I'm guilty of "cyoo-pon" and occasionally of the "ruff." :( But ITA with you guys on the then/than, your/you're, etc. Another that annoys the piss out of me is when people say "pacific" instead of specific. That just makes a person sound so uneducated.

My sister-in-law, who is 37, totally butchers the pronunciation of some words and it drives me insane. Instead of ambulance, she says "ambliance." It just makes me cringe every time, not that it comes up THAT often, but still....

A bit OT, but can anyone explain where "beyootch" (and other spellings) comes from? (not what it means, I get that! :D) I see American ledgies use it here but I'd never heard of it before. And how are you supposed to pronounce that? :confused:
