Soundstage
 

The Club pulled one off for the members... they have held 84 seats of the 300 person Soundstage for Club members. My email went to a Spam directory because of the subject line, so I wanted to make sure everyone knows. I'm told that there are more great things like this in the works for Club members, but this is a very good step toward realizing the benefits of being a Club member. Kudos to the Band management and the Club for this great chance to see Lindsey and Stevie in this intimate venue for free.

WIN TICKETS TO SEE LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM TAPING A PBS TV SPECIAL

As you may know Lindsey Buckingham will perform September 15, 2003 at the
WTTW TV Studio in Chicago. The taping will be in front of an intimate
Audience and it is expected that Stevie Nicks will make a special guest
appearance for a song or two. The show will be a part of the PBS
"Soundstage " series and will be broadcast nationally at a later date.

In keeping with PBS practice, a number of tickets were made available
locally through PBS Chicago affiliate WTTW in return for a subscription to
the local affiliates pledge drive. However, the fan club has secured a
limited number of these tickets, including seven pair in the front row,
seventeen pair in the second through fourth rows and eighteen pair general
admissions, specifically for fan club members FOR FREE. You will have the
chance to win a pair of these tickets to experience this intimate
performance. We will hold a random drawing for these tickets on Monday
September 8, 2003 after 5PM Pacific Time.

To be eligible for a chance to win a pair of tickets for this special
event, simply send your NAME, CLUB USER NAME and YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER to
[email protected] with ³WIN LINDSEY@PBS CHICAGO² in the Subject Line.

The winners will be announced in an email blast to all members on Tuesday,
September 9, 2003.

this performance, the FAN CLUB will PURCHASE your tickets back from you and

Wow. Let me make sure I have this straight. After (PBS) selling tickets for $325 and assuring people that there was no reserved seating, the Fan Club has decided to "randomly" pick who is going to sit in the best seats in the house? Why doesn't this make me feel warm and fuzzy inside?

Everytime you think they can't make this experience any worse...
 

Let's not forget that the people who win will barely have a moment to book a flight which would mean that they would only be eligible for the most expensive fares.

That aside...


What the hell would someone from the fanclub do who bought the tickets and now has to eat them or try to find someone in Chicago to give them to.



As for the seating and the way this was done. everytime Jonathan Tood get's near something the fans get screwed. While it would be great for someone to win these tickets, how many people can rearrange their schedule on less than a weeks notice and pay for a full price airline ticket and hotel costs.



Maybe the people who bought the tickets should be calling the station and making some major complaints and the people from the fanclub can sit in the rear...after all....when you're lucky enough to belong to the FLEETWOOD MAC SCAM CLUB you know you're going to have the worst seats in the house.

What about those who don't belong to the fan club and have already purchased tickets and made travel arrangements?

I agree that it would have been nice to give more notice so arrangements could be made in advance and for less money to get to the taping...but I still think this is a really cool thing for the fan club to do.

I hope some people from the Ledge get free tickets!!

The fan club said that it will buy back your tickets if you win and provide them to another member.

Now, you guys tell me. A club that cannot answer the simplest to hardest question, who has abused the fans, insulted them, taken their money and given them nothing in return, now they have the wherewithall to provide these seats and do all this in this short period of time?

I cannot wait to hear how this one goes off. Cause JT is firing the gun. God Pix loves his boss. He is just drooling and carrying on. What is he gonna do when the hiney he kisses is not there anymore? Well, I guess we all have some suggestions, huh?

Bet you a dollar to donuts that the fan club had little to nothing to do with this gift. I think that I know who did.

I hope that lots of great fans are helped and I hope that it is all for real, but, I would not bet nor hold my breath. Too many bad vibes, scenes and troubles from this club.

No doubt... I hope ALL tickets go to LEDGIES... then I can make FREE tee-shirts for them saying:

After everything that's happened, who really believes JT's behind this act of generosity to the fans? I'm with you, peace. I feel it's being done in response to the outrage against the fan club, but my thanks goes out to those listening and taking action.

All I can say is, where was this kind of bounty when I was still a member of the club? ;)

I don't, gazing into my crystal ball, see any of the more outspoken Ledgies coming up a winner in this.
I'm really warming up to the idea of Stevie making another solo record after this and touring to promote that.

I got this message last night, and considering how "accurate" and "timely" this organization has been with info.......

I don't believe a word of it.

Especially the part about them having these tickets, and more especially the part about Stevie just being there for a song or two. I'm certainly not basing any expectation I have for it on anything they say.

I will be at this show, and it be interesting to see who gets these tickets.

They are giving away over 80 tix to an exclusive show... Leave it to the five of you to speak for everyone and say this is a bad deal.

You gripe that the Club never does anything for it's members then they give away 80 tickets and all you can do is find faults with it.

How many board members are on this board? I think the reason that most of them don't say anything is that you will take after them just like you do anyone who doesn't agree with your view of how things are.

i think its wonderful that the club is doing this,, however , if they club had been doing what it promised all along this would be even better.
whose getting the tix is another story.

hmmm i thought your club sent out emails to notify its members.if i remember correctly someone of this board who is a member of your board posted it here and they had reservations about the whole thing themselves. so why you need to come here and post to your members here is still beyond me.. they got the email from the club , you or whoever already informed them, you know Jim you are acting like your boss, always putting a spin on things. you work real close to him we can alll see that. and you are the one who looks like the fool.

as far as the club be commended for doing well..its kinda to little to late. when someone pays a fee, the perks should be for everyone, i know thousands cant attend the show, but what have the fans gotten all along except banned ...let it go.. it seems the board here has been quiet about the club, just talking lightly here and there about it ,but you are the one who caused this. sorry to the ledgies for posting to him, but sometimes you cant help it. and as far as the so called member s on here who dont speak up, for fear of being jumped on they are just your ppl , not any ledgies who have really been known on here.

Not mystifying at all. Trinity smells the end is near and is trying to mend fences now. Everyone is truly touched by his generosity now that all of his help is of no use to anyone here. He couldn't show his face around here when people needed it and he threw us out of his own board, but suddenly he wants to belong.

Well folks, according to Burnish, someone has spoken with Lindsey's management and Jonathan Todd and company had nothing to do with this. They were merely trying to take credit for it. The tickets were supposedly put up by Tony Dimitriades, Lindsey's manager and the drawing will be done by someone from East End Management. How it fell to the Fan Club and it's minions to get the word out is still a mystery. Stay tuned.

If this is true...OMG...how low can it go? The club's taking credit for something the management's doing! Why am I not surprised? Tony D. is the bomb. I believe he's behind this more than JT. How can we verify that East End's doing the drawing and not the fan club? So many people don't trust the fan club and would be afraid to send them an email. Can anyone find out where the emails will be going and that an East End employee is handling it? That would really set a lot of fans' minds at ease.

I will call them on Monday, although I truly believe this is true. I thought it the minute that I heard it. When I first saw the email, I dismissed it out of hand as it came from JT and I assumed that the info was to be sent to JT. I would eat briars before I send anything to him. So, I saved it to my files and did not give it much hope. However, once I began thinking, I thought that Tony was behind this and then when Tracy posted it, I have no doubt. I will verify it though for us all on Monday.

Shame on the fan club. Makes me sick to my stomach. Hey, TRIN THIS IS WHY WE DON'T TRUST YOU...DO YOU GET IT YET? Trin is the one who praised the fan club for this. Wow, what a great thing they DID NOT do for us. Again.
