[Just got this notice in an email from a broadcastor]

Time Life has assembled a nine-DVD set of highlights from the first 24 years of Rock Hall inductions. Included on the set are FM's induction speech, as well as their performance of Say You Love Me and Santana's rendition of Black Magic Woman with Peter Green. Keep your eyes out for the paid-program show featuring some clips.

Well, I never understood why the other 2 were performed anyway. So, I'm ok with that.

Landslide and Big Love. Those were my favorites (of course) and Stevie stayed onstage for Big Love. She did that on Letterman too. I have no idea if she did that during any other BL performances.

I thought it was a nod to BN, honestly... at least Stevie in Stevie and Lindsey's minds it probably was ;) and Stevie probably did some networking to make sure they were able to do that.

Loved it on Letterman, but for FM's intro into the HOF it kind of rubbed me the wrong way, as did Sheryl's speech, but that's already been duly trashed :laugh:.

At least they did do FM songs. They didn't decide to whip out Frozen Love.

Seriously, that would have been bad form. But, when are they going to do that again?! Come on, just once!

It was ridiculous to have Lindsey out there playing solo for a brief Fleetwood Mac ceremony. I'd call it a slap in the face to the others, but they seem not to have given a damn.

On the other hand, it's probably what drove Christine into "retirement."

Yes, Sheryl Crow's speech was as goofily myopic as a Stevie fanatic's typical post. One of these days, I'd like to see the band recognized for its music -- by the band itself, for starters.

I liked Big Love... Landslide to me is just a crowd pleaser... but her bellowing of it makes my skin crawl...

Understood. I usually can appreciate an artist still performing a "signature" song though even if they can't match the original vocal. Not many are ever able to do that and after all, it is their song. So, I listen with the memory of what it was and tip my hat to the effort and the heart from which it is given. Sappy? Maybe. But, that's just my take.

Honestly, I thought they picked the worst three songs to perform. How kickass would Eyes of the World, Gypsy, and You Make Loving Fun. Just three fun, up beat, happy rockin songs.

I thought SYLM represented everything amazing about the band. It was good through the tour, but I'd never seen it better than it was there. If it was to be the last time for those 5, I couldn't want anything more -- except that it not be the last time.

As for what other 2 songs they should have done . . . hard for me to say.

You thought Lindsey playing a banjo and Christine playing a tambourine represented the band being inducted into the hall of fame? My god, they should have brought the f**king house done. Even the grammy performance was better than that and it was chopped to bits. I hated every performance they did the induction night.
