Unofficial Extended Tour Dates

I posted this at Mick's board, and in the spirit of inter-board friendship wanted to post it here as well (for those of you who can't or won't go there):

This is UNOFFICIAL – i.e., don’t be making travel arrangements yet – but there are now advance sale emails, presumably for the venue presales, floating around for the following extended tour dates and venues. If anyone is aware of any other dates and venues, please post to this thread and I will edit this first post to try to keep the list up to date.

Monday, July 28, Spokane, WA – Spokane Arena
Tuesday, July 29, Boise, ID – Idaho Center
Friday, Aug. 1, Reno, NV – Lawlor Events Center
Saturday, Aug. 2, Salt Lake City, UT – Delta Center
Tuesday, Aug. 5, El Paso, TX – Don Haskins Center
Thursday, Aug. 7, Lubbock, TX – United Spirit Arena
Saturday, Aug. 9, Bossier City, LA - CenturyTel Center
Sunday, Aug. 10, Little Rock, AR – AllTell Arena
Tuesday, Aug. 12, Cincinnati, OH - U.S. Bank Arena
Thursday, Aug. 14, Memphis, TN – The Pyramid
Saturday, Aug. 16, St. Louis, MO – Savvis Center
Sunday, Aug. 17, Kansas City, MO – Kemper Arena

Other Notes

1. Posted by Gypsy:

"This is not engraved in stone, but word has it that after August, the band will be taking a month off to "decompress". Afterwards they will start on their "second leg". They will mainly be playing "sheds"-i.e. Jones Beach in NY, PNC Bank Arts Center in NJ, and the like. They will try to extend their tour for as long as possible, i.e. into next year, and plan to tour overseas as well. The info is from a couple of industry folks. Yes, it's reliable info, I wouldn't post it to fellow fans if it wasn't."

2. An industry source who has been reliable in the past posted at Mick's board that Houston was currently scheduled for the second leg, at a new arena that is opening in September.

3. There are advance sale emails in existence for Louisville, KY - Freedom Hall, and Biloxi, MS - Mississippi Coast Coliseum, but no dates yet filled in for either.

For those of you who struggle with Geography.....Brisbane,

In your dreams DownOnRodeo.....they have to stop via London, UK first...hahahhaha well that is my wish anyhow.

GardenStateGirlie 06-01-2003 04:52 PM

What the hell maaaan...I hope this isn't going to be it. I thought for sure they'd go to NYC and Virginia. :( I'm totally pouting.

DrummerDeanna 06-01-2003 04:53 PM

I knew this would happen!!!! I pay WAY too much money to see them in Phoenix (a venue I don't even have a CHANCE at floor tickets for) then they're coming just 45 minutes away....this pisses me off....I'm a poor college student....and they'll be right here (maybe) oh well...still thanks for posting this!

Thank you for the bit of renewed hope!!!!! I just pray i'm able to get time off from school in order to head back to Jersey (that's if I end up leaving NJ..long story) so that I may see them again. And your little people are too cute!!!!

Rainman 06-01-2003 05:54 PM

UUURRGGGHHH!!

Would it REALLY be that much hassle to come to Vancouver after Seattle? You'd think they'd want to make it up after stiffing us on the Dance tour.

By the way Gypsy, where did you get those great emoticons? Love 'em!

Rainman 06-01-2003 05:56 PM

To Gypsy . . .

Gypsy . . . what are "sheds"?

darklinensuit 06-01-2003 06:07 PM

I knew it.
STILL no Houston.
Or Austin.
Or San Antonio.
For those of you not familiar with Texas geography, El Paso is at the other end of a large state.
I feel for those of you whose states (and countries) are being completely overlooked.
At the same time, Houston is a rather large city to skip in favor of El Paso.
Stevie plays Hoston, why doesn't FM?
No offense to those West Texans and New Mexicans who are looking forward to the El Paso venue. I hope you enjoy it. I don't begrudge you that you're getting a concert, I just don't get why we're not. (Yes, Dallas is driving distance, but every FM fan and scalper in the state swarmed in to get tickets for that venue. Believe me, I tried in the pre-sale, but I couldn't even get the same crappy last row floor seats that I got for Philly.)

