Just a brief note to let cha all know that the show last night was absolutely wonderful. Stevie dedicated Landslide to LA because that's where she and Lindsey got signed to record label and things started happeneng for them. Lindsey and Stevie danced during Tusk (looked like they were dancing around a maypole!).

The setlist was the normal one--with no new songs (Smile at You was not played) and RTTG and Destiny Rule was still missing.

What an amazing night!

Wow. FM really blew me away last night. Id never been so close in concert with any of them before. It was enchanting being right there. I was grateful traffic wasnt so bad so I made it in good time. Pattie saw me when I came in and introduced herself. Pattie, you are a lovely lady!!!!! Im so plain jane hippy girl, I swear, I see people like Pattie and you are sooo elegant! We talked for a bit, then the show started after a while. No new surprises in the setlist, but just a long wait over.

Stevie looked lovely in her dress. She kept changing her shawls throughout the evening of course. I noticed the one she had on for Goodbye Baby was a lovely pink design. She had her GDW shawl, her Stand Back shawl, her Rhiannon shawl, a great topcoat too among others. I did enjoy her hair more than I thought I would. I think it looks good. Stevie seemed happy to be back home and into the moment. She spun around at least 10 times during Stand Back. During Silver Springs, she looked intentley at Lindsey and vice versa. Same with Say Goodbye. Its like you can still see it in their faces, they realize what went down. Even though time has helped that, of course, but its just what happened. I would go so far as to say Stevie looked kind of sad during Say Goodbye. TUSK was amazing. Lindsey went OFF dancing with everyone. Went to Mick's kit first, and gave it some whacks with his symbol (yet playing guitar w/his other hand like a madman), then went and did a jig with McVie who was smiling, then came over and at first cat-n-moused it with Stevie who was a bit reluctant it seemed, but then, so went into the maypole dance it was HOT! They went around and around, the crowd went wild. Then he went back and gave Mick another go before they went back into SONG! And COME OMG! LINDSEY YOU ARE DA MAN. I swear the man turned me on last night, and Ive never been into Lindsey much. ;) He was ripping it up, unlike Id ever seen. It was just amazing. :nod: I dont care for Come on the album much but live really did it for me. He was screaming at the end. I enjoyed Mick's drum solo his vest looked worn. I wonder what it looked like at the beginning of the tour? Stevie would go and dance over towards him from time to time during the gig it was nice. And Mr McVie... enjoyed his playing, just wish he were out there a bit more, but then again, that's John.

Security was NOT nice. They said the band didnt like photos being taken of them up close from the first few rows, so dont take photos. I was grateful to get some shots off, enough I hope so some come out halfway decent. But after Beautiful Child, they came over to me and reamed me and said Id be kicked out if they saw me taking photos again :mad: whatever. They were so watching me all night too, not nice. I wasnt using a flash and wasnt right in their faces. I took some more right at the end with Goodbye Baby (couldnt not do it), and then again at their bow, but I was nervous so they may not come out.

Beautiful Child. Wow. I almost cried. So incredibly touching. That was truly a dream come true, thank you Stevie so very much.

Enjoyed all the other usual suspects, GYOW, World Turning (I love the jam in this it gets me boogying), Gypsy (Pip, I danced for you!), LANDSLIDE (couldnt take ONE photo grr!) touching with Stevie hugging Lindsey from behind, Dont Stop jamming as usual and uplifting.

I enjoyed hearing Stevie sing Chris's parts on various songs. Different but familiar. Sure miss Chris though! Brett however stepped up to the plate and was hot, as was Carlos and Mick's percussionist (Miko?) Forgive me if Im not right there. Sharon and Mindy of course were in fine form, swaying to the music and adding harmony to Stevie.

Holding out for another miracle tonight... but if I cant get up close I cant spend the $$ again for a so-so ticket. I bought a camera before the gig last night so I could take good pics which set me back a bit. LOL! I saw Pattie a bit after the show, have fun tonight Lady!!! I hope to maybe see ya.

Im out of here to read the Ledge a bit, scour for tickets. Ill be back later on this afternoon with some scans of photos. I took film so I have to run to the 1 hr. *fingers crossed!* Glad I didnt tape record, I could hear fine but the sound would have been bad for a recording at that place.

Any celebrities present?

I was lookin for them but didn't see any. I was back a bit on the floor tho. I think celebs probably had the sky box room seats tho. There were people in those.

