I wonder if it’s with a band or just Lindsey?

sleepless child 11-12-2020 02:28 PM

I'll be there! This is very exciting.

michelej1 11-12-2020 02:38 PM

I am so glad that he’s keeping up with the times and giving us something to relish.

TrueFaith77 11-12-2020 07:17 PM

I can’t tell you all how this made my day.

Great idea.

Hope there is new music too, but I was just happy to see him and hear him.

This is a big breakthrough for him.

love it!

LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM ANNOUNCES INTIMATE LIVESTREAM SHOW

Lindsey Buckingham has announced details of a special livestream performance for fans on Saturday 5th December 2020.

The show, which will take place at 8:30pm Eastern Standard Time (EST), will be live from Lindsey Buckingham’s home studio in Los Angeles, and will feature hits and fan favourites from his iconic catalogue. The performance will also remain live for 48 hours post-show for ticket holders to enjoy, and fans from around the world will also have access to purchase special VIP packages for the show.

Tickets for the event will go on-sale tomorrow, Friday 13th November.

Buckingham recently joined Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood by participating in the ‘Dreams’ viral TikTok Challenge created by Nathan Apodaca (@doggface208), where he can be seen riding a horse while sipping on Ocean Spray cranberry juice.

When discussing his upcoming livestream event on Twitter, Buckingham said, “I have been laying low lately, just like everyone else and I haven’t seen any of you for a while, so I thought I’d give a little intimate concert from my home studio. It is going to be on December 5th and you can all watch it from the comfort of your own homes.

Lindsey Buckingham, who is widely considered one of the greatest living guitar players and songwriters of our time is also a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and three time GRAMMY award winner. He worked with Fleetwood Mac is as a producer, guitarist, vocalist and chief songwriter for the band, but also has had a successful career as a solo artist, as evidenced on his 2018 solo anthology, which spanned three CDs.

For fans keen to hear some of these iconic songs, this intimate show will allow them to hear 45 minutes of the artist performing live from his studio, with some VIP options including a Q&A package. Tickets for the event can be bought from Lindsey Buckingham’s website directly.

There's a presale going on right now, FYI

I don't know the secret code though: https://arcivr.live/store/athome

soul_drifter333 11-13-2020 10:02 AM

I just got the standard ticket. There's a nice VIP package with a Q&A session for $125 but I don't have the funds to splurge right now.

tango87 11-13-2020 10:08 AM

Got my ticket! He's never made it solo to the UK yet, so this will have to do for my first live Lindsey concert (although it will be a late night...)

UnwindedDreams 11-13-2020 10:12 AM

Holy smokes. The Q&A is sold out already.
Anyone here that got it. Ask him to play "Wrong"!
Thank you.

sleepless child 11-13-2020 12:59 PM

I saw the VIP was already sold out. But a 15.00 ticket to see Lindsey is great by me. I can't wait. My birthday present to myself. I'd like to see other entertainers do this also.

So excited for this--Cannot wait. Hoping he plays "Soul Drifter" He actually promised to on the second leg of the most recent tour. Fingers crossed

Someone was paying attention to feedback after that previous live online gig!

I couldn't get online this morning and of course the VIP pkg sold out.

Will have to rely on all of you who got those spots to fill us in in great detail!!

mitzo 11-14-2020 10:13 AM

45 minutes.

TrueFaith77 11-14-2020 01:05 PM

Gutted the VIP sold out.

I hope those who got it use their power for good.

hope so too! figure Q&A will probably be similar to his recent zoom one.

there are several huge LB fans i know who will definitely ask some interesting questions. then there will always be random clueless people who will waste a question on something we all know answers to already.

hope there will be lots of questions about the new album, future recording and collaborations questions, requests for adding a new song or some not recently played ones in 45 min set that will follow Q&A...

one thing that really bugs me is there was no Q&A option without merch. that made OUS tickets with merch shipping ridiculously priced, effectively cutting out of QA portion fans in Europe, Australia, NZ, Asia etc. But at least they will finally get a chance to see him solo!

i hope he does more of these, and this is just the first of many!!

Same for me. VIP was sold out in a blink. :D

I'm ok with a regular ticket. It'll be plenty of time to see him live.

I plan to ask Lindsey about “Caution” and his expansive, emotional attack on the outro, with its disruptive counterbalance of authentic cadence and plagal cadence. My guess is that he was making a topically charged political statement by such overt reliance on hetero-capitalist modulational forms, as if he were adumbrating the ultimate kiss-off to the neonormative resistance that has yet to fully breach in his relationship with the conservative hegemon John McVie.

Precisely my case. I know merch won't be sent to my country so I'd be paying $125 for just a 45 min Q&A.

Everyone send me a dollar or I'll ask the most predictable, inane question possible :p

That is so cringe. Do people do that deliberately to make asses of themselves — are they trying to annoy the guest artist?

secondhandchain 11-15-2020 08:38 PM

I love LB but really charging people during a pandemic? Everyone else is doing free shows. I can see charging for VIP but come on. You are being very M$ck Fl$$tw$$d.

Shippers see what they want to see. They still think Lindsey and Stevie will run off into the sunset

Melissa and Sheryl do charge for their stream concerts.

Maybe it's going to be harder for him physically to do a 45 min show after his medical challenges.

I say let the guy get paid for playing!:woohoo:
Pumped for December 5!

I don't work for free - why should he or any other artist?

Even during a time of economic stress, his art has value to me. YMMV.

sleepless child 11-16-2020 11:51 AM

I don't think fifteen dollars is much to ask for a muscian of his caliber. I am looking forward to it.

Me either It's the cost of a CD and you get the visuals too Wish it would be downloadable but I'm sure someone will screen capture it. Hopefully, someone will screen capture and share the Q&A! (hint hint)

I've seen plenty of musicians charging for virtual concerts. The only ones I've can remember seeing that are free are benefits and they want donations. I get if you don't have the finds but there will be plenty of other options next year for concerts. I would rather pay $15 for a virtual concert then the $100s they are charging for actual concerts. You can better believe the prices will only go up as musicians try to recoup the money they lost this year.

There are many artists doing this right now.

I bought my ticket, but I haven't gotten an email with the code yet. Has anyone else?

Yes, nearly immediately... the conf. email was from support@arcivr.com if that helps.

Lee 12-03-2020 03:11 PM

I got a ticket

I signed up on Tuesday. Got my email to log in & code. I'll have to write myself a note for Saturday @ 8:30 p.m. ET or I might forget.

I miss seeing live music, any live music. Like I didn't even see any local, live music this year. :(

Looking forward to seeing Lindsey live even if it's on my laptop.

Lee :)

sue 12-04-2020 11:23 AM

I’m getting quite excited, even though I won’t see him as it happens, it will be the early hours here. (I will stream it the following day)
Live music hooray...looking forward to hearing him so much..

sleepless child 12-04-2020 06:53 PM

I didn't get my email so I bought another ticket. Again no email. So I emailed them. Someone actually called me and said my server was kicking the email back as spam. I have another email account on Gmail and we tried that and lo and behold I got my email with the code. The Gentleman couldn't have been nicer and said he would refund one of the tickets I bought. When I thanked him for helping me he said, I really don't want you to miss the concert. This might be my favorite way to see a concert from now on.

I’m looking forward to the show tonight. I hope he has some additional musicians with him. If not, that’s ok but I prefer a band experience when he does a “full show”

I'd rather hear him SOLO than with the karaoke tracks.