Just venting. I'm done. Read on.:D

Thank you to everyone posting here. Before anyone gets too down – I have no info that would suggest that this is a complete list of the extended tour. These are just the dates I happened to stumble across. There may well be more. And, of course, they’re planning a second leg, so there will be additional dates then (though I hope if they’re planning to do sheds in the northeast they don’t wait too long – it can get pretty cold in the fall).

Brian – I didn’t see any listing for the Reno show at tickets.com, but the email definitely says Aug. 1. If you get any different info, let me know.

Tango – love your post. You’ve got that one right! But it’s funny – this time around I’m not getting even the slightest resistance at Mick’s board to the notion of compiling an unofficial list. I guess sometimes things can change.

Joe – you might want to give them more than 48 hours (well, even less than that with the time zone change) to make it from Kansas City to Brisbane!

Gypsy – thanks for the info on the second leg. I’ve edited my first post to add it. If anyone has info on additional dates, or info about any errors in my list, please post them. I’ll try to keep the list in the first post edited and up to date with anything new.

I really do hope that FM heads overseas as part of their second leg – you folks over there deserve it. Just so long as they hit NYC on their way. Yes, I know it’s bad manners to be asking for seconds and thirds before some people have even been served once, but I’m still sooo hungry. Definitely suffering some FM withdrawal pains here!

What I don't get is if they take a month off that means that the second leg will start the end of Sept. The sheds around here close then.
The Mac sure does seem to do things backwards. I know that they have toured the sheds in the summer and arenas in the fall on previous tours.

I myself hope they continue the arenas tour in the colder weather.

tamaraluvsFM 06-01-2003 09:36 PM

Well I sure hope this is true as I look forward to possibly seeing more shows. I sure hope if they play at "shed" places, that the price will be cheaper then the venues...
Also I am cheering for you Europeans...I really hope you can experience what we are experiencing now. :blob1: :blob1:

FM month off

I actually heard ('bout 2 weeks ago) that they were taking the month of August off, or some part of it, like mid-Aug to mid Sept. You may want to add that clarification to your post...but with your info, Cosar, who knows? Your info seems to be more updated at this point.

These bands are constantly updating their itineraries. What holds true today may not hold true tomorrow.
(Just like the Knight's promises, hahahahahaha....oh-I just had to add that in there, sorry!)

And as for NY-ers, I was told that MSG was a slim possibility for now, as it costs-my mouth dropped when I heard this- a million dollars just to mount a show there. I think that as the tour progresses and they rake in more $, it will become more feasible, but hey, although I'm a gypsy, I ain't no fortune teller. ;)

Well Jake, at least they're playing in the same state. Why the hell would they play Salt Lake and Boise and KC and St. Louis but no Denver? I understand Stevie needs a few days to adjust (to the altitude) but if they're playing Salt Lake and Reno why not just tack us on? Ugh.

estranged4life 06-01-2003 11:57 PM

They definitely...

need to play in Houston, San Antonio & Denver...Hell, I'm still shocked they finally decided to come back to OKC after 23 years!!!

*BURP* Can I have a fourth serving of MAC please? Perhaps a fifth??! I'm suffering from MAJOR HARDCORE withdrawl. Seriously, Fleetwood Mac is my drug and I'm a cokehead. Like, my only cure will be to sit smack dab in front of one Mr. Lindsey Buckingham and swoon, grab a leg, touch a guitar string, a buttcheek or two...LMAO! "SAVE FOR COLLEGE!"-MOM "BUY MORE FLEETWOOD MAC TICKETS!"-ME. Pretty soon i'm going to have to start putting vital organs on the black market. Anyone need a kidney?

Anybody know which venue?
I know the main Houston one (other than the Woodlands) was bought by a church.

It's a new arena that will be the new home of the Rockets, and it's scheduled to open in September. I don't think it's been named yet. Here's a link to a site with some more information:

I'm sure they'll come here Pip: Mick's specifically said in several interviews that they'll come to the UK, and they stuck "WORLD TOUR" on the front of over a million CDs. Now I know with Fleetwood Mac nothing is ever certain but I've got a good feeling about this, and I'm sure we'll get a Wembley Arena gig or two at least.

But I hear they're playing Houston now, too. I don't live there anymore, but yay!