OK Photos are at the 1 hour now. So far no luck in getting a good seat, so looks like I will not be going this evening. No worries for me though, wow last night was amazing enough as far as Im concerned.

Stevie went off vocally in some parts. Rhiannon... silly dreamer, Stand back "TAKE ME HOME!" as well as Lindsey like during TUSK, Big Love, and of course COME! He dedicated WTWCT to Kristen.

I loved Stevie during GDW, "follow those who pale in your shadow", she made an outline of a woman with her hands going from chest to hips. Her eyes would get all cutsey during other parts of other songs. Im in 7th heaven still from last night!!!

Ill write later on when I know more on the photos. Have a good day you all and Happy Birthday Christine!

PS - I think maybe a few celebs were in the audience but none guest appearing. They made good mention of how they got their start in LA and how they will always remember making it big here in LA.

Well I managed to pull off about 5 or so good shots. Ill have to get them scanned tomorrow then post them here. Most of them came out blurred, the guy at the photo shop told me it was cause the lighting was so much on them and due to the sound I was moving a bit, being so close. I got a couple good ones of Stevie, a few great ones of Lindsey during Come and one nice one of the two of them together. I also got 2 ok shots of the 4 of them at the very end when they were taking their bow. Wish I was there tonight, but memories are keeping me fine tonight!

LOL, I did see Brooke Shields going to the back stage area. I bet she can't even name one Fleetwood Mac song.:(

You are so wrong.
Brooke is a force in rock and roll and she has had many Mac connections over the years. Maybe you forgot, but the original version of Endless Love was a leftover from the Buckingham Nicks album. Stevie's voice was a little higher then, so some folks mistakenly think it's Diana Ross on the song.
And don't forget the working title from Brooke's other classic movie performance, Violet and Blue Lagoon. Stevie was filming the rarely seen Edge of Seventeen video on the beach nearby, and she sent Margi Kent to the set of the movie to design Brooke's rags. Brooke had difficulty managing to walk in platform boots and leg warmers on the sand, not to mention that she was towering over Christopher Atkins, so she ditched the look and just went topless and barefoot.
A few years later, Brooke and Andre Agassi and Lindsey and Anne Heche would often double date together in the Hollywood Hills. Anne even tried unsuccessfully to come between Brooke and her Calvins.
Also, between the Time and Dance albums, Mick asked Brooke to join Fleetwood Mac as lead singer so he could keep the band on the road, but Brooke instead committed to a TV series with Judd Nelson, as it seemed less risky.
(Obviously I'm messing here. I never could stomach Brooke Shields, and I'm jealous that SHE got to go backstage.)

I think it's hysterical how Lindsey dedicates WTWCT to Kristen...it's not a very romantic song, lol. That would be like Peter Jennings dedicating his nightly broadcast to whomever he is married to/dating/etc. :laugh:

I feel he dedicates WTWCT to Kristen cause her and the children have made this the happiest time in his life (according to interviews Ive read w/him saying that). Just IMO... we do live in a crazy world.

Stephanie...good call on why he dedicates that to her. You're right--I'm glad he's so happy now. Imagine what the music would be like if he wasn't! Yikes.:eek:

As I recall, he and the rest of this band made some great music when they were miserable.
But I'm glad he's happy, too.

Q: Anyone take a guess WHY bands/musicians don't like photographs taken from close range? :shrug:

A: The flashbulbs cause momentarily blindness :nod: ...risking, from the minor thing of the embarassment of hitting a wrong note, to the major hazard of them not being able to see the edge of the stage and potentially falling off the stage and causing bodily injury. :eek:

Of course, there's the copyright infringement of "using their image & likeness", but that's usually a minor point.

Well, hitting the wrong notes has never really bothered the Mac before. :laugh:

Or they could pull a Stevie of '86: hit the wrong note and then fall off the stage. :laugh: :laugh:

I understand your points Chili, but if you read my post, I said I wasnt using a flash (cause I know it blinds them). I never used a flash once. Nor am I off hawking my photos on eBay, btw, although I have seen some do that.

Brooke and Andre sat behind me in Las Vegas for The Dance tour and I must say she is quite the fan. She was singing and whooping it up with the rest of us and she is also a very nice person.

You're right! The Bob Dylan cover on the 2nd CD sounds like sang it for her...but he didn't write it...

No, he said BTLH was written pre-Kristen about more than one woman, a composite of sorts........

So, I would guess Stevie factors in there somewhere, as always, so I guess she wouldn't want that sung about her, anyway.
