I was at the show in Columbus and while the setlist was not very original or fresh, I still enjoyed the show allot. I heard 4 songs I have not heard before.

What bothers me is that certain songs have become stale yet they seem intent on playing every tour. Like Big Love and I'm So Afraid were great showstoppers in their day and while Lindsey still plays the hell out of them the novelty has worn off. He needs to do something different. Same goes for Gold Dust Woman, Rhiannon, Landslide etc. The problem is people still go to the shows and in some cases they go more then one and as long as that continues the band will not change up the show.

This topic has come up on the Melissa Etheridge board where people (including me) have questioned why she won't change up her show. There are people there who fly all over the world to see her no matter what she is doing or where she is playing. How many times do you need to hear the same songs?

If anyone meets Mick at his Meet and Greets why not ask him why they won't put out a new album or change the show? If I was meeting him I would certainly bring it up in a polite way.

I agree was not crazy about the prices of the tickets but will and hopefully be able to get a single ticket to the show on monday see what is available and take what is available and enjoy the show.Can't wait to see it.I do think this is probably there last we might squeek out another tour from them hopefully but if not this will be it.:nod: can't wait to go and cross my fingers and pray that I get a single ticket.;)

The show is already sold out.You're going to have to sell your arm for a scalper's ticket.

see i completely disagree with what you are saying about Big Love and So Afraid. they ARE showstoppers, not they were. especially on this tour, where the effect of his playing is augmented with those jumbotrons. it works really really well! read any review from any of their shows so far. look behind you at the see of people and standing Os. and ISA is actually different almost every tour (although his stage moves are the same :p:D). these 2 songs are absolute showstoppers and he has to do them.

same with Landslide, the whole audience sings that one, she doesn't even have to sing it, it's like a Rod Stewart singalong.

i do agree that Gold Dust Woman, although definitely a must in the set, is very stale the way they do it. they can easily cut the last 3-4 minutes of pure boredom, musically. and Lindsey should jazz it up like he did at the European leg of Unleashed. he also needs to jazz back up SOTM, a lot.

well it's alright if i miss the tour if its meant for me to be there I will get a ticket never paid scalper tickets and won't.If there sold out when I go look and see if there any left and sold out then I guess I save my money and stay home watch live in Boston dvd relieve that night and tour was awesome.

Philly was sold out, and you could get tickets at the box office couple of hours before the show.

did you get your ticket or are you waiting to the night of the show to see if they release any seats at the last minute.

I certainly can understand why people still enjoy the FM shows. They are a great band, after all. I've just never really enjoyed live performances as much as a well-produced, nicely crafted studio song, which is why I hardly ever listen to live albums. I used to love going to shows but just find them a big hassle now. And if all a band has to offer is the same setlist for 16 years, with a couple of minor tweaks, it simply doesn't interest me.

My favorite band, aside from FM and Lindsey, plays without a setlist. Whatever the lead singer calls out is what they play next. When I buy a ticket to a show, I know I am going to get something different from all the other shows I have seen. And that's a show still worth going to.

I'm at bedrock billboards in dc watching the caps game.. Wishing I was in Chicago watching fleetwood Mac.. Wearing my FM 1977 shirt and this guy came over to me and asked me if I was at the fleetwood Mac show on Tuesday. I said yes, I was and it rocked. He said he heard that it did , but didn't go because of the friction between Stevie and Lindsey.. But he also heard it rocked and wished he was there.. My point.. Don't listen to their voices, but listen to your own voice..

I agree Keith was listening to others I am going to try tommorow to go to ticketmaster outlet at walmart here and see if there is any stragglers left for mohegan sun and hopefully will get a ticket.:nod:
