No disrespect to FM, or the fans who worship the current band...but just seeing her up there, makes me realize why FM has been the soundtrack to my life. And it also makes me realize why the current incarnation just simply bores me to tears, for the most part. Christine is the heart and soul of the band. And of course I've always known that. But seeing these pics of her, is practically bringing me to tears. Reminding me of what's missing... |
Ageed, It's not the same at all without Christine. I'm just amazed that we still have a Fleetwood Mac after all these years.

Stevie & Lindsey tried Don't Stop in a lower key on the 1st (maybe a few more) date on the Unleashed tour. It didn't sound right I guess, so it went right back up to E for the rest of the tour, and yeah it does sound a bit strained now and again. |

But regardless, I don't think it'd be that much of a learning curve. And like you said, she could easily transpose it with the push of a button and keep on playing it the same as always. |

I don't think anyone ever really said that Christine could not record with the group because she would not tour with SYW. I don't think she was pressured to tour either.
I think the recording idea just fell apart, for whatever reason. The band put up the story about the reason they didn't record with her was because then people might expect to hear her when they went to the concert as a cover for whatever the real reason she did not record was, just like they said that stuff about Stevie Crow not wanting to rehearse on mother's day. They put a diplomatic face on things. But I never bought that as the reason. I think they would have loved to draw attention to their album by having Christine's sound on there, if everything had worked out, which is probably why Steal Your Heart Away was on there, even though we'd already had it twice before.
