The Feel Good Thread- Light Hearted Jams That Make Us Smile!!!

I was in the car today, and heard two songs that I had heard before, but I realized that both of them were nice and light, and made me smile. I thought it would be cool if we all shared songs that make us feel the same way.

First:

LEN-Steal My Sunshine
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOCRPrEAVxU

Second:
Plain White T's- 1234 I Love You
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1LwS6-g-7E

Enjoy!!!

Wasn't the first song originally sung by a woman? I liked the orig. better. The second song is wonderful. I first heard it early this year, or was it last year? Anyway I really like the 2nd song. It's one of those cute songs you think you only know, but I guess other people know it too.

I have so many songs to contribute to this thread, but I especially like Obadiah Parker's acoustic cover of Outkast's "Hey Ya". When I get home, I'll load it up on MediaFire and share it here. Totally changes the entire song.

"Dreamcatcher" - Andy McKee
"No One's Gonna Love You" - Band of Horses
"Yellow (piano version" - Coldplay
"I Will Follow You Into the Dark" - Death Cab for Cutie
"Save The Day" - Jose Gonzalez
"Slow Show" - The National (Boxer is one of the best albums EVER-- everyone should check it out)
"Answering Bell" - Ryan Adams
"Go Easy" - Ryan Adams & the Cardinals

I'll stop before this list gets insanely long...

I think there will probably be some jail time involved for posting something so "sappy" on the Internet... But how can 'ya go wrong with
"You Light Up My Life" by Debbie Boone? The "feel good song of the '70s."

The other one that comes to mind is "Don't Stop Believin' " By Journey.

And for me personally, "Wheel in the Sky."

I sang this song, a capella, in front of about 300+ people in 1977 for my summer camp's version of The Gong Show. If you knew the type of child I was (very shy), you would know that this was totally out of character for me. Bless my heart- I won the competition. :o

I go more in for angst than sunshine, but I've always been a fan of The Veronica's- Forever. It's just light, catchy pop, and it makes me smile.

Good stuff !! I'd add something by the Eagles probably because I'm really into them at the moment. Peaceful Easy Feeling maybe...And with Bob Dylan you can never go wrong as well

My current feel-good song is Scissor Sisters' "Take Your Mama," but for it to work properly, it HAS to be the performance they did of it at the Brit Awards a few years back.

Singing watermelon patch! I want a singing watermelon patch.

I watch that and I am instantly happy.

I like jams from the great funk/R&B bands of the '70s, like Parliament.

For me, there's nothing like a live version of my favorite song by my other favorite band:
