Holy Front Row In Philly, Batman!
My mind is still a total blur...not really sure what the hell occured last night but I can tell you that Fleetwood Mac was on top of their game once again and seeing the show from the front row pressed up against the stage next to Lindsey's mic (in between the speakers) is a whole different experience that I want everyone to have at least once.
Lindsey amazes me. He really truly does. And yes, he is a beautiful man. Wow. Watching his hands move across that guitar at high speed is just...wow. It really is amazing to watch. He just rocks. I got some looks as did my friend Meredith to the point where we had to look away because it was getting a little freaky. If you've been there, and even if you haven't, you probably know what I'm talking about. He launched himself ontop of me during GYOW, breaking my camera (i only took 3 pictures to finish the camera but now i don't know if it'll even develop), throwing my cell phone across the floor (sorry Chris! You were tossed by Liddy Buck!!!) and steping on my tourbook...I wasn't prepared for that AT ALL. I knew he did that but It was with some serious force. My face must have been priceless because Mindy and Sharon (yes, Mindy, still very pregnant was there which I was *SO* glad about because Mindy rocks) had a nice laugh...when he walked away I was still laughing my ass off as were they. He literally jumped onto the platform and looked at me and Meredith to play and I said "OHMYGOD WHAT DO I DO??!?" Duh, Marissa. Breathe and play, assface. So, I began to pluck and then hands galore surrounded me. Later in the show, I asked him if he would sign my tourbook. He came back out and did so I said thank you to him and he gave one of those classic Buckingham smiles *dies for the 80th time that night.* Stevie looks BEAUTIFUL. I had a good laugh at the fact that she wears fishnet stockings and you can see them underneath the little black stretchpant things she has on. The reblechs were in full force last night and there were many Stand Back spins. I can tell you that there was absolutely NO Lindsey Stevie interaction in the beginning of the show and as soon as Kristen and the kids left, it was back. Take that wherever you want to take it but that's what happened. Stevie seemed to be trying to get his attention during SYW (with her little lasso above her head as she sang "If I can..get you to dance" too cute). Kristen came out with kids in tow into the audience when the show began and stood behind me and down 2 seats to the right and ploped them on the chair so they could stand and see daddy. I turned around and smiled and got a look so I said, ooooookay, i'll be turning around now. The kids are ADORABLE and Leelee is hardcore into it...Will, not so much. They stayed in the audience for a few songs then Leelee climed onto the stairs on the right hand side of the stage and pounded on the floor and stood up and clapped. She may be a better drummer than Mick. Lindsey smiled and her and pointed and she would kind of lay there, then stand again, then sit. She evidently knew some of the words to Beautiful Child because she was singing for a little bit. The kids dissapeared before Come and then they were not seen again. Stevie did change lyrics again in Silver Springs and during Beautiful Child she did her "I's" (which I *LOVE*) and added her "I still..love you..." part which was really beautiful as well. I had to laugh at Sharon Celani because she seems so disinterested in what Lindsey does. When he was doing his Stand Back tribal dance thing and even when he unpluged the guitar and was swinging the cord around and then threw it (I backed up because it was heading right for me and Meredith) she had this look on her face that was like, "are you finished yet?" Tusk was hysterical. Lindsey ran over to John and tusked him then he and Stevie put their hands up, circled each other a few times and then slow danced as Lindsey put head onto Stevie's neck...It was very cute. Final thoughts...this woman behind me asked him for his guitar pick and Meredith and I turned around and said to her, "HE DOESN'T USE ONE!!!" and he held up his fingers to her and wiggled them and I said again "He doesn't use a pick!" And she was like, "oh my god are you serious?!?!" He found all this amusing. I had bought something with me that I received from Stevie and Barbara a few years back and held it up as Stevie walked passed. She looked and saw me holding them up and said, "OHMYGOD, WOW! HI!" Again *dies.* People around me patted me on the back and were like, OHMYGOD, SHE JUST TOTALLY SAW YOU. I'm missing much in this review, I know, but my mind is still a total blur. I still don't have tickets for NYC or DC but we're going to be there. Last night was crazy.....Fleetwood Mac IS back. Full force. An amazing group of people with amazing talents. I don't know if there is anything left to say... |
Ooooooh, Marissa!!! I'm so glad you had a great time! I found it rather funny that the kids left before Come...not age appropriate? LOL He must've wanted to get to you really badly, huh? Broken camera and everything. Glad you had a good time :D
PS: Alias ROCKED last night! |
Nice job, Marissa! But Mick lied! He told US at B-port that was Mindy's last show. Glad you got to see her, though.
And what on earth did you get from Stevie and Barbara??? At B-port the kids popped up during Come, with Leelee banging to the beat. I bet she's the more adventurous of the two kids, and Will's more serious. LOL |
Great review, Marissa!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Marissa, how cool!!!! I am so psyched at how LB plays the crowd, it is truly amazing.
I don't have tix for tomorrow night either but we'll be there! I'll have my 11 year old daughter with me. She has this cool pastel tie-dyed Stevie shirt she wears to all the concerts. If you see us, say hi! :wavey: Eileen |
Is Kristen at all of the shows? What a bummer, she totally sucks out all of the Stevie/Lindsey vibe. I bet the kids are cute though. Thanks for a fabulous review! It sounds like they're picking up steam this leg of the tour, makes me sad that I won't be able to go to the Texas shows! Booh-hoo!
:wavey: |
WOOT, WOOT! You did me proud Marissa! *tackles* I am SO happy you got that experience... I'm crossing my fingers that Thursday's show will be just as amazing for us!!! I can't wait to see you guys!! Holy Liddy's Birthday Celebrations, Batman!
~Meredith xx By the way, how freaking cute is she??? :D Quote:

LMAO!!
GREAT review girl!! LeeLee is the outgoing one and Will is the shy one apparently! I remember seeing her in Dallas when she was on the stairs and Lindsey came over to sing to her and she wanted to go onstage SOOOOOOOO bad and she had something on her ears. She kept getting pulled a lil by Kristen but you can tell she wanted to break loose!! LET HER LOOSE!! LOL
COME ON NOVEMBER, I want some of that Lindsey front row lovefest!!!!!!!! :blob1::blob2: |
Leelee stood up on the stairs at Bridgeport and I tried to send her a telepathic message LOL. I kept thinking, "Go onstage, go onstage" because really how cute would that be if she just wandered up there? Will looked bored. That's funny that Kristen had to hold her back....but it didn't seem like Lindsey acknowledged the kids at Bridgeport's show (unless someone closer could fill me in).

Will and LeeLee- typical first child/second child attitudes. The first child in the family seems to be more reserved and timid.. and the second child seems to be the outgoing one in most cases. |
Awesome review! I can hardly wait til they come back to California. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for front row seats.

Best hangup I've ever had... I'm sooo happy for you Marissa. Front row is a totally different concert going experience. I hope we all get to do it again soon.:) |
Marissa... AWESOME review! I am so glad you got to experience front row! I'm sorry to hear about your camera, but at least you got a good story out of it.. hehe.
I am so excited about tomorrow's show! I hope to see you there.. good luck with your tix and remember to come and find me. :) Michelle |

Maybe she doesn't want to make eye contact/be too friendly with the fans when the kids are around because: 1) she doesn't want them to get used to being fawned over and wants them to be as normal as possible. 2) the mini Bucks are still little and L and K might be trying to teach them about strangers. Us fans would never mean harm to the kids, but if a real stranger was being nice to them, it could trick their minds. 3) they are there to see their daddy at work, not socialize with the fans. Just my thoughts! |

I hope things work out with Jana, I think her vocals REALLY add a LOT to the show. Her contributions are especially fantastic during Peacekeeper, IMO. :D

