Cause I think she looks nice in that photo...

You talk about Miss Stevie all you want, hon. The woman is/was/always will be a sexy woman, because of not only her looks but her persona and the fact she's very feminine.

Sometimes I wish my tomboyishness would die down and I could be more lady-like, but....huh uh, ain't happenin'.

ShangriLaTroubl 10-01-2003 02:31 PM

Oh well to me they are very unflattering, compared to how she's looking these days...but you're right that's just a matter of opinion...IMO her face looks bloated in those pics, and her hair is horrible...but you have to understand I'm not bashing Stevie...I think it's ok for Stevie fans to NOT always praise her....

Chris

Hawkeye 10-01-2003 02:45 PM

She looked THE BEST during Enchanted By Far. And SYW comes in second, with TISL by far the worst recent era for her looks wise.

I could not agree more! I do not care for the new hairstyle - it makes her look so much older. I personally liked the bangs from the Dance tour much better.

Her new outfits are not my favorite either. I do not care for the cardigan look.

But as far as her beauty - she is totally a natural beauty and always will be. The first two concerts that I saw them this summer (Pittsburgh and Philly #1), she looked pretty tired. However, at Philly #2 she looked much more radiant and rested.

I will love the woman no matter how she looks, so even though I don't care for some of the new styles, she still is fabulous to me!

GeminiStar03 10-01-2003 04:17 PM

I think that Stevie looked good in that Letterman pic and the one with Chris Issac...I don't know, I guess I don't think that there was anytime that Stevie has ever looked bad...I mean, it's not like she's going to look like a portrait everyday--we all have bad hair days and just flat out bad days...I'm sure that Stevie is just looking tired now b/c of what she's going through physical wise, it's not her choice that's she's getting older and no longer going to be getting menstrual cramps(damn u! LOL!)...It's the menopause, poor Stevie--I sure as hell hope she doesn't act like my mum:distress: Anyway, I don't think that Stevie's hair makes her look old--I think she's bootiful:p During The Dance she was of course really pretty then too but I think she was laying off on the make up more, it seemed as if her face looked more flesh toned...I don't know but we all know that she's gone through a lot and she's just one great person that I can not really find anything wrong with--except her views on Clinton...*shivers*

Johnny Stew 10-01-2003 04:34 PM

I have a school photo of myself from 5th grade, that looks JUST like that pic of Mr. Rogers!
I should find it and post it.

Ironically, "Mr. Rogers" is something I used to get called in school.
That, and "Shirley Feeney" (I was a "goody-goody")... as well as a whole heap of things that aren't appropriate to post here. But that's another story.

petep9000 10-01-2003 06:02 PM

i actually thought I caught her at Jones Beach during the TISL tour with her platforms, not the hideous sneaker-y things she is sporting now. And these made their debut in 1989 during TOSOTM tour. As for hotness have to agree with several of the points raised here. She was definately more attractive (in my opinion) during the 1997 shows, the bangs are much much more flattering to her and make her look younger and less drawn out. And, she did appear less animated on this tour. I think the corsets do indeed cinch her waist to give her a more attractive bust and curves in waist, whether this is absolutely required now considering her weight loss since mid-nineties is unknown but she probably happens to like the style. If the shoulder pads come back again like she was wearing during TOSOTM, BTM, and Timespace tours then we'll know for sure she's hiding extra cargo.

LMAO!!

Stevie looks really great on this tour, as beautiful as ever. She obviously doesn't look like she did during the '76-'79 tours...(the look/stage body language which makes me drool everytime I see her from that era..:p)..but that's called the difference between being 20-something and being 50-something....(and the fact that I myself am 20-something!). Generally speaking though, she is one of the most naturally beautiful women I have ever seen, and that's an attribute that age can never take away.

Not to me. She looked a little better in 1997 because she wore her platform boots & her more traditional Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac costumes. I really hate those Reeboks. Those are by far the worst item of clothing she's ever worn onstage. For unattractiveness, they beat out even the shoulder pads & the gloves -- the Mae West getup -- of the "Mask" & "Timespace" years.

I mean, we can send folks to hit golf balls on the moon, but we can't create more attractive footwear than those Reeboks to make Stevie taller while keeping her orthopedically comfortable?

If that story is true about her walking in to the first Mac rehearsal this year wearing those things & the guys all busting out laughing, I am forever grateful to them.

I think the other part of the question was about when we think Stevie looked her best. I'd say at Cal Jam 2 in 1978. She didn't look like anyone's doughy big sister in those days, which fans seem to really dig now. She looked like a kick-ass rock goddess: the kind of image that was possible only in the sybaritic 1970s.

GeminiStar03 10-01-2003 08:19 PM

Arg! What a$$holes laughed at Stevers? OoOoOoOo That pisses me off! When was this? Poor Steves, she must have felt bad if that really happened...I just look at the Reeboks like this, if that is what she is comfortable with then so be it...She's older now, has bad ankles prob from wearing those high platforms and she just wants to hang loose...hehe...She's adorable!

ShangriLaTroubl 10-01-2003 08:29 PM

Oh I definetely agree...she is so beautiful...I for one am glad she hasn't had all the plastic surgeries and things...she looks great how she is...I do however think she looks better now than TISL, but not as good as TheDance/or Enchanted...maybe her being sick during most of the TISL gave her that look to me...i dont know

Stevie lived in the ancient and extinct city of Sybaris and was, therefore, a Sybarite, sybaritically speaking of course!!!!!!

  ;)

The Catdancer 10-02-2003 05:34 PM

Is it me or did Stevie gain a little weight during this tour?

As for the Reeboks.... if she's comfortable in them and can dance more, why not?!

As for the rest of her appearence ~ she'll always be beautiful to me no matter what she wears.... Reeboks, boots, slippers. I bet she'd even look great wearing a garbage bag LOL

I don't think so, Debbie. :D

I was front row in Boston right under her mic and she's tiny, IMO. Very short and very trim. I think she lost some since TISL actually! You'll see when you see them live hopefully!! :D

That is a wonderful comment.:)

It seems now everyone is into the "no bangs", whereas at first everyone wanted them back! I think the bangs looked nice when they were styled a certain way, but a lot of the time I think they were too thick and her hair was usually parted unnaturally far over to the side. I think in those circumstances that look aged her. Her hair looks more natural down the middle. She had that same look with the bangs for over 6 years anyway, so it was time for a change. I really liked the frizzy hair she had in a lot of the SYW photos too. I love the straight hair, but I think Stevie looks beautiful with "big hair"!

Than it's me. I thought she had gained weight judging by the pictures taken at the beginning of the tour and pictures which are taken now. But I believe you, being so close to her. And I can see for myself when I'll see them in Germany on Nov. 13. Another 5 weeks and 3 days to go..... I can't wait!!!!!!!!
