Stevie Visits

To all you veteran Ledgies out there- Do you think Stevie and/or her "people" visit this forum every so often just to see what's going on?

MacMan 10-21-2005 08:00 AM

Well if they have to visit here to see what's going on, I think we are in trouble. I'd like to visit THEM to see what's going on!.. I'm Just Kiiiiiiiiidddding...

I'd say, yeah they probably do... or someone does. Maybe not on a daily basis, but sure.

If Stevie's people don't visit, they should, just for the beautiful banner's on this board alone would be reason enough. Your banner MacMan is absolutely gorgeous!

Definitely. Plus, I think Marty & Lisa are really Chris & Stevie.

Yeah, I agree. Great banner. Very artistic.

Interesting. Maybe at this point in her career, Stevie may not place as much importance on fan emotions, but I've always wondered if she peeps in...

This has been discussed before & I for one do think her people check the boards (Ledge as well as others). I don't think they give her exact details, but I think they may tell her general things.

There have been a few instances where we've been discussing things on the board for months & things occured - I don't think it's all coincidence. For example, everyone was bitching about the setlist for SYW & Stevie's boring outfits. Voila - a few new capes, hair up, new songs including the much requested Sara. Same with her dropping INTK after 24 years & doing Circle Dance - all of a sudden she just decided this?

I'm not saying we tell the band what to do & they listen, but I think ideas get tossed around & it can grow from there.

Honestly, if every celebrity read every forum/discussion/chat board about themselves, we'd have some pretty psycholgically messed up celebs (hmm... maybe I'm on to something). Seriously, though, I think it's just a little self-indulgent for us all to believe that Stevie is reading with great interest every word we write about her. Or even every other word. Sure, I think people who know her might scan the boards every so often - like maybe after a concert tour kicks off, or after a TV show or CD is premiered/debuted. But day to day? I don't think so. :sorry:

Well I don't think Stevie browses this board, but I have heard that Karen is checking the websites and forums out a lot...They probably give Stevie tid bits...and we know John McVie is online a lot. I don't think for a second that if I was a celeb that I would NEVER read what is online about me...I mean cmon everyone has to be somewhat curious

Chris

Yeah. Besides, the Internet Bug can potentially bite anyone.

I always laugh when I hear naive fans say that so-and-so is "too busy" to go online -- as if everyone online isn't busy & everyone not online is not online because they're so busy!!!

People go online because they get a kick out of it. It has nothing to do with being "free" or being "busy." If people aren't online, it's because they don't get a kick out of it -- or they can't afford it.

Doesn't Jana have a Ledge account as well?

That is the most gorgeous banner! The People photo from 98 is one of my all time favorites. Simply stunning.

Oh, forgot the topic. No, I do not think Stevie reads the Ledge but I do think she gets washed down versions of important topics every once in awhile. Like Paula mentioned, there were some eerie coincidences early this year with certain things. John..he might read. Mick..no idea. Lindsey? Hmm...it is possible I guess.

that's an interesting observation, and i think, totally plausible. The internet would be the best way to get immediate feedback on changes, or to get a feel for what people want. I doubt Stevie is checking things out in here herself, but I could totally see her people looking, and then reporting back with a "general feel of fans" kind-of thing.

ontheEdgeof17 10-24-2005 06:49 PM

Well, some of Stevie's family members have their own websites, so I'm sure someone in her circle surfs the web.
