Item in new People magazine
Insider - Page 47
by Tom Cunneff "It's been 15 years since Fleetwood Mac released their last studio album, Tango in the Night, but their fans won't have to wait much longer for a new CD. The band - Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie - is back in an L. A. studio recording new songs. (Christine McVie, John's ex, called it quits and is home in England.) The group had hoped to get going earlier this year, but the birth of Fleetwood's twin daughters in February replaced rock and roll with lullabies for a while. The two biggest changes between now and then? They are recording during the day as opposed to the middle of the night, and Wheat Thins are the energy booster of choice. I hear Buckingham insists on 12 boxes at all times." Publicity! A small miracle! ;) Barbara |

Sorry but most likely he'll have lost even more weight....!! Reason being fiber is the no.1 thing you can eat to lose weight because it makes your body burn fat like crazy......so if it's true he's gonna end up looking like the cover of OOTC...possibly thinner!!! Nice to see that the world outside of The Ledge is beginning to take an interest in the new album!!!  :wavey: :wavey: :wavey: |
No set release date?
That makes me nervous. I hope they get this thing out before the end of the year!

Wheat Thins!!!
:wavey: seteca....Your spot on...I never thought of that one !
Let's send him a case of greasy potatochips...what he used to eat!Stevie says she never saw anyone eat so many chips!:D Maybe his cholesterol is elevated and he has to cut the fat! Remember...heart disease runs in his family...unfortunately! Just so he stays healthy! Gotta' family to take care of now!!! ;) FYI::::::::::::) :) :) Iam listening to a tape from Lindsey's 1993-4 Tour for OOTC this one is from Austin, Tx.5/4/93! Eyes of The World is great! He is giggling with happiness at the crowd response...and he is ending up with Jessica's song...Soul Drifter!!! LOL!!! Bye. Sky :) |

Wonder if the fiber thing is for the weight or... for
regularity! ;) Sorry I couldn't resist! Hahaha. Energy?? Hummmm. Great to hear some really positive news about the album. Gets my adrenaline going! witchywoman:) |
Thanks Barbara for news. Any sort of even trivial - perhaps especially tivial - "news" is so good to hear. It almost validates my infatuation and anticipation.
And an LB/FM album made by daylight? No doubt it's dark enough inside the walls of The Slope (if that's where they are recording??), but in any case it just all fits togther that this will such a positive, positive CD. I really get that feeling.  |
Daylight Hours!!!
:wavey: Hi! Daylight Hours are Good...then the kids can see their Daddys! The Mac are getting really responsible and very smart!:D
On another note...The Slope doesn't exist anymore does it??? I heard they rented a house to work on The New Album! But then if its ready to put on the masters...they would go to the Village Recorder probably! Hope they are almost finished! Will they have to make videos too?:shocked:This gets complicated! :] Luv' Sky :) P.S. Laura...you take Lindsey's Wheat Thins before he vanishes!:) |
The Slope
They've rented a house in Bel Air to work on the album.
As far as "The Slope", Lindsey is building a new house on the hill and I'm sure there will be a fine new studio included - maybe Slope II? Barbara (About 12 boxes of Wheat Thins - could they be the mature folks' answer to the "munchies"?) ;) |
Great News!

Lindseys biscuits
WELL.... for those of us who don't know what a wheat thin is..we can only assume they are a thin sad example of our own Mcvities Digestive(much more meaty....!!!!!)and we all know what to do with them. So, theyr'e obviously DUNKING them in their mugs of tea, during their teabreaks!Much better choice than those LSD biscuits and beer of years gone by:D Smart Lindsey has ordered loads too for all those unexpected studio guests...(wives and kids).Keep up the good work Linds!!!

Well it doesn't seem for lack of trying that he won't get off the pot!
He can't help it if the Wheat Thins aren't working! LOL! Poor Fellow is all locked up, I guess! LMAO!! Man, I guess I just helped this thread take a serious turn down the crapper!! Sorry! Couldn't resist! |
Getting away from the Wheat Thin fixation...
...didn't anyone question the "first studio album since "Tango In The Night" fallacy???
Obviously, the author of that article is wrong. I seem to recall TWO albums in particular..."Behind The Mask" in 1990 and "Time" in 1995. And, he DIDN'T specify any incarnation in particular, he just stated "FLEETWOOD MAC". |
Typical....
Yes..I caught it. Im so use to these articles dissing anything that wasn't the fab 5.

The author was referring to *this* line-up's first studio album in 15 years. Which is why he mentioned the members by name, and noted that Christine has left the band. At any rate, as frustrating as it is for those of us who know the Mac's history... the current incarnation (plus Chris) *is* Fleetwood Mac, as far the general public is concerned. Johnny Stew |
LOL, Chilli and BLY!
Maybe they were working from info provided them by our own personal font-of-knowledge, Airy!
OK. I'm sorry, AHEAD of time. I know it was snotty. I know it wasn't a nice thing to do. I just couldn't help myself. My fingers just started flying across the keyboard...and look what happened ;) :p    |
Regardless of what the author "meant", his facts, as he presented them, are STILL WRONG!!
|
well.........as unfortunate as it is, we should be used to that by now, shouldn't we?
This band is complicated. That's one of the reasons I like them. They are way too complex for some "People"! LOL! |
who cares
Those two albums sucked anyway.

A matter of opinion...not fact.
Who cares...Those two albums sucked anyway.
Not to me, they didn't. |
or me. Behind the Mask and Time are good MAC albums!
|
YAY! I really am not alone in that opinion! :wavey:
In The Back Of My Mind Behind The Mask When The Sun Goes Down Love Is Dangerous Hard Feelings Save Me Skies The Limit Do You Know? Affairs Of The Heart Talking To My Heart Winds Of Change These Strange Times I Got It In For You Nothing Without You Dreaming The Dream I Wonder Why Blow By Blow Sooner Or Later Nights In Estoril All Over Again ALL great songs!!! |
"Nights In Estoril" is one of the most sublime songs Fleetwood Mac has ever recorded.
That song alone makes Time completely worth owning. Though the entire album is worthy of a place in any Mac fan's collection. I'll admit that i'm not a huge fan of Bekka when she's singing lead ("Dreaming The Dream," "Winds Of Change"), but her and Billy sound terrific on their "duet" songs... and I dig all of her background vocal contributions. Dave Mason's "I Wonder Why" is also a cool tune... though his "Blow By Blow" has always left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. I'm also a huge fan of Behind The Mask. Sure, it lacks some of the production finesse evident on the Lindsey-helmed albums, but at the time of release, its more rock & blues oriented sound made for a nice departure from the high-gloss of Tango In The Night. "In The Back Of My Mind," "Freedom," "Save Me," and the title track, all provide the listener with some Classic Mac moments. And the rest of the album ain't too shabby either! I have my favorite albums, and my favorite Maccer (I am the moderator of the Stevie Forum after all! :D ), but the band's entire history is way too rich to overlook... even if one's favorite member doesn't happen to be on a particular album. Johnny Stew |
Very well said Mr. Stew!
