http://www.namm.com/education/2003/descriptions.html Article about Todd is found about half way down on this page!!! This guy is unreal. Who hired him Warner Brothers or the Band? 1:30pm-2:45pm How to Command Free Press and Gain New Customers Rapidly for the Retail Music Merchant Jonathan Todd California A Jonathan Todd, President of SabreMark Inc., shows retailers how to effectively command attention and sales through free press and promotional techniques designed for retail music stores. He has his fingers into several ventures. This man did this for the money, he stroked Mick I am sure, but, he is seems to be a con man...Mick, Mick, Mick....when will you stop this crap?

I still don't think the band knows what's going on. Fleetwood Mac tends to love their fans---right? I'm sure they're hearing the good things, as any business would report.
It might be a while before FM really knows what all went down. |

Exactly!
I mean...beyond the internet, where do any of us stand? We've heard about the Dixie Chicks thing, so have they heard about us--or rather, the Fleetwood Mac Fan Club er...controversy? [insert sarcasm here] Oh, and especially you, Pip. Our #1 troublemaker ;) [/end sarcasm] |

Well, that would be great! I'd love to see some publicity.
I just hope whatever happens makes the Fleetwood Mac Fan Club look as bad as it possibly can, and leaves the band alone. ...because the whole point of hiring someone to do a job is so they can do it and do it well, right? So, if multi-millionaire celebrities can be in bankruptcy at the height of their popularity because their management is putting money elsewhere, it seems this issue of Fan Club negativity could be totally escaping their eyes. |

Elaborate, please? Just so I know what you're talking about, because I honestly don't. |

Well I'm not going to sit here and detail the reasons why the management may also not have any idea---it just seems to me, being at the low end of the totem pole of the Recording Industry that there are many people who something like this might've gone through, or not gone through, or got mixed up with.
So where is 60 Minutes and it's investigative reporting? Let's get some professionals in the field! |

Management knows and others close to the band know.
If the band members don't, heads need to roll for not letting them in on it while also not addressing it. If somebody were put in charge to handle it, I can see not telling the band, but to ignore everything they know, and still not tell the band, that's irresponsible, in my opinion. |
Well the whole thing is irresponsible...I'd really like to flash forward a year to see how this works out.

Business Monthly Magazine a fake?
You know that "Business Monthly Magazine" front page article the Toad was supposed to be on? I looked it up on Google and the magazine itself doesn't seem to exist. Anyone been able to find it to verify it's even real? Can't you just see him creating a picture of himself on a fake magazine cover page to look good? I mean, wouldn't you think there would be a link to the article if it was real rather than just a picture of the cover? Something to think about.

People do self-publications all the time for promotion purposes. It's quite phony but if nobody catches on you can become a real big shot. Now that we're in the computer age people can publish their own magazines and websites saying how great they are, leaving out the fact they're the author/publisher of their own praise. They give out online awards to themselves, too. Is anyone really surprised he'd do this? |