Hey!
Nice review....front row last night was amazing, but I am soooooooo tired today! Now there is the stress of getting up to the front row tomorrow night too!! Our broker has not pulled through yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. Little Leelee is SOOOOOOOOOO cute. She has rhythm and was rocking out the whole time she was up there, unless she was lying down with her chin resting in her hands on the top step.....so freakin cute. Oh and my roomie and I got Lindsey's sweaty towel after Micks drum solo!!! We cut it in half....my boyfriend thinks its really weird that I am psyched about an old sweaty towel, but I think its pretty damn cool. Hahaha. Kristin P.s. I do wonder why it is that Kristen is so UNFRIENDLY?? She seems so snobby and not welcoming at all to ANY interaction with the fans. |
Kristen
Cut the woman some slack, folks.
If she has ever had the opportunity to get on the internet or has been around anyone on the internet--she knows some of the lovely things fans have said about her. Frankly, I'm surprised she and the kids are as "out there" as they are. And yes, the majority of us would just love to be friendly and have her join in on the fun but I don't blame her one bit for keeping a bit to herself. I love the Stevie-Lindsey interaction as much as anyone, but there have been some nasty/scary things said about the woman Lindsey chose as his wife and mother of his kids--so I wouldn't expect her to want to come out to "play." I was at Bridgeport and Philly and saw tons of Stevie/Lindsey interaction with them in the audience and when they left (and I was front row, too--so I did have full view); I saw lots of women and men in the audience having as much fun with Lindsey as they wanted (with outrageous displays of open flirting) with no flying frying pans coming from Kristen, and that's all you can ask for as a fan. I came to see FM. Saw them (in glorious, full-out performances)--got bonus glimpses of LB's adorable family and that's it. |
Besides the reasons I listed above about Kristen and the kids, I think we have to remember that she's not the star here. She's at the shows to support her husband and his friends. She didn't ask for the attention. We aren't HER fans. I'm sure she's not being blatantly rude (and yes, I've heard all the stories that she is and isn't rude), but she probably just doesn't want to be bothered. I know when I don't want to be bothered, I'll pretend I didn't see people that I know when I'm at the grocery store, the bank, the gym, etc. It's her right to acknowledge people or not.
EDIT--Regina, you must have posted right before me! You said it very well! |
Like Regina said, Kristen has had some nasty, downright vulgar things said about her. If she doesn't feel like interacting with the people who slander her, that's her right and I completely respect it. My heart goes out to the poor woman, honestly. She married the man that she loves and the man that loves her, they have had beautiful children together, and have a close bond as husband and wife. "Fans" have gone to extreme lengths to put the woman down, calling her ugly, a child, a bimbo, a goldigger, and someone who forced Lindsey to marry her. Those thinga are pathetic and the people that say them are even more pathetic. However, it's mostly people that dream of Stevie and Lindsey getting back together who say such awful things. These fans should give it a rest and hang it up. They're a cute couple and I'm sure Lindsey wouldn't be too happy if he read some of the things people say about his wife.
But it wouldn't have hurt her to smile at you, Marissa! Yours truly, Snotty Applebuns |
I honestly doubt that she has any idea about the things that fans have said about her. I can't imagine that she would be searching on the Internet about how the fans felt about her. She didn't even know about Stevie when she first met Lindsey. Anywho.....I agree that she can choose to keep to herself if she wants.....what I am talking about though, is the fact that she won't even crack a smile, or how GardenStateGirlie said that she got a glare when she turned around to smile at their adorable children. That seems sort of unneccasary, don't you think? I don't know.....just my point of view I guess. My friend gave her a smile at one show and all she got back was a blank stare. Just seems sorta cold is all.

Great post, Regina.
Lindsey's wife need not even read the Internet to know some of the awful things said about her, as I know of a few instances where some pretty crappy stuff was said to her in person. With that kind of thing going on, she's entitled to plenty of slack. |
Maybe she doesn't smile back because that can lead to someone coming up to her asking to go backstage, for an autograph, etc. Maybe she just wants to be left alone? Maybe she'd prefer people to not recognize her (although it's getting pretty hard now that we all know what she looks like) and make a fuss over her when all she wants is for the fans to watch the band, not her.
As a common decency, I wish she had smiled at you, Marissa. (Was her first mistake NOT to smile at you?? LOL) But she probably has reasons for these things that we don't know about. |
Yeah...
We don't KNOW her as a person and no, she's not been the most accomodating spouse of a celeb, but like Les said, there have been things said to her in person, I'm sure she was hurt by it and Lindsey probably was too! :( If someone yelled things like that at me, I'd be cold too. Maybe someone should yell out "Hi Kristen, how are you?!" and MAYBE she'll smile or say hey back. Just a thought.

I'm glad you guys all had a good time -- I sure did. I was a few rows behind you (11th row, section 2). I was shamelessly yelling Lindsey's name and I have no voice left today, LOL!
I think they were even better than they were in May! My ultimate fav was World Turning. I'm so glad we had a good section. I actually stood the whole time, but wasn't brave enough to push my way to the front. However, I DID get a look and a finger point from Lindsey, which pretty much made my whole YEAR!!!! Such a great show, just with I could have it on video to keep forever. I guess I'll just have to make due with the tons of souvenirs I got. The bag for all my stuff was embarassingly huge, LOL! Do you think they'll come back AGAIN??? ;) I'm ready for another show!!!! go6car |

Jeez, it's amazing how quickly this thread spun out of control. Sheebus, people! The girl just wrote an extremely thorough review for the benefit of all of you who read it! Give her a break! Marissa, I love you muchly, too. :xoxo: |
Perhaps Kristen isn't comfortable around female fans because she knows we lust after Lindsey, lol? I smiled and waved at her myself in Chicago in June (nice person that I am, lol, but I felt sorry for her since she had to stand there while everyone screamed at Lindsey, and I was trying to be polite) and received a glare as well. However, this was right after I had screamed "YOU ROCK LINDSEY!" and fawned all over him, so I seriously think a possible explanation for her antipathy might be the fact that she knows most of us ladies want her husband. Have any men had unfavorable enounters with her? Just a thought.
