He was buff and half-naked all the time... what's not to love? ;)

Seriously though, I liked his designs. I'm glad he won.

All kidding aside, that's a good thing. I guess. Just too weird for me. But good for you. I think. I feel so dirty.:o

I have no idea how I ever managed to take the time to watch television. Now that I don't I feel I really gave up a lot of things that are ultimately far more important to me. The end result was unneccesary distraction and some unintended isolation. Which some people can really use. Not me, I guess.
But now I get a ton of books read, which I feel enriches my life to a degree I can scarcely describe. Also, my friends and I have become much closer. The real close ones I now see at least once a week. And I get to enjoy my neighborhood - walking to the store, biking around, etc. I missed so much - in terms of just enjoying where I live. It's become a big priority to me. There are friends who talk TV a lot, and I basically tune out or leave the room. I'm really more interested in the real people in my life.

That is funny. I've now officially turned down being on 3 of those reality design shows. I am so f*cking glad I never said yes. They never pay much anyway. Though the book deals you can get can be lucrative. Wouldn't be worth being talked about on a website or being recognized at the store. No amount of money, man. No amount of money.

I loved Design Star -- completely addicted. David was by far the best. Everyone else looked amateurish compared to him.
