Thank you Les.

Those are facinating.

First off, Lindsey is gorgeous, can I say that enough?

Well anyway, I wonder how that worked out, because didn't Walter, flat out, say he and Stevie connected on the Q&A session he did? And wouldn't have Lindsey known then ( Im sure that wasn't a big bomb dropped on the ledge) so I just wonder how that worked...and lots of those pics are 78-79 so thats way after the fact ...

Just facinating!

That pic with Stevie as the little cheerleader...also facinates me...you can see chemistry there...as scared and young as she looks...

Am I crazy? LOL

wondergirl9847 10-16-2002 12:48 AM

Oooooh...

He's biting his lip in that one pic...yum! I love when guys bite their lip...dangit...I'm REALLY going now...night!! LOL

The one with LB on tambourine was taken, i believe, during a jam with John Belushi, around '78

Mari 10-16-2002 12:25 PM

.. so that was the same Walter Egan who wrote Hearts On Fire for Gram Parsons. I was wondering about that, just got Gram Parsons' Grieveous Angel some time ago. Great album:)
oh and great pics, thank you for locating those!

btw, which beachboy is that in pic no. 2?

jeffles 10-16-2002 04:26 PM

Thats Brian Wilson during his bloated period in the 70's.

Yes, its the same Walter Egan who wrote Hearts on Fire. Grievous Angel is a classic record. Before the Eagles, Parsons laid the groundwork for what would become the "country rock" genre.
If you aren't familiar with Walter's own music, you should start with his album "Not Shy", which featured LB and SN.

chiliD 10-16-2002 04:55 PM

Or "Fundamental Roll" which was PRODUCED by Lindsey & Stevie.

And that's Stevie's own Mercedes Benz on the cover.

I don't think that's Brian Wilson...doesn't look like him AT ALL! Maybe Richard Dashut...but, whoever it is, in this photo, he's the spitting image of my late cousin Paul Bass...who was a fantastic keyboard player.

wondergirl9847 10-16-2002 05:36 PM

Wierd...

It does really look like Brian Wilson, who I thought it was for sure at first, but now that I take a gander at it again....it does kinda still, yet I cover up the beard and it doesn't. LOL It doesn't look like Richard Dashut to me tho.

Oh I've a couple of Egan records/tapes, it's just that I was surprised to find his name along one of the greatest in country-rock. Grievous Angel is great, isn't it:)

but Egan... maybe I just don't have the good records? doesn't do much for me, apart from some bliss when hearing stevie's voice;)

jeffles 10-24-2002 04:36 PM

Fundamental Role and Not Shy, his first two records, are his best. The 3 others he recorded in the late 70's/early 80's are pretty good, not GREAT. However, Egan has made a resurgence. He released a great record in '99 called Walternative (interesting title). He plays in a group called the Brooklyn Cowboys, and just released 3 more records this year, 1 with the cowboys, one solo, and a live CD from the height of his solo career in '78/'79.
It would be interesting if he ever recorded with Stevie or Lindsey again..

i clicked on the link and i don't see any of the pics you guys are talking about...am i retarded?????

Les 10-30-2002 11:56 AM

When you first open the page, the pictures on the site are thumbnails of just a portion of the picture. If you click on the thumbnails, then the whole larger picture shows. Maybe that will help.

If you're just not seeing any pictures at all, then...hmmm, not sure what's going on there.

wondergirl9847 10-30-2002 07:58 PM

Sorry, it was left wide open...lol

Thank you for posting links to those pictures. Those are some good ones. What ever happened to Walter Egan's vow to release his live version of "Sisters of the Moon"?

I think that one picture *does* look like Brian Wilson. I don't know why everybody says it's not.

Yeah, i'd love to hear his version....and that IS Brian Wilson.

Les 11-04-2002 11:31 AM

Brian

I've seen another variation on the photo where Walter is absent and Lindsey and Brian are engaged in some serious conversation. I think definitely its Brian Wilson.

Actually, if you right click to save it on your hard drive, the name given to the photo by the site designer that defaults into your save window is "BWWELB" (initials for Brian, Walter & Lindsey).

Well, he DID release a studio version on the "Lost Album".

From the website, it looks as though there's a live album culled from 1979 shows in the works.
